    • @Rick-uy4kp
      @Rick-uy4kp 3 роки тому

      That only allow 2.7" tire. I'm thinking 2000 CR80r or CRF150r forks and triple clamps. They're different but both have about 10" travel, use dirt bike brakes and are light weight

    What are your thoughts on going lower on the teeth like a 40/42 tooth sprocket

    • @emotobros
      @emotobros  Рік тому

      Large increase in load on the motor for a very marginal top speed increase. Running more fieldweakening with a bigger sprocket still allows you to max the rated RPM

  • @bmangler0880
    @bmangler0880 3 роки тому

    You have to upgrade the front fork before you can get a direct mount stem, correct? Do they make a stem that clamps on the steering tube that will prevent the handlebar alignment problem you were talking about.

    • @emotobros
      @emotobros  3 роки тому +1

      Direct mount will work fine on the stock SurRon!

    Hey what’s up guys I had a question about the orange stem in your link page does that need a spacer or can I just switch that with the stock one? Obviously I don’t know much about bikes and when you click on the link it takes you to Amazon but there’s two sizes 20 and 30 which one fits the stock RSt forks Thank you very much

    • @emotobros
      @emotobros  3 роки тому +1

      Shouldn’t need a spacer. The different sizes are just how tall you want it to be.

    Liked and sub'd. Just got my Ron two weeks ago and put on the same FOX 40 fork (larger front rotor mounted today, tomorrow brake pads). Have a 55t sprocket on the way as well with a new non-o-ring chain. What air pressure are you running in your FOX? I'm 150lbs and run 70psi but am afraid of bottoming. Thanks....

    • @emotobros
      @emotobros  3 роки тому +1

      At 160ish lbs we are running around 85 PSI I believe, you can pump the fork up quite a bit. If you are bottoming on big jumps try adding a click or two of low speed compression.

    • @emotobros
      @emotobros  3 роки тому

      We would be able to do that for laser cut sprocket from steel but if we do machined 7075 Aluminum we wouldn't be making any money. Maybe both options?

    • @m.gardner6173
      @m.gardner6173 3 роки тому +1

      @@emotobros get the steel first. Choose your three most wanted counts that have a decent spread of options.
      Add two or three more if there is a lot of interest.
      Then take the profits or preorders from those that have already bought the steal to get your first order of aluminum
