The scene where Garth asks Wayne about finding Bugs Bunny attractive when he put on a female costume was improvised by Dana Carvey. Mike Myers' reaction and laugh was genuine and not scripted.
That and the rope in gym class lines are two of the funniest in the movie to me
Love me some Mr Video ❤
Thanks, IMDB

Mike Meyers is the reason why my generation knows queen. Thanks Mike!
Fun Fact: According to guitarist Brian May, Freddie Mercury did give permission for the song to be used and saw the clips while he was close to death because Mike Myers had sent a tape and wanted him to see it, which Mike Myers really fought to keep the song "Bohemian Rhapsody" in the movie and nearly the whole song too.
Also, Tia Carrere was already an accomplished singer before this movie and did all her singing scenes. She also learned how to play the bass guitar for the songs too.
Definitely can't wait for "Wayne's World 2" reaction!
Led Zeppelin absolutely did not give permission for this movie that's why there's no stairway
@@Raven5150 In the theatrical release Wayne did play the very recognizable opening notes of stairway, which was the setup to the joke. Now the joke is that stairway is double denied, he doesn't even get to play the opening notes.
and then Mike Myers ends up in the Bohemian Rhapsody movie.
A ciiiircle of liiife@@FiveAcross
@@FiveAcross wait, whaaaat?! I’ve never gotten around to that movie, but I need to watch it!
Queen was fairly obscure to my generation when this movie came out. Queen got a lot of new fans because of this movie.
Obscure? They dropped off in popularity, but were far from obscure. They had released an album the year before the film came out and it went to #1 in multiple countries.
Omg seeing Leo sing Bohemian Rhapsody brings everything full circle from a couple years back when he was working through Queens music. Beautiful.
By the way the doorman at the first club they visit whom they call tiny was Meatloaf (RIP to a legend)
28:47 Yes that is Robert Patrick who did play the T-1000 in Terminator 2:Judgement Day. It was an amazing reference that was completely out of left field but still is seen as one of the best cameos in movie history.
I don't know.. Charlton Heston in the second film is fire..
Yeah Leo, like he said, that's indeed the cop from T2, Rob Patrick, & he's holding a Polaroid of John Connor when he asks Wayne if he's seen him...
Until the sequel pulls off the best cameo in history... Until Zombieland of course
@@mcgilj1 Chuck, lol....Even the name tag in the Hesston cameo was hilarious. I definitely think that is at the top of all movie cameos.
@@IDieHardForever I think Murray is 2nd behind Hesston but they can easily be interchanged as the best ever.
I'm really glad Mr. Video did a lot of musical reactions in the past. He was able to understand a lot of the hilarious musical references in this film.
I had the same thought!
I got the notification for this reaction and I immediately thought, ''he's gonna love the ''cream of some young guy'' joke''.
The reason Stairway To Heaven was "denied' is because in real life the rights for the song were gonna be too steep. In actuality they only played two correct notes and had to edit the other notes or else they'd have to pay the very steep rights to use the real riff. It became more of a running gag because because in real life people used to play Stairway To Heaven when testing new guitars
Led Zeppelin is notorious for being very selective in giving permission for licensing their songs, especially in movies.
The commie Led Zepplin are worried about making money.
You've picked a real winner. Another part of my trinity of films that perfectly portrays the 90s, particularly the specific type of materialism and satire that were prevalent throughout the decade. So much dumb fun, it always takes me back to a simpler time.
"Materialism"? LOL wut? The one time the protagonists give in to materialism, they regret it almost instantly and spend the rest of the movie trying to fix it.
@dudermcdudeface3674 I meant like the partying, the music, the stuff on tv and the goofy sponsorships. There's a brand on display or they're ordering food or shopping almost throughout the entire movie.
@@ShaDHP23 Being entertained by everything around you is called youth, not materialism.
What are the other two films?
@@heatherrose5594 Ninja Turtles (which he already watched) and the original Bill and Ted movies
1:30 Heather Locklear was a ‘Babe’ back then.
She was married to both Tommy Lee of Motley Crue and Ritchie Sambora of Bon Jovi.
An actress in her own right: Dynasty, Melrose Place, T. J. Hooker.
She was postered on a lot of walls.
"A Sphincter Says What?" was one of the greatest things to say to parents lol
During lockdown, a zoom group chat was filmed among the cast, director, and such for Wayne's World. They even had the suck-cut inventor there! Alice Cooper was there as well, with the green screen behind him showing the Delaware backdrop. So good, and very nice seeing they all had fond memories of the production.
Lockdown sucked, but there were some amazing bits of content made during it like that zoom chat. My favorite was a virtual script reading for the Princess Bride featuring all of the still-living cast members.
What do they know about Bohemian Rhapsody you ask. Wayne's World single handedly revived Queens career no cap.
@@josephramirez3688 As much as I didn't like the recent Queen film, it did find it amusing that they cast Mike Meyers as a detractor claiming the song would never make it big.
9:59 the way you're leaning in to talk to him under the table 🤣 this is why I'm subscribed
Heck yes, these candid message moments with actors and musical artists is why I love watching Mr. video reactions!!!!
I can't stress enough just how popular this was. It started as a recurring skit on Saturday Night Live in the early 90s. I think there's actually one episode that features Madonna in lingerie seducing Wayne. Mike Myers was in another good but dark comedy around this time called So I Married An Axe Murderer. Pretty funny, but very early 90s.
I watch So I Married An Axe Murderer annually. One of my all time favs.
Party fime
EXCELLENT!
the snl version of wayne's world started in 1989.. the movie came out in 92 - back when comedy on snl was still worth a damn.
You would have to agree that knowing all of the musical references totally improved this movie. Another great video.
Oh dude. Wayne's World was like, my whole personality for about half a semester of high school when this came out, hahaha! I had the soundtrack (REALLY solid, plus it sparked my love for Queen), the official baseball cap, a t-shirt, a poster on my wall, the VHS. I think it was the first time I wore flannel shirts and Chucks. And all the unforgettable catchphrases! This was a Saturday Night Live skit turned into a movie, and they don't always work, but this one did. I'm so glad you enjoyed it! (Also I realize that back then, having a public access show was pretty much like having your own UA-cam channel today.)
I’m so glad you as a younger generation is appreciating these films.
Wayne’s World is a classic 90’s film.
Leo's a lot older than what most ppl think... lol
@@chapo0815 This is a late GenX cult classic, so he probably knows it via pop culture osmosis.
I've seen this movie about 150 times since I was 6 years old lol one of my fondest memories is loving this movie. It introduced me to Alice Cooper, Jimi Hendrix, Queen and I didn't even know it at the time lol
Such a classic, glad you watched it.
Ever since watching this while growing up, I now _cannot_ listen to Bohemian Rhapsody without headbanging!
Excelleeeent reaction, Leo! ♥
🤟
Me too! Bohemian Rhapsody & Waynes World belong together for me😂
At the time there was controversy about head-banging being dangerous, so Mike and Dana went out of their way to head-bang as hard as possible for every take.
Next day they got diagnosed with whiplash lol
God I love these movies. Just a straight classic movie. ❤❤❤
I've never clicked a reaction faster!!
@IT'S MR. VIDEO , I Love this Movie can't wait for your reaction on Wayne's World 2 . with lots more celebrity legends Schwing !!
Omg one of my favourite movies!! Please do So I Married An Axe Murderer! With the guy who plays Wayne it’s my favourite movie ever!! 🤠
I’ve quoted these lines for SO long that I almost forgot where some of them were from!
The suck-cut was based on a real product called the Flowbee. I used to see commercials for it all the time.
Mike Myers is a crack up in this movie. I saw it at the movies when I was in high school as well as the sequel the following year which I highly recommend watching. PS this movie started out as a sketch on Saturday night Live (just like the Blues Brothers)
The Grey Poupon thing is from an old TV ad.
The first time I saw this movie, I was literally on the floor almost choking from laughter when he held up the "He blows goats, I have proof" card!
Leo really feelin that Bohemian Rhapsody 😂🔥🔥🔥
As soon as I saw you reacted to this movie, I had to click on it. I KNEW you would appreciate the humor and music in it. I was not disappointed. You singing and dancing along with them to Queen was the best thing! Thanks for making this fun.
I just well back in September 8th 2023. I went to the freaks on parade tour that had rob zombie and alice cooper with 2 other guests and I always wanted to see alice since I was 11 years old I saw him in the tim burton movie dark shadows and 11 years later now that I am 22 I finally got the chance to see him in concert in the pit area but the last rows in the pit so I was kind of close and I cried my eyes out it was such a good concert it was amazing. So I thought my sister was going to get the meet and greet or the vip but we could only do the regular tickets but she got us in the pit area which was incredible I will never forget so If I get the chance to meet him I think I'll cry and maybe do the were not worthy performance to him.
I've been quoting this movie consistently for 31 years and counting. Literally every time we drive to Milwaukee lol Some day, I'll open a door to a room where people are being trained like in James Bond movies. ❤
1. Tia Carrera/Cassandra sang all of her songs, and she also has a Grammy for singing and voice over work.
2. It's weird seeing Rob Lowe as a heavy.
3. Brian Doyle Murry is Bill Murry's brother and has been in a ton of movie/tv including two of the Vacation movies.
4. Vincent Fournier/Alice Cooper is a historian, so he loved playing in this thing.
5. He is also a surprisingly good golfer and I've had the privilege of seeing him twice 😎😁
6. Who doesn't love Al Bundy/Ed O'Neil and Meatloaf?
7. Please re-upload Cheech & Chong, "Up in Smoke". 😎😎
..and the 'Foxy Lady' is Donna Dixon - Mrs Dan Ackroyd for 40 years although they separated last year.
The character of Wayne is so much like how I remember my dad acting/dressing growing up 😅 so great
7:00 I only recently found out this is a throwback to a really old advert for Grey Poupon
I thought you'd recognize Tiny that talks to Wayne and Garth at the Gasworks that is Meatloaf the Rock/Opera singer that you reacted to Leo. This movie has always been iconic.
Michael Myers (Wayne) was also in Bohemian Rhapsody as well and played Ray Foster. Kind of a spoiler, in the movie he said he didn't like the song and that "the kind of song teenagers can crank up the volume in their car and bang their heads to. And it’s too opera." which was in reference to that scene in the movie.
I hope you watch the sequel too. Love these movies. Amazing memories
Bro this is early 90s ESSENTIAL culture. Between the Wayne's World and Bill and Ted movies, my entire vernacular is exposed. Leo, do both Wayne's World movies and all 3 Bill and Ted films . you'll be rewarded immensely.
It is the law that you must start head banging at that exact moment of bohemian raphacity I think it's a constitutional admentment
SCHWING!!! Party on, excellent!!!
Yes, that was the Terminator. ✌️
I can’t tell you how many times someone has asked if I wanted any Chinese food and I’ve responded with “I’ll take the cream of Sum Yun Gai” lol
Great 90s comedy movie!!! Keep the Hits coming!!
I haven't seen that kind of mirth from a guy watching the bohemian rhapsody sequence since i was like 5. Thanks for that.
If you didn't know the guy who plays Wayne also plays Austin Powers and Sherk he's underrated asf
Wayne's World might be the most formative piece of media to my sense of humor and world view. I forget sometimes, and then I see something like this and remember how many phrases and little silly things worked their way into my life. Silly comedy perfection.
Yes Leo! My childhood! Please don’t stop and do Wayne World2 gotta check the Waynestock!!
This movie is classic! I must add knowing your love of stoner comedies with killer rock n roll sound tracks, you gotta do Detroit Rock City. I'm going to keep requesting until you do it 😂 much love Leo!
Fun fact the scene where Wayne and Garth are talking about Bugs Bunny and Mike Myers I believe it was improvised and that's a genuine laugh coming from him
Tia Carrera was a childhood heartthrob for me.
$5,000 in 1990 has the same purchasing power between $10968.96-11,508.80 today
This movie is HILARIOUS!! Dana Carvey aka Garth and Mike Meyers are great together. 😂
This was definitely a great choice. The 2nd one is funny too
Reppin the Eagles and Wayne's World! ❤ Hit em low ... Hit em high and party on! 🤣
Thank u so much!!!! You’re the best
Great to watch you get all the music refs after laughing n enjoying all ur past 'new' music vids... Good stage to watch thus great funny movie.
Dana Carvey aka Garth didnt know the lyrics to Bohemian Rhapsody, during the singing part he was just moving his mouth and just going with the flow.
thats really dana carvey playing that drum solo!
I got a copy of this on VHS and my friend was obsessed with it. He literally came over every day for the whole summer wanting to watch it.
Ha... i said i got it on dvd... but you reminded md now... i also had it on VHS... haha.
One of my all time fave comedies
Quick search says 5k back on early 90s is around 10k today. I say yes they were lowballed for a TV show.
Just like Ferris Bueller… Wayne was one of the first, speak to your audience “Influencers” while interacting and reacting to the World.
Seeing wayne and garth roll through my hood and the same exact places i bussed and walked to school everyday was so trippy back then as a kid, always thought i might see them : D
I wasn't ready for his reaction to Bohemian Rhapsody! lol
“I just opened up my mouth and out it came!”
Am I the only one who caught that joke?
Yes!!!! Yes yes yes!!!!
I’m not even waiting for the video to play. This is my absolute all time number 1 favourite movie! I’m so happy you checked it out!❤❤❤
Love this movie. Now you need to watch "Wayne's World 2".
Dana Carvy (Garth) really is a good musician. He uses music a lot in his stand up comedy shows.
That was the t-1000 cop yes, haha
From Alabama, but love The Eagles! Please watch Invincible! The story of Vince Papale who became an Eagle during open tryouts. Great! Starring Mark Walberg.
Hey Mr. V. Hope this finds u well. Congrats on ur Eagles. Such a great, fun classic. Sent Mike Myers soaring. Many great quotes from this one. One of my fav quotes was "I once thought I had mono for an entire year. It turned out I was just really bored." Thanx so much darlin. Party On, Peace
I don't know how old you are, but the Gray Poupon joke was a commercial in the late 80s about a very wealthy person pulling next to another wealthy person and asking "Do you have any gray poupon" in a very posh voice, giving the impression that high class people use the product.
RIP to the post credits and after credits scenes
the guy Tiny that was outside the club was Meatloaf
2:30 Yes! Best part of the reaction!
I forgot Ballroom Blitz was in this. You reacting to that song for the first time is one of my favorites. Your dance moves had me cracking up!
The Stairway to Heaven joke is that the song is too long for people to just be sampling in the guitar if they aren’t buying it. Keep up with the great videos dude. Enjoy watching your reactions man.
The Stairway joke is also that they only played the first few notes to Stairway in the original run of the movie. The joke is furthered due to song rights In the VHS, DVD and beyond it's whatever is on the screen and it's NOT Stairway.
"Hey Mr. Donut Head Man, who's trying to kill you? - I don't know but they better not! "
2:31 the MOST replayed part of a movie in my life!!! 5 year old me and current me still headbands when I hear this song
18:09 THIS is the best product placement and joke ever!
My dude! I can't believe you never watched this before. I have watched this movie more times than I can count and quote it all the time still lol
This is one of your best reactions dude. Loved watching this with ya. One of the best 90's comedies.
As a musician, I can testify that the "NO STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN" sign became a thing because of this movie in most guitar shops. GAME ON!
"If you're gonna spew, spew into this"
"Pull out his guts"🤣🤣🤣
Great reaction. Looks like you had lots of fun.
Bohemian rhapsody wasnt as renowned as it is today until this movie popularized it. This movie is Epic.
"... I'm in Delaware. 😐"
😂😂
ReMember seeing this this at the cinema loved it so much 😂
Comparatively, thats $5k is worth about $20k today. Decent for a beginer youtuber today
This is one of funniest movies that people my age, pretty much can throw out any phrase from. My life long friend, if she said "no way?" To me, i would instantly say "whaaaayyyy" & blow her mind that i still do that😂
That or the bill n ted reference
"Yes way Ted!!!!" As a 90s kid, both applied in regularity throughout my life, still to this day, take me back to the 90s pleeeeaaaaase
Oh thank you for this!!!
LOVE this movie!
Excellent programming choice, my friend. Party on!
You watching a classic my boy 💪🏽
I knew you'd love this movie, it fits your personality so well
About time you got to this. Nice one ❣❣
I haven't watched this movie since I was a teen in the 90s. I totally forgot that Ed O'Neil and Chris Farley were in this. Thanks for reacting to it. :)
Ed O'Neil (Al Bundy) being the only other person who can see and talk to the camera is so funny to me, especially when he launches into a macabre tangent. He is so fantastically dark 🤣🤣🤣
Also, Garth's Dream Woman is Dan Aykroyd's wife.
WHAT
@@IDieHardForever Donna Dixon 🥵
She and Dan are on screen together in Spies Like Us and Dr Detroit.
i like in the booth where they immediately start playing pilots with the equipment.

Yes! Can't wait to watch this.
I first got to watch Wayne's World and Wayne's World 2 about 10 years ago when I finally bought them on DVD.
I used to sleep with the DVD main menu on after the movie was over. The main menu was like an old satellite TV guide flipping through the channels and showing different scenes of the movie.
3:15 the best part is when Garth is lip singing "nothing really matters to meeee" and you can tell he doesn't know the words 😂😂😂😂
