    great work, could i ask the reason for 3/1 i was always taught 4/1 on
    the scratch, ps what ratios on top coat? thank you

    • @markneeson7162
      @markneeson7162 2 роки тому +1

      Same reason as you Lee, it’s the way we were taught. Top coat at 4/1 and this one was wet dashed so it was 3/2/1 stones, sand and cement.🤙

      @@markneeson7162 do you use 3/1 all the time on scratch? in your opinion and experience would you recommend that over 4/1

    • @markneeson7162
      @markneeson7162 2 роки тому +1

      @@leegorman3329 yeah we use it all the time matey. Fairly damp climate in Ireland. 4/1 is grand too as long as your next coat is weaker.

    Cracking job! What is it you’re using as straight edges? The L shaped stuff? Makes so much more sense to use that than a standard straight edge. Cheers

      It's L shape aluminium mate, we got them from the local coach builders, 1ft through to 8ft. Great job 👌

    Do yous lads not use external beads ? Or do you just return your edges ?

      @markneeson7162 Рік тому

      This one was wet dashed so we just used rules. Anything else its beaded Stephen.👍

    • @markneeson7162

      We belcast across dpc in NI. We’ve always scratched to the ground with waterproofer in the mix.🤙

      @@markneeson7162 I put my drips at 150mm high to deal with rain splash effect but never in relation to dpc as that is for rising damp! Anyways thanks for the uplaod!
