+Richard Bilot Thanks Richard, I was impressed with the result myself tbh 😂, I need more practice with the brushrolls

HooverLux you do a good job on the brush rolls too they come out like new every time you’re done cleaning them 😊

+Richard Bilot the newer ones are som much simpler, but the older ones are just so much fun

+Richard Bilot I’m currently working on the metal ones for my Juniors. They certainly do come out better after wire brushing them.

I found the belt hard to put on as well, ended up using a screwdriver to pull the belt over the spindle

Might be interesting to see if you use them polishing products and the drill etc to see if it will whiten a yellowed vacuum instead of retro whiteing.

+dyson37 I would have to sand it from a higher to finer grit and then plastic cut and polish

+dyson37 I will have a go at a completely broken machine part and see how it goes

you made a superb restoration job of this cleaner with your meticulous approach. I noticed you attached the bag assembly to the air duct but the black seal seems to be missing?

if you think a regular junior belt is hard try fitting a kirby belt to it.

Good effort. Seems a bit discoloured, isn't it?

NAZEER ADIL it’s a bit maybe, not sure if it would have been a bit lighter new, but the inside of it seemed the same as the outside, that normally the five away as the inside stays good. Think maybe just a sign of the times beige and brown lol.

No, they really were that colour. Lots of beige, and lots of brown, and sometimes cream accents. I've got several this colour... so very early 80s!
