Really neat work and some wonderful tips and advice. The methods for plumbing in the second coat (using level to mark plumb depths in the render) and to create the final chamfered edge was really educational. Top marks for another great video!
Love it mate.... Screed lines, sand/cement, old school. ❤ Do you ever put hydrated lime in with the top coat, helps with any movement (no crackage) and beautiful to float up
Yeah usually just mortar mix in topcoat Andrew. If it’s not getting painted straight away we would put waterproofer in or if we’re doing a big panel waterproofer holds it back a bit.👍

High end finishing work lads impressive,
What sand is that your using please
It's actually a blended sand Matt. It's a mixture of pit sand and lough sand. It's from Kelly's of Bendooragh. We're in Northern Ireland.
Taste work lads👍
Nice one Danny.👌👌
You had a hard day on this mate glad you managed you bit 😂
@@alfamad155 haha letting the young lads have the limelight Marcus, I’m too busy taking pictures.😉😉
Do u use mortar mix in your top coat and no waterproofer? Do u just use water proofer in your scratch? Great work thanks

Classy bit of work.Do you ever put any lime in your top coat
No mate sand cement and mortar mix 👍
Surely you would do the plinth after the wall above .
All your gears gone go all over your lovely finish
Water would run between wall and base and blow ,need wall to run down to base so water runs off ,different to when you have a bell bead
Totally agree, Ella. Any render you drop finishing the wall above will fall all over your lovely finished plinth.

What type of rule are you using quite unique?
It’s a bevelled edge from Ramboo tools mate.👍
@@markneeson7162 Thanks for the response mark
Do you top day after scratch .?
No Ian, usually leave it a few days but this one was scratched a couple of weeks before topping mate.
@@markneeson7162 Nice one . Would love to get in with a gang like yours. You seem to work well as a team and you know your stuff.👍
@@ianturner8459 thanks mate, we’ve been together around 5 years now so we should work well together.👊
The Irish are the best but of the Irish the northern Irish are the best tbh
