For better reception you should connect antenna input to 220 volts ac. :-)
Connecting the antenna input to 220 volts AC is not recommended. It might damage your TV and cause safety hazards! 😄.

whats the point of the second cut in the cable, breaching the shielding? I cant see the logic of it.
I don't see the need for the battery. the wire alone will serve as an antenna. My guess is that he was trying to lower the amount of power actually making the trip to the TV.

@@a.f.9730 If he cut through the shielding wires it would create gap that the electrical current would have to cross. That is just a guess. I am not an expert in electronics. I just make minor repairs to my stuff.
