HooverLux anytime bud. I wish we had gotten Hoover he’s in the USA. I do not recall ever seeing one in my lifetime here except the European ones. Ours were always full sized machines.
I think it’s probably because our houses were so small back in the day lol! It would have taken all day to do most American houses 😂😂😂.

The refurb vacuum was once a 1354a too Dorian as you can see where the headlamp socket was once fitted & it has the upper quick release cord clip. The bag looks like it could be the original bag too as it is the right colour. :-)

Yes I agree. She has come up a real treat, almost new looking. :-)
If you had used a handle and bag from a U1034 Dirtsearcher or any of the late special edition 1346A models, it would accommodate the top filling dust tube. The bags are several inches longer and the bag hook is higher up the handle to accommodate the bag, rather similar to the U1012/U1016.
+revooh1 Getting the parts can be a bit of a problem, many times I have to make do and mend or make n modify lol. But yes, that’s very true.
I would always endeavour to keep original specification ;-)
+revooh1 I do try, except for paper bags lol. Because I use all mine all the time the fleece bags keep the machines in good condition, but I sell them with their original bags.

I have just got an orange hoover junior and it's bumper is absent and I wondered where I could find a substitute for one I thought I'd ask you as you seem to bring theese old vacs back to life
+cars and vacuum cleaners I have an early Junior that should have a pink bumper, if I know how to paint the rubber trim I would have, but so far no way of doing it that I know. I was thinking of alternatives, but it just wouldn’t look right, so I’ve had to stick to the white one 😭, maybe one day I will come across a pink bumper.
Dorian am i right did all those Juniors in the plastic body come with the little rectangular knock out bit next to the belt chamber for it to be a potential dirtsearcher to house the little power pack for the light when the cover was on?..
Kind of yes, you’d have to drill through, but the outline markings are then on them.
I have the donor style one but the brush roll does not sit right on one side cause a bit has worn away so can’t use it 😢
+mathew marsh Darn! Like in my High Power compact I had to pad out one side with a piece of felt as the main Hoover casing has a split, that helped a bit with mine.
Its in desperate need of the motor removing, dismantling and the bearings greased. Perhaps I'll have a to do a video on taking apart a Junior and its motor, they are really not that difficult, except for getting the bottom motor mounting screws out, which can be a pain if you dont have a long enough philips screwdriver, I dont have one, but just about managed to get my motors out with the screwdrivers I do have. The motor casing splits in 2 and gives access to the bearings. Yours is from October 1971 btw - date code 110, so its 46 years old this month. The 1346A is very nice, I have one like that, and its the early 1346A from 1970 - 1972, and if you show the date code, we can date it.
+MadAboutHoovers I really wish someone would do a step by step on the motor removal because that poor Dirtsearcher soooooooooooooo needs the bearings greased and I have absolutely no idea how to get to the guts of it. Wish you lived closer 😭

Dorian after getting to know you on here i got my old Junior out the garage it hadnt been on for 5 years last time it was on it just slowed right down so i switched off and left it off ...today i tried it motor running very slow...smoke comin out the 6 slots and terrible electrical burning smell...whats the diagnosis buddy?
builder si67 Motor death 💀🤣🤣🤣, seriously though, possibly motor death, the suppressor would have just exploded, it’s all fixable with a motor refurb or even a replacement motor but after a diagnosis and surgery it would be fine.
cheers bro its a mix and moj of a metal based 1334 i think i bought it in an electrical shop 20 years ago its got a battle ship grey front cover rose pink cord holder loose non geuine handle grip and a check bag with vacuum cleaner on it it was a refurb i picked up a tool set from a junk shop with really longe hose with metal machine end, spiked coverter and metal latched pipes...not the bayonet lock hose/convertor

hi good demo I been looking for a hoover junior for years but each time I go on ebay I just seem to miss one if you know any one that has one to sell I be very interested I have 4 may tag satellite and my grans hoover constellation and a Kirby g7 ultimate gold and my henry and my dyson I had 2 Electrolux one 345 and one 355 but a mate hounded me to sell him them so I not have them now I see numaticvacuum has got an new old stock Electrolux z2020 I was watching him un box it just a while ago he got it of ebay so if you know any one that has hoover junior to sell pleas let me know I have left a message with roger as well thank you
