You are a wonderful teacher
I have an exam next month you have been a life saver!!!
Hi, i am new here. Could anyone tell me with whom should i book In for Functional skills Maths exam? Website or any link?
Sorry I can't help with this one, but someone else might be able to help. You could try your local adult education college, but they may require you to complete a course with them first, which might not be what you want.
@@SimonHTT yes! I’ve revised my maths syllabus at home 🏠 just wanted to book in for assessment to get certificate. BTW thanks a lot for ur reply.

Thanks so much, you are the best teacher . I was on the way to give up on Mathematics
Hey. I got two questions.
1. When you’re having an maths exam, does the past paper have the same questions or different questions?
2. What do you do if you’re feeling overwhelmed or stressed by maths exams, and how do you prepare for it?
Hi.
1. It's unlikely you will get exactly the same questions again, but they might be similar. That's why when practising it's good to consider how the question could be asked differently and whether that would change how you plan your answer.
2. The more you prepare, the more confident you should feel. However, it's unlikely you'll get rid of the feeling completely so practice some techniques. It might be by focusing on your breathing before and when you sit down for the exam. Plan what you're going to take for the exam, maybe even wear, the day before, so you have fewer things to think about on the day. You could try replicating some of the exam conditions on the day. Give yourself time targets for practice papers or questions. Maybe go to a library or somewhere outside your home to get used to doing some timed work in a less comfortable place than your home. People sometimes say the exam invigilators aren't very friendly, if so, it's just because they're taking what they do seriously and are making sure they treat everyone fairly. So don't take things like that personally, they're just trying to be professional.
Thank you
Thank you so much
Your videos are fully explanaed I have rebooted my exam in October so hope I pass this time

Hello Thankyou Mr Simon for explaining briefly, l have exams next month two weeks from now and hope l will pass because that was understandable, l ain't lying. Sir, you are a very teacher. You know how to teach someone. Could you please make videos edexcel functional skills maths level 1 in 20 , 21 , 22 ? We are always learning old maths. Thanks a lot for your nice teaching. Keep teaching us. May Allah bless you!
Hi. I've made videos for all the Edexcel papers that are publicly available, those are Practice papers 1-3, Past Papers 1-4 and the sample paper. You can find them all in the playlists. If that's still not enough you can try some of the other exam boards, C&G is probably the most similar to Edexcel.
Thank you
Sir
Very helpful and understandable
Thank you so much. I really understood 🙌🏾🙏🏾✨
Thank you helpful
200÷2.5 why you didn't say 2000÷25 we need to multiply for 10 not only in one part. What you think?
You can do it that way, I just thought it might be confusing by multiplying both by 10, so I got rid of the decimal then added a zero at the end to make up for it. Either way is fine, you should still get the same answer.
thank you for this vedio It’s help me a lot
Excellent
👍👍👍
Very good but just slow down a bit
Apologies, I'll try. But you can always pause and rewind me.
i have a question on 2 how does arron need to pay more if its over does he have to pay if its even the exact nuber??
Arron wouldn't need to pay if it is the same number, but however you round the numbers you're always going to get a weight more than 2500kg. So, he will have to pay.
Good video thank you
Are these all questions of non calculator or mixed
It's a full past paper. So it starts off with the non-calculator section then the calculator section starts from 13:21.
I sat this paper as a mock and the answers I got was similar and close to this but I didn’t get full marks ?
The mark scheme is very precise on what you have to do get full marks. So for example, if you put £7.3 for an answer when it should be £7.30 then you may lose a mark. You could try looking at the mark scheme but they're not the easiest to understand, especially if you're not used to looking at them.
Please sir how do I get this past paper work
If you look in the notes beneath each video I put a link to the original papers. Hope that helps.
Hi Simon i just wanted to let you know how much marks you need to pass Functional Skills Level 1
It depend on the exam board but usually about 55% - 60% for Edexcel.
@@SimonHTT oh cool
