Good to know! Many current school didn’t require anything, which is quite interesting. I make them anyways. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, dear friend!
I’m only required to hand in a year plan that expands on broadly outlined unit plans, with rough timelines, and then there’s freedom for the lessons, i plan them for myself, not for our admin. Thanks for sharing your system!
But how am I supposed to know how long it is supposed to take? 🥺 you said you want this unit to take 4 weeks but how did you randomly come up with that number?? I’m in teachers college and really struggling with lesson planning/unit planning
When you first start teaching, you will do some guessing. You need to know WHAT needs to be taught (subject, grade) and how long each block will take. For example, if I am teaching a unit on operations for grade 2/3, that could be 1-2 months, if I'm teaching it 4x/week. Operations is a larger unit in math. Many units will take either a week or a month, depending on the learning outcomes that you need to cover.
@@donn07 I’m sorry but this channel doesn’t go into theories. I have a link to another channel that might help you: ua-cam.com/video/TfiJQ4r44O0/v-deo.htmlsi=aVHN64ufmVPhDBsO
I create unit plans then break down into weekly plans. I send both to my principal. Great information friend!! Blessings!

Hi, do you have a Unit Plan template on TPT?
Hi Marlize, I don't but let me see if I can upload one for you.
@@ItsAllPrimary thanks so much! Would love to see an exaple of a populated one as well... just to get an idea of how much detailed you add.
