Having fully played Mafia: Definitive Edition, I’ve noticed that they made certain changes in the story. Like the girl Tommy was supposed to kill: she was a friend of Sarah in the original. In the Remake, She was just a girl that Sammy had a soft spot for. And the cigar mission, the original game twist was that the cigar held diamonds. In the remake, while the trio were told that the cigars had diamonds stolen from the feds hidden inside, in actuality, it contained heroine (dope as they called it back then.)

At the end of the day. The true main character of the mafia series is Vito. He’s an antagonist in the first, the protagonist in the second, and a side character in 3. Ya know the thing i love about this Mafia 2 is that, Everyone you like is whether you like it or not...is a bad person but some still have a heart and empathy.Especially the main trio Joe is a murderer but a loveable goofball. Vito is scary and unhinged but he is also naïve,cares about his friends, family and a real charmer. and Henry is a rat.....But he means serious business and a badass with a rough voice. and Dear Goodness....They are all just too damn likable for us to forgive whatever they do. Like Especially Joe,He murdered Tommy angelo without a second thought and we *still* love Joe as a Character and the game still managed to make us sympathize with him cus of his great writing and not many writers can pull this off. if he was written badly,he would have been one of the most hated character in video game....Like Abby from TLOU2.

If Mafia 4 was ever made(for PS5 of course), then it should take place in the 80's during the drug epidemic in the Caribbean Islands and some parts in the U.S.
Mafia 1 remake changed so much I totally didn't realize. Like Michele in the remake wasn't Sarah's friend, in fact it was a girl that Sam was fond of, which actually explains how she knew enough to be worth Morello's time. Also instead of frank, a generally old man having a very young looking wife, and a definitely young daughter, he has a wife that looks closer to his age, and his daughter looks like she could pass as a young adult.
1. I feel you on how a lot of people will watch your videos but aren't subscribed, given how much it takes to make them and not really getting much from them. And 2. I've seen/heard in a video that the next Mafia game, Mafia IV, is said to take place in 1970s Las Vegas and is to have a Martin Scorsese vibe to it. Though I suppose we, the fans/gamers, will have to await and see what happens in the Mafia series.
The first game is great, but is not for everyone. Some younger gamers used to play more fast paced games found this game more frustrating. To me the first game is the best, it has a great immersion even by today standards. And the realistic car physics is a good challenge
I just played all three back to back, i liked the games. All of them are far from perfect, but still really good for a story perspective. I liked how they are linked and don’t realize it until ya deep i to the game.
Don’t get me wrong, Mafia 3 was a decent game, the setting, seeing the world through the eyes of Lincoln and how he’s treated and other black folks during that time and all but I just can’t really see it as a “Mafia” game. Sure the game has you deal with different Mafia families and all but Mafia 1 and 2 had the characters be in one of the families. Showed them getting introduced into the families and seeing them go through the life of a mobster. 3 is more of a revenge story with Lincoln getting rid of the Marcano’s. I just hope if that if the day comes and Mafia 4 is released, it’s more like 1 and 2, set and focused on the Italian mobs, more of the prohibition era type of setting, see how the characters goes through the ranks of a mobster and let you choose your fate. Although 1 and 2 have set endings, let 4 be a bit like 3, have the game let you chose your ending.
I love donovan, so much so, that the one part I disliked about the video is when he talks about Lincoln finding out donovan was in town after he awoke. He actually told the pastor to call him before his coma. Not a big deal of course, but being my favorite character in mafia 3, it bugged me lol

Ascii89 You don't have to subscribe when they tell you to. If you enjoy the content then subscribe, SIMPLE!!
Subscribing to the channel won’t reduce the amount of work it takes to produce a video.
@@staystrongisrael3547 my decision on subscribing factors in if they ask for subs and likes or not. 80% of the time when they ask and beg for I don't subscribe.
Then you have the people that beg for money even though their content is terrible but that is a whole different story.
I cannot believe this channel doesn't have more subs, I would assume this channel is easily in the millions if I didn't know, just based on the work and presentation.
This has really helped after playing the series
At the end of the day. The true main character of the mafia series is Vito. He’s an antagonist in the first, the protagonist in the second, and a side character in 3. We essentially witnessed his life story so it’s fitting that after the betrayal and the heartbreak he finally makes it. After wanting to be someone he finally gets his wish in 3 (depending on your ending)
Can he die?
@@Alexsomnia it’s optional, but many players if any do it
@@fadedflame2537 How. Tell me how. I want to avenge Tommy. Even though some people might like Vito I don't care, he HAS to die. I got so used to Tommy that I can't just let him die like that.

People play Mafia III and think they know the whole plot. Appreciate this as always.
Just like people who play Mafia II
Not abad game at all
Bro the end with Donovan came out of nowhere. That scene was wild asf the first time I saw it.

I express my thanks for the videos you share, while adding subtitles. I feel neutral on the storyline, but the details in the games, the narrative and characters are intriguing.
Can’t believe DE came out over a year ago now, it has just made me Mafia 4 even more than I did!
That man at the end with leo is joe I'm fairly certain and there is also a fan theory that Lincoln is Joe's son. People think this because when Henry warns joe people think he goes to new Bordeaux. Idk all the details
I heard a theory that when joe and Vito split they both were told the other one would be killed and went on with there lives joe works for Leo and Vito went to new Bordeaux
Oh wow I was just gonna recommend you do this before checking your recent uploads and noticing you already done it
Hope you enjoyed it!
Sure did
I played mafia 3 for 16 hours and because of the damn 2k launcher couldn't run the game anymore, so here I am, getting a brief of the journey I payed to walk through...
Thank you SG, another quality timeline video.
That mafia 2 mobile games sounds very interesting especially the ending were the antagonist is murdered without even achieving his goal.
I played mafia 2 the remastered version and mafia 3 I loved them both..this channel is pretty slick! U have yurself a new subscriber!
Ya know the thing i love about this Mafia 2 is that,
Everyone you like is whether you like it or not...is a bad person but some still have a heart and empathy.Especially the main trio
Joe is a murderer but a loveable goofball.
Wasnt tommy vitos dad? Or I got names mixed
@@ItzSmokeyB you got the names mixed up. Vito's dad is Antonio Scaletta, a deadbeat who was killed due to his involvement with a loan shark (Bruno)
Great video!
You should remake this when the Mafia 1 Definitive edition releases
Tengri i think I’m the only one who gets the sarcasme and irony in that
OOh i get it xd
I played every single Mafia. They got a great story fr fr. This video is amazing for explaining the story to yaw
This Is A Good Video!!! Good Job, Suggestive Gaming!!!! 👍🏿
I'm glad you like it
@@SuggestiveGaming I'm glad you're doing this video. Unfortunately none of us can't even remember definitive edition is more like a remastered version of the video game. Although Mafia one isn't really on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One but maybe on PC.

How come you guys don't have a million + subs .....
This channel has done a lot of hard work ....
We need a game based around John Donovan & his shenanigans
Yes! We need something like that.
I’m late but you guys waiting until 17 minutes to tell me to subscribe is unacceptable. Video was to damn good for that. To humble. Love this channel
This comment threw me for a loop. A lot of folks complained about me asking to subscribe so I never did it again. Thanks buddy 🙏
God damn, the Mafia games and their stories are amazing. Your video is too,had to subscribe and give a like!
Seening this after playing the mafia def edition shows how much love the devs put in to it. Just wish that mafia 2 would have had the same time and love
I thought John Donovan was called to New Bordeaux when Clay woke up to tell Father James to call Donovan
He was.
He was, Sal Marcano killing his friend's family and discovering his role in killing JFK was enough incentive to help Lincoln take him down
Mafia was a beautiful game and I love how all tie together
Although the third installment of mafia had one of the most rage inducing repetitive gameplays, imo the story was just fantastic!
This vid is awsum! Thanks for detailing every mafia. Ive been tryin to figure out which one id played yrs ago and loved but didn't get to finish. Now i can get a copy again!!! Thanks man!
15:40 he's looking the other way while talking to Vito
thank you for this. I had no idea joe did all of that while vito was in jail. mustve been a dlc

Wonderfully explained. Awesome job 👍
For anyone wonder what happened to joe He got loose and left Empire Bay, eventually ending up in Chicago where he turned to some guys he knew for help. According to a source close to Vito, those men turned on him. He was severely beaten, had his hands cut off and face smashed to hell.
How do you know about this

Mafia 3 ending that perfectly fit is helping vito but the perfectly fit and sad at the same time is where lincoln died in one of the ending.(Haven’t been playing mafia 3 so I don’t remember that much).
I never came around playing Mafia 1 (Remake HYPE)
I really liked Mafia 2 (Got hyped for Mafia 3)

If Mafia 4 was ever made(for PS5 of course), then it should take place in the 80's during the drug epidemic in the Caribbean Islands and some parts in the U.S.
That’s a great idea for Mafia 5, But Mafia 4 should take place in 70s Las Vegas
@@703-f4u don't think hippie age was mafia inclined
Since Mafia 3 took a different route in organized crime, imagine Mafia 4 in London or Cuba. That would be a good story to tell

Do you mean it should be a ps5 exclusive cuz if so then I’ma be really depressed, cuz then I’d have to spend money on a console I don’t want
I love it! Now I want a serie on netflix!!!

please do the darkness story summary next
I’m excited
23:55 Vito and Joe sure did hit different back then haha
Love this video can you do True crime?
Amazing video and thanks for the english subtitles!
Why almost everybody, who love/think that Mafia 2 is the best, never played Mafia 1?
Although 1 and 2 have set endings, let 4 be a bit like 3, have the game let you chose your ending.
thank u for your all work man all ur videos are insane keep it up
They should make John Donovan the main character in mafia 4
Terrible idea, it wouldn't even have anything to do with the mafia.
@@nathanniesche6380 well it could work it just needs to be a spin off series from Mafia overall.
I love donovan, so much so, that the one part I disliked about the video is when he talks about Lincoln finding out donovan was in town after he awoke. He actually told the pastor to call him before his coma. Not a big deal of course, but being my favorite character in mafia 3, it bugged me lol
