Everyone respects the head of the family, but you dont get to lie to the family just because they arent the head. Sammy knew about the dope and worked it out with the Don to bump off Pauli and Tommy. Sammy is a scoundrel who is a disgrace to the code. Hes greedy and power hungry. Saleari should have been honest with his men. Pauli and Tommy would still have done the job had they known, they would have protested, but they would have done it. But killing Tommy and Pauli for being successful in their robbery and getting away with it? They earned that score, and they had not even had a day to count the money, let alone give the Don his cut. Sammy came in, killed pauli, took the money, and sold it all to the Don. Don Johnson told Clay, there's only one way out of that life. You dont get a gold watch and a retirement party.

I played Mafia II on Steam, GOG, Xbox360, and PS3 and I believed Tommy's dead was unavoidable. Nevertheless; and thanks to @Mafia Game Videos I could save him and in the process make a time paradox/alter timeline.
Very cool, i also think things like this should’ve been in the final game and were cut- that you had multiple options to do in missions that will change ending and overal game storyline
It's true the Lassitter will fetch you around $2,500 to Derek but that car doesn't spawn frequently. And once you sell a car to Derek, you have to walk all the way to the street looking for a high end car. In the end, the fastest way is at Mike Bruski's imo.
@@MafiaGameVideos it does spawn frequently in front of a hotel not far from Derek. That’s how I did the „sell 5 cars to Derek“ Trophy in 15 min and made more money than I could spend
Quickest way to get money is, use the garage in the house that gets burned down to, store high end cars that spawn outside that house (entering and leaving spawns more) then, after house burns down.. sell cars at the docks.
Unfortunately, this is just a glitch. Tommy's death is cannon, and nothing will change this 😢 Different to Mafia 3, where Vito's death is optional and the player can decide his destiny (personally, I consider that he is still alive).
This of course destroys the ending of Mafia 1 Edit: but this does give a way better ending to the Mafia series... Tommy dies peacefully to aging... Vito and Joe make it out of the Mafia and the same peaceful ending for them as friends... and I have yet to see Lincoln Clay's story
I didn't bother killing Tommy yes he was a great charakter but honestly he lived a pretty good life in the end he had a family and didn't get killed by Sam it's sad that he didn't die peaceful like sleeping for example or lying on a chair in the garden enjoying the sun but at least he saw his family grow up and be there while he could
Salieri already controlled Lost Heaven and he was friend with other family bosses if he simply didnt rob the bank, he could have seen his daughters marry and die peacefully.. Not every mafioso in his time had such privilege.
0:40 you can drive a truck that's parked down the road, drive to the yard and get one of the two cars, drive into the press with one of the cars then leave in the truck. Go back to the yard and that car will still be in the crusher and another car will respawn in place of the one you take. You'll now have three cars to crush instead of two. Once you carefully put all three cars in the crusher, you'll get approximately 1200 dollars each time. Drive off in the truck, repeat.
You know i also found out that if you already have $27,500, your half of Bruno's $55,000,you can go straight to Joe's after killing Tommy Angelo and avoid killing Derek and Steve, also in the second half of the chapter, when Vito is looking for Joe you can go straight to the Mona Lisa Bar and trigger the cutscene where Vito is captured and taken to the construction site where Joe is being held instead of checking with Eddie at the Maltese Falcon and Giuseppe at His shop
Bruh, that part blew my mind when I realized I was playing the two dudes who killed Tommy in the first Mafia. I was so sad Tommy got killed when I played the first game!!
That doesn't work, i drove to joe's apartment and the game wouldn't let me store my car in the garage and why would you be looking for joe at his apartment when he was in the car with you
That is an amazing trick so you can almost skip the whole mission in an easy way. so Tommy, Steve and Derek technically can be alive good alternative. That’s why I love mafia 2 it’s the best it’s so many new things everyday to explore, the detail, the myths!
@@Minty_659as if Mafia 1 doesn’t have horrible bugs and glitches and bad mechanics. Like the crappy missions such as the race that EVERYONE hates and chasing a plane in a car that’s slow as a slug? I'd rather grind and save 55k to get this glitch done Vs Killing derrick and Steve at the port that mission is hell on wheels and those Molotov's are super annoying when your taking cover from gunfire
Why do you need to get $55k before starting the mission? If you know were joes apartment is, you just drive there and the cutscene will change, it's like the 1st mafia game, after you win the race in chapter 6, you have to drive paulie home, it's marked out on the map and you can't change the way point because you have to go to that point in the game, but paulie asks you to bring him to see girls, you can't mark it on the map so if you know were it is, drive him to the club and the cutscene will be different from if you dropped him home, plus you get a trophy if you bring him to the club

To this day this game is just so amazing & surprises me each time. Yes it has it's flaws but this rivals GTA 5, whether it's a clone of it or not. Simply brilliant title !!!
You can also use this to bypass the fight at the docks. I did this on my very first playthrough (on Hard mode), so I unlocked the Tough Nut trophy without even knowing what that fight is like lol However, you don't need 55k dollars (I had 29k, just over what Bruno needs, which I amassed in ch12), and you don't need to park in the garage. Doing this doesn't avoid killing Angelo it just helps you with you being able to cover the loan shark debt Joe and Vito owes for the drug deal that went south with Henry.

The fact that they give you HALF is the real Easter egg here. Phenomenally done
I wish the game can give you options to earn instead of killing Tommy Angelo. But even know you didn’t kill him it still cannon that he got shot😢.
No need to bring out the big guns.
Why we should kill em ??
Because of our far away family bro. Sallieri was respected.@@zahraaehsan4032
I played Mafia II on Steam, GOG, Xbox360, and PS3 and I believed Tommy's dead was unavoidable. Nevertheless; and thanks to @Mafia Game Videos I could save him and in the process make a time paradox/alter timeline.

So instead of glitching the office to make the fight against Derek easy, you can just skip that shit altogether.
Huh.
@@MafiaGameVideos custom emojis are a thing now? Brave new world.

@@preiselbeerpie4555 good job
Very cool, i also think things like this should’ve been in the final game and were cut- that you had multiple options to do in missions that will change ending and overal game storyline
@0:12 he literaly sold lassitter for less then 500 dollars when you can literaly sell it to the derek for almost 3000 dollars 🤦
It's true the Lassitter will fetch you around $2,500 to Derek but that car doesn't spawn frequently. And once you sell a car to Derek, you have to walk all the way to the street looking for a high end car. In the end, the fastest way is at Mike Bruski's imo.
@@MafiaGameVideos Well some times when i am driving bolt trower/Smith Thunder Bolt to derek they spawn multiple of them there...
@@MafiaGameVideos 2850$ if I remember it right. I sold a couple of them :D
Tommy's death is cannon, and nothing will change this 😢
Different to Mafia 3, where Vito's death is optional and the player can decide his destiny (personally, I consider that he is still alive).
It's not avoiding killing him, it's using glitches to avoid doing the mission
You can put multiple cars in the crusher at once, 4 possible, only ever done 3 without the area respawning all the vehicle while gone.
This of course destroys the ending of Mafia 1
Edit: but this does give a way better ending to the Mafia series... Tommy dies peacefully to aging... Vito and Joe make it out of the Mafia and the same peaceful ending for them as friends... and I have yet to see Lincoln Clay's story
Mafia III has multiple endings, one of which involves you killing Vito
And Vito never left the mob, just the Falcone family.
I didn't bother killing Tommy yes he was a great charakter but honestly he lived a pretty good life in the end he had a family and didn't get killed by Sam it's sad that he didn't die peaceful like sleeping for example or lying on a chair in the garden enjoying the sun but at least he saw his family grow up and be there while he could
He was a rat
yu trippin i jus beat da first one n im hurt😭 now i find out i gotta kill him ina second one
Salieri already controlled Lost Heaven and he was friend with other family bosses if he simply didnt rob the bank, he could have seen his daughters marry and die peacefully.. Not every mafioso in his time had such privilege.
@@jakubwarenich4439 No! The problems are Frank und the woman Tommy didnt kill :/
I also like doing it this way more because after Vito kills Derrick then either way he would've been fucked by the families
Never knew this one. Knew about sparing steve and derrick, hardest mission IMO
I love Tommy, but ain’t no way I’m missing out in spilling Steven and Derek’s caps
Bro I never knew that
It's true bro ?
Ahhh, too bad they're all tied together. Killing Derek and Steve is a pretty solid course of action lol.
That’s actually a crazy skip
Bruh, that part blew my mind when I realized I was playing the two dudes who killed Tommy in the first Mafia. I was so sad Tommy got killed when I played the first game!!
Is there really a point to not killing him if its basicly cannon that vito does kill him?
Good.. now in my head cannon Tommy gets to live a long and loving life
Sounds good to me.
Ive been playing this game since 2010 this is awesome never knew this
We need an alternate ending.... Or maybe Tony Angelo hiring vito as a bodyguard..... This opens so Many alternative timelines!!!!
Tommy Angelo attacking the car Joe's in at the end and rescuing him
@@Raooka that Will be awesome!!
@@Raookajoe is at the end of mafia 3 though..when lincoln kills sal
So you can’t kill Derek man that sucks he really should’ve been the final person to kill because he was bogus
Something deep inside Vito telling him to do these things but he doesn’t know why.
Finally mafia 1 gets a good ending
Yeah, it has its benefits.
No. Its just mean that job will be done by someone else.
Don't you see him being killed at the end of Mafia 1.......
I love that mafia 2 is still talked about in 2022-2023 best mafia game outta the series
Hopefully they make Mafia 4 , back to its italian mob roots , maybe set in the 80s
Mafia 2 is actually good but for me 1 is the best
That doesn't work, i drove to joe's apartment and the game wouldn't let me store my car in the garage and why would you be looking for joe at his apartment when he was in the car with you
That is an amazing trick so you can almost skip the whole mission in an easy way. so Tommy, Steve and Derek technically can be alive good alternative. That’s why I love mafia 2 it’s the best it’s so many new things everyday to explore, the detail, the myths!
Mafia 2 is very overrated it is just a glitch that doesn't affect the storyline Mafia 1 is superior in almost every way
@@Minty_659 okay 👍🏻
Jesus, calm down, its just a glitch. . .
Mafia 1 also has many details and myths. From my experience, it's much more than Mafia 2.
@@Minty_659as if Mafia 1 doesn’t have horrible bugs and glitches and bad mechanics. Like the crappy missions such as the race that EVERYONE hates and chasing a plane in a car that’s slow as a slug? Can’t forget the police that NEVER drops your wanted level even when you left them behind 15 streets over. Yep so great! 😂
I'd rather grind and save 55k to get this glitch done
Vs
Killing derrick and Steve at the port that mission is hell on wheels and those Molotov's are super annoying when your taking cover from gunfire
I guess. But doing this and Angelo not being in game is like killing him anyways.
(YT subtitles) Derek: Sorry, I have nothing for you, Frito 😂😂😂
Why do you need to get $55k before starting the mission? If you know were joes apartment is, you just drive there and the cutscene will change, it's like the 1st mafia game, after you win the race in chapter 6, you have to drive paulie home, it's marked out on the map and you can't change the way point because you have to go to that point in the game, but paulie asks you to bring him to see girls, you can't mark it on the map so if you know were it is, drive him to the club and the cutscene will be different from if you dropped him home, plus you get a trophy if you bring him to the club
Vito, what have you done? You changed the future!! You've created a time paradox!
great. i was looking for a reason to replay this game. thank you.
playing the definitive trilogy. Tommy had a good life
Love this, thanks a lot!! I just started playing this amazing game, after couple years, and happy to learn new things about how to do things differently.
I never knew that you can actually avoid killing Tommy Angelo in Mafia 2
Tommy is my favourite character. I'd never kill him
You can say that again
You favorite Character is a rat.
@@preiselbeerpie4555 😂😂😂😂
The fact is that he has been already killed in Mafia 1, so, too late.
To this day this game is just so amazing & surprises me each time. Yes it has it's flaws but this rivals GTA 5, whether it's a clone of it or not. Simply brilliant title !!!
You can also use this to bypass the fight at the docks. I did this on my very first playthrough (on Hard mode), so I unlocked the Tough Nut trophy without even knowing what that fight is like lol
However, you don't need 55k dollars (I had 29k, just over what Bruno needs, which I amassed in ch12), and you don't need to park in the garage.
(Played on PS4 version)
I never knew this… . Thanks
Wow I never knew that
Thank you for the useful tip and efforts!
I really really really miss this game the memories it brings and especially the music 😅
Vito:mr angelo
tommy:uh yes
*keeps looking at tommy*
tommy:just send salieri's regards by killing me
vito: ok I'll call joe
vito:joeeeee
joe:*grunts* and *screams in pain*
sarah: its ok tom i got him maybe you can deal him by yourself
joe: please i wont kill tommy
sarah: sure?
It wont chsnge the fact that tommy is dead in the story
So the way to get out of the mafia is to just get a job and go home. Lessons were learned :P
Vito : Mr Angelo
Tommy : No Rip Van Whinkle
I haven’t played this game since its console release way back when. I never knew that I could spare that Rat.
And the purpose of saving his life is? (Except beeing kind)
I literally have my game paused when Tommy gets shot and he's laying on his back and then looked up this video women will never understand what it's like to have to murder your previous character man
Doing this doesn't avoid killing Angelo it just helps you with you being able to cover the loan shark debt Joe and Vito owes for the drug deal that went south with Henry.
This does't change the outcome.
Tbh, it’s not worth it as it doesn’t effect the game.
maybe u avoided in the game, but u cant ever canonically avoid it
I did not know this ! Really cool
Game crashed a bunch while I tried to do this, would have given up but I’m glad I didn’t, Tommy didn’t deserve to die
I played through the whole game of mafia 2 and never knew that
Doing this though kinda interferes with the story as the ending of mafia 1 had Vito and Joe killing Tommy
"Mr Angelo? Salieri sent you a cup of hot chocky"
Thank you!
Only if Vito knew what big of a deal Tommy was back in the day, but hey at least Tom can rest in peace, now that he has fulfilled his duties as a father securing the lives of his children and his wife, he can now rest in peace 😢
