Hello dear Simon . I would like to say thank you . I watch your math lessons and practice for 1 week and I passed my functional skills levels 2 exam by 100 percent score. You are the best 🌹🌹
Thank you brother for solving this paper 📃 it's nice that I am understanding and gaining something from this paper I hope I do best in my exam thanks for everything u did your best ❤ k Pap
They're asking for the perimeter. They want you to work out the cost of the fixing strips and right at the start of the question it says, '...fixing strips to hold the carpet all around the edges of this floor.' So the area isn't important, but the distance around the space is because we need to have edging strips there. Hope that helps to clarify.
Hi Simon thanks for this job . But I am confused about Q11 the coat is reduced to 70% of his price means customer will pay only 30%of the price which is £13.50 ???? But you did it differently
The timetable is for Sunday and used for the first part of the question. But it says, 'Your boss will travel back on Monday ', so off-peak isn't possible.
@@SimonHTT It's Maths level 1 unfortunately I don't know what number question it is but that was one of the questions that appeared in my maths assessment last October unfortunately I didn't quite understand it
@@mrhammadmossop1988ul-haq It's quite difficult to find actual past papers for City & Guilds, the closest thing available are the 4 sample papers. You could try going through all of those (either via the C&G website or on this UA-cam channel) and see if you find anything similar to your question.
The coat is reduced 'to' 70%, which is £31.50, so £30 is not enough. If the question said reduce 'by' 70% then you would need to take it away from £45. Hope I've understood your question correctly.
You certainly can. There isn't much that's new in L2, it's mainly the same topics but taken to the next level. It's also a good way to practice how to lay out your working and answers.
Look in the details at the bottom of this video for the link. Then click on Assessment materials and you'll find them all there (C&G). Look in my functional skills Level 1 playlist to find videos of those papers as well as this one.\ as well as some Pearson/Edexcel papers.
That's probably a nicer answer than mine but because no specific format has been requested you can give 6.5 mins, 6 mins 30 secs, 6 1/2 mins or any other equivalent answer. I even double checked the mark scheme to be sure!
That's a real shame. Try to get feedback so you know how far away you were and also which topics you need to concentrate on. That will help you know where to focus before trying again.
I've got exam in 2 weeks I'm studying thr topics and wa5ching the videos I hope I pass I DOUNT UNDERSTAND QUECTIONS LIKE 18.465÷1000 CAN YOU HELP ME 😔 THIS FORM HOW TO SOLVE IT
Hi@@nasreenakhtar7591, when multiplying or dividing by 10, 100, 1000 note that the actual numbers don't change, instead you're moving the decimal point. If multiplying, the number is getting bigger so you move the decimal point to the right, if dividing you move the decimal point to the left to make the number smaller. And the number of zeroes (10, 100, 1000) tells you how many times to move the decimal point. If the starting number doesn't have a decimal point then it's just 'hiding' after the last digit. If moving the decimal point to where there isn't a number then insert a zero to fill the gap. For example, 8 x 10 = 80, 8 x 100 = 800, 0.5 x 10 = 50, 18.465 x 100 = 1846.5 8 ÷ 10 = 0.8 8 ÷ 100 = 0.08 0.5 ÷ 10 = 0.05 18.465 ÷ 100 = 0.18465 18.465 ÷ 1000 = 0.018465 (1000 has 3 zeroes, so move decimal point 3 places, and it is divide, so we move the decimal point to the left to make the answer smaller) It's a bit of a wordy explanation but hopefully useful.

at 40.48 why did you work the primiter not the area

The wording is really important. Reduced 'to' 70% means they have to pay 70%. If it said reduced 'by' 70% then they would only have to pay 30%.
@@SimonHTT this absolutely very convincing thank you so much you are really the best .
Hello I was wondering whether you are able to help me please?
Have you done sample 5
Unfortunately that paper is not publicly available on the C&G website. As soon as it is I'll upload the paper.
Thanks allot!
