Nice tear down and assembly video. This may come in handy one day as my mom gave us this model vacuum recently. I would like to share a tip for working with thread cutting screws in plastic parts I received from a former Maytag engineer. When reinstalling, insert screw and rotate counter clockwise until you feel the screw “drop” into the existing thread then proceed to turn clockwise to tighten. This prevents cross cutting new threads into the holes, stripping or splitting the bosses. This method will also allow for multiple disassembly and assembly attempts. I use this method every time and I’ve had some devices apart many times and can still snug up the screws.
I used to have one of these. Once I was out of bags so I took the bag dock off and was able to use a HepaFlo bag. It's a snug fit. .I eventually put a Y bag back in it but I was in a jam and it worked like a charm. Y bags are becoming scarce in Toledo when vac shops are closed.
@@PerformanceReviews yes sir. I could only get them through a vac shop. There aren't many places that sell bags here in Toledo OH, and the bags you do find at Lowes etc are worthless. I switched to a Sebo but I still use the Hoover in the field and I also buy the Y bags on Amazon now.
I absolutely love this vacuum cleaner. My release pressure foot came loose so my hubby took it to the local Vac sales an repair and was told that I need to buy a new one. I know better. I know this video is 2yrs old but if anyone can help please reply! Thanks
We've used the UH30310 (very similar to the UH30300) for years. The arrangement of the internal parts is slightly different from the model in the video. Otherwise, they seem very much the same.
FYI this Hoover Windtunnel Max was also sold as the Royal ProSeries, the only differences being color and the fact that the Hoover was assembled in China while the Royal was assembled in the USA.
Hi, I'm trying to repair one of these for my mother. It won't adjust up and down using the white knob to set how close it is to the floor. I took apart and it looks to me like the white plastic piece that the knob cam should actuate is broken. Any idea what the part number for this might be? Or where I can look at exploded view? Thanks for any help. Steve
Link the description to replace the whole vacuum. I don't think it's personally worth doing a motor. But if you could find a motor replace as a whole sembly. 98% of vacuums should not have their carbon brushes replaced do to other parts designed to wear on the motor.
I would have liked to have seen "The front and center" roller & belt assembly!! That was the whole purpose I watched this and wasted 30 min of my life! DS!

I needed to rewire my 30601 and this made it very easy to figure out in reverse. Thank you so much!

That's interesting to know yet another machine a Henry bag can fit on. I usually get my bags from eBay or Amazon. Are they scarce there too for you?

Great video I’m cleaning my vacuum right now, thanks again
For being a budget machine and a tti hoover its more serviceable then I thought. Pat on the back on them.
Is there a Hoover
That was excellent. Thank you very much. Made repairing mine much easier!
TTI Hoovers aren't bad honestly!
Anyway to fix the brush stopper? When pressing the button or locking it upright the brushes will continue to spin.

What's the main difference between this vacuum and the Hoover T-Series WindTunnel Bagged vacuum (UH30300,). Thanks for the video.

Does anyone know If u can replace the bulb with a led so it's brighter?
You sure can it's a standard size bulb I believe this one happens to be 12 volts for some reason.
Thanks
The funny thing is that theclear plastics have a purple tint to and glass has a blue or green tint to it
My wife says ours went pop and now it doesn't turn on....any clue what it could be?
Is it possible that I can use carbon brushes from a hoover elite 6.7 amp on a motor from a WindTunnel or will it blew up the motor in the WindTunnel?
You need to change the motor if the carbon brushes have worn out. The bearings in this motor would have worn out as well.
Performance Reviews Because few of the websites no longer have any in stock. Vacuumedic sold out of them Last year I bought 2 pair of them
Performance Reviews So if I use the carbon brushes from a hoover elite and put them in motor from a WindTunnel it will burn huh?
Performance Reviews Also I noticed that motors have different highlighted colors around the ring what’s that about?

Dude you skipped putting the belt on...
Hmm, your review must have been successful because now on Amazon this vacuum is no longer $159.99 but $179.99, and temporarily out of stock 😂
I just ordered one for 90$
@@JohnSmithNE3478 How?? I just got mine for $149.99, which is still not bad.
