hi Simon, question 2 clearly states "approximately" so I estimated and did 20,000 over 30,000 and came up with 2/3 as the answer which is different from what you did. Am I wrong? please enlight me. thank you
Perfect 👍
Thanks a lot
Good video ❤
💐🌹💐👌👌👌
Great video!..could I please ask how you find a percentage on a calculator? Thank you
Best to do it with an example. Calculate 23% of 167.
If you have a scientific calculator you can type it all in one go,
23 ÷ 100 x 167
In case you are using a simple calculator you will need to split it up.
23 ÷ 100 =
Once you have your answer (0.23) you can type the next bit,
x 167 =
By doing it this way you are first turning the percentage into a decimal before multiplying it by the amount. For both options you should get a final answer of 38.41.
@@SimonHTT Helpful information
@@SimonHTT can you Please do sample 5
@@senihome6127 I've had a few requests for this but unfortunately the paper has not been made available to the public yet. When it has I'll upload a video. In the meantime you might want to take a look at the Edexcel papers for a bit of variety.
@@SimonHTT Thank you Simon. I appreciate what you did. 👍
Where did you get 24? And how do we distinguish from other shape?
Which question are you referring to?

Sir I do not how many number in Total how many section will in my exam
If you are with City & Guilds L1 you have 2 sections. Non calculator comes first, 25 minutes and 15 marks in total. Then you will go straight to the calculator section which is 1 hour and 20 minutes and has 45 marks. The format will be very similar to these sample papers.
@@SimonHTT could you tell me plz how to study at home as I do wanna go to college until I pass level 1 I want to give exam online
@@irshanaseer4176 There's a book I've recommended a few times before. Maths, The Basics (Haighton, Holder and Thomas). It's really good at starting from Entry Level 3 and working up through a topic to L1 and L2. Functional skills maths exams can be quite wordy, so lots of practice understanding what is required before you even start a question is very important.
Paper 5 please
Unfortunately the paper is not publicly available so I'm not comfortable putting it on my channel. Hopefully this will change and then I will include it.
Where can I get paper 5?
@@patriciaagostinho6639 Unfortunately it's password protected on their website so only 1 - 4 are available. Hopefully they'll change that at some point and then I'll also be able to post a video of it.
