LYRICS:
Some Things Never Change Gavin Dunne 2016
Withered wood and cracks in concrete faded
Lonely old leviathans corrode
Labyrinth of lights and life degraded
Vivid highways slump to riven roads
And ever and on we go
Never to learn or grow
Pillars of peace estranged
I guess some things never change
We fall, we fall again
Stare through empty window panes
We fall, we fall again
I guess some things never change...
Sterile soil will harden
Wasted world my garden
Beacons of the past on each horizon
Weary feet tread stories in the dust
Havens hard, no steel can crack the diamonds
Hope among the ruin and the rust
And ever and on we run
Purest of rains they come
Pillars of peace estranged
I guess some things never change
We fall, we fall again
Stare through empty window panes
We fall, we fall again
I guess some things never change...
Sterile soil will harden
Wasted world my garden
Never fail to get goosebumps from a Miracle of Sound song.
+JT Machinima My favorite artist is listening to my other favorite artist, my mind is blown.
JT Machinima I never thought I would see you here
JT Music when are we getting a collaboration???
Goosebumps? I Think its warming.
My favorite artists are here..while I listening to a great song.............god I need to stop drinking
This actually does a better job of portraying the weight and reality of what has happened to the world in game better than the game ever does. Between constantly searching for better gear, exploring vaults, trying to survive and helping another GOD DAMN SETTLEMENT, it's easy to forget just how much the world was devastated, and the importance of holding onto hope and learning from the past for a better future.
Another settlement needs your help. Here I'll mark it on your map.
@@zaiahbug982 yeah sure, I'll get right onto that. Maybe. Eventually....
Oh look, here's a school with pink food paste to explore.

SOLE SURVIVOR: Here, I‘ll mark it on your grave.
The best story I read that portrayed this in such a strong way was the book of Metro 2033. When Artyom sees for the first time the vastness of the world and can't even comprehend how it worked, imaging planes as if they were some godly machines. It hit so hard to think that there is so much to lose.
I like the other Fallout songs, but this one is definitely the best. This one is on a completely different level. It captures the spirit of the whole franchise so well. Basically, this song is Fallout.
I don't know man, that new vegas song was pretty great
Somehow, you made a song that sounds emptied of glory, yet still full of life.
I don't know how, but you have perfectly emulated the setting of Fallout.
"Emptied of glory, yet still full of life."
Dude that is shockingly poetic to find on UA-cam comments.
@@Aethrin you just replied to a 4 year old comment

This song ages like fine wine. Every year it feels more prescient. Every news cycle feels like another step toward this cautionary tale becoming reality.
Agreed, albeit, we are trying to wean off of fossil fuels, which was one of the main reasons for the resource wars, which preceded the sino-american war and the great war
@@virmirfan Trying, yes. Thing is, all that I see happening is trading one contested resource (petroleum) for another. (Whatever goes into electric power storage systems.) Thus ending up right back at square one. Maybe even square zero if we are careless.
@@thomasbernier2489 True, but as long as we keep developing renewable energy, we as a species can hopefully avoid the nuclear exchange, unless North and South Korea have open war again.
@@virmirfan Or any one of the other powder keg areas doesn't go up like a roman candle. We can hope. We can cultivate understanding between peoples as best we can. Renewables are a step in the right direction, but I doubt they are enough alone. No one wins in a nuclear exchange. It is said that in such an event, the living will envy the dead.
See, the thing Bethesda brought to Fallout, that I don't feel in the older games, is a sense of atmosphere and wonder. This song perfectly captures that feeling. Great work Gavin.
+Craig Tierney Yeah. That atmospheric feeling is the reason Fallout 3 is my favorite game of all time :)
+miracleofsound Yeah the atmosphere of dark and "you're doomed" and also everything is out to kill you. Love it.
+Sauron The Dark Lord Now i haven't played the new Fallout, but if a dark "you're doomed" post-apocalypse atmosphere is what you want, I strongly recommend Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light.
Fallout 3 and New Vegas (and 4, I guess,) had a sense of beauty and wonder. The soundtrack helped, being almost mystical and ethereal. The originals do not have this vibe - a bit of a mythological vibe, maybe, but it doesn't have the "beauty of the dying world" feeling.
My parents didn't sign my permission slip for this feels trip.
I forged mine

You got slips?
You got parents?

Sometimes it's the worst moments in life that sees me back here. Strangely, that's when I really see; these songs are about more than gaming. You draw us in with your fancy thumbnails relating to this franchise or that game title, and instead teach us the ways of faith, perseverance, and hope in one's self. You're musics strangely relatable, and catchy enough for nearly anyone to remember it's lyrics--lyrics that'll keep resurfacing through thick and thin.
Hope is something that people truly need, and this is one of its purest forms of delivery. Thanks for sharing. ~
Re-watching this video reminds me that even though Bethesda may not have made the greatest quests or the most branching speech trees in this game, they crafted one heck of a world. Makes me want to get back out there and explore more of the Commonwealth.
Agreed, they aren't the best at quests, but the story they make, will always be memorable
is the "purest of rains they come" a callback to "someday the rains will come and wash it all away"?
+Mitchell Bloom Yes it is. Good catch ;)
I didn't even catch that one and I listen to Wasteland Soul almost everyday!! I'm impressed.
+miracleofsound I love all the little shoutouts to previous songs!
+Will M It's a common trend in his songs, you can also hear it in most of his AC songs, the Far Cry songs, the GTA songs and probably a few more I don't remember.
Papa Jons I know, I've listened to his entire discography. I love the shoutouts in certain songs
The chord progression and melody in the chorus make this sound so much like an Aviators song
It sure does
Sometimes it is truly comforting to know that we have fallen before. If we could pick ourselves up then, hell if we can't do it ever and on again.
Jesus, I've never seen Fallout this way. So emotional. So perfect. I've been a fan of the franchise for so long now, and it astonishes me I've never really seen fallout the way this guy portrays it, truly beautiful and terrifying. Fucking amazing, an enchanting song.
"And ever and on we go, never to learn or grow. I guess somethings never change. We fall, we fall again."
After hearing your voice on jimquisition for the past 6 months I finally checked out your music, was not expecting this at all, genuinely moved and emotionally affected by this song, you have a new fan, amazing
+james Welcome along :)
james Welcome to the family

Steve first song I heard was black flag as my cousin showed me the 1hour version and after some digging I found the normal version and this channel
Hahahaha nice one :D
War....War never changes.
+Jman LPGuy Or does it?
War has changed.
War never changes
+Golden Bird Solid Snake and the Fallout Narrator, eternal enemies doomed to forever argue about whether war has changed or not.
+Jman LPGuy
Speaking of war, another settlement needs your help. I'll mark it on your map.
Crimson Blade I was actually referring to the narrator of Duty Calls but whatever xD
Such a haunting tune - very in keeping with the bleak-yet-beautiful Commonwealth.
This is an excellent song about the wasteland. It makes me really want a Fallout spin off game that's not about exploring the wasteland and killing everything that moves, but one about rebuilding civilization, promoting peace and healing the world. Why are so many people hellbent on ruling the wasteland when they should be putting things right? We need a game about that; a group of people hellbent on fixing the world, or at least improving it.
Yeah, but I'm talking about an entire game built around that concept. Think something like Civ 5 but around rebuilding the wasteland.
It'd just be a spin off game, but it could be fun.
I sorta have a bad feeling about that one. Don't know why
+David S. (Fallenangel700) Because Chris Avellone, that's why. He's been on record as saying that he hates anything that might push the setting beyond a static "Post-Apocalyptic Survival amongst the Ruins" setting, and has even been noted as saying that he wishes he could utterly destroy the NCR, to send everything back to that state of stasis.
+David S. (Fallenangel700) not only in game, we need people for fixing our world....
+David S. (Fallenangel700) well, in like seven years (or longer as i'm shit at estimating project times especially with mutiple ones in the works) You can look for a game called Ombrophobia. I plan to make a game like fallout but, as you suggested, about rebuilding. Of course there's combat, even in a perfect apocalypse you've got to defend yourself. and one of the three main story lines is based around rebuilding rather than revenge. (sorry about the advertising for something so far off, its just i'm really excited to share my ideas)
Okay, this is some serious talent hiding behind those lyrics and voice.
I've never seen the Commonwealth this way : a wasted world, another proof of human's most powerful light and darkness. And goddammit, that's huge.
Thank you, seriously.
+Perrine Maurel Thanks :) It's my favorite part of the Fallout games, that feeling
+miracleofsound Beauty Bleak was one of my favorite songs and you knew damn well the kind of chills we'd get when you made that reference.
+Perrine Maurel It's amazing how great the world looks when Preston isn't pestering you about outposts.
deray bell I remember one time an outpost got raided and the kid living there was gone. Instead of thinking "Holy shit, a kid died? That's horrible!" I thought "That raider is lucky. I wish I could've put an end to that shitbag ankle-biter."
Random Guy Tends to happen when kids are annoying in fallout.
"Some Things Never Change"
Such as the amazing effort and quality that's put into these songs.
Thank you, Gav, for another beautiful piece of music.
Gavin, I love how you made a callback to Beauty Bleak. So perfect!
Agreed
+findthefish14 I KNEW it sounded familiar.
+findthefish14 And to Wasteland Soul too.
+findthefish14 Nicely spotted ;)
miracleofsound thanks! :D
This one goes up to eleven! I love the songs that tie thematically to older songs. This one to Beauty Bleak, but the Little Sister/ Dream of the Sky/Goodbye -trilogy are also masterpieces enhanced by each other. Great work!
Someday, i will write an essay on the themes and musical theories interwoven in the callbacks and reinterpretations without jeopardizing the uniqueness of each song on its own in the bioshock trilogy.
I look forward to him doing it again.
+Christopher Neumann Ruud And the Assassins Creed songs with "Crimson Rivers".
So thankful my kids showed me your music a few years ago, top notch man, this should be the song for the TV Show.
No dumbass this song is for the soul survivor from fallout 4. The literal back tag to that game with welcome home. Play the damn game.
The beginning of the song immediately made me think of Beauty Bleak, and then the callback just gave me all the chills.
Excellent work as usual, Gavin!
It's weird, those fly-through shots do a better job of showcasing the world than the game does itself. Like, when you're walking around, the game is focusing you on the space directly in front of you and below you looking for junk or enemies; you rarely get a sense for how the world is laid out. This captures both the 'physical' composition of Fallout's world and the kind of feeling they were going for, the whole 'pushing through despite everything in a dead world barely holding itself together' vibe. Very nice
+Jack Yes! It was actually only when I went into free cam mode and got more vertical that I noticed some of the really clever details in how the world is built - for example the shattered highway behind the crashed jet, or the way buildings lean away from the glowing sea in the direction of the blast
+miracleofsound Speaking of the crater....did you notice how the explosion appears farther to the left (visually speaking) than the actual bomb crater's location?
+Jack and doing a pretty bad job at pushing through. with the state of the wasteland, in 100 years it all would've been habitable again, but i guess you already know taht
+Jack To rememdy that, try a playthrough without Fast Travel, it helps a lot to realise the scale of the world.
+miracleofsound The same could be said for Skyrim, but at least that game looked amazing back in 2011/2012 on the ground as well.
4:43 thats a nice settlement you got there.
it would be a shame if it needs some help...
Humanity is meant to fall because we lack the wings to soar. So we survive the fall, we pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and try to climb again. Until one day when we fall we can spread our wings and fly.
@Fierce Wendigo Only Cowards and fools refuse to climb and fall, in the end waiting for death to send us to the heavens brings nothing but stagnation and ignorance.
Just gotta send it all the way dude, give it 150%
@@KnightofLightfire dayum, I guess that's a way to put it, hahah.
THIS should be the song played during the credits. I mean just listen to that music...genius man. keep the tracks coming.
war... war never changes... men do, through the roads they walk...
New Vegas reference?
and this road is at it's end... courier
Gavin, you are absolutely amazing. i love all of your music and i often just listen to some of your songs on repeat over and over and over again. I just want you to know how awesome you are and keep up the awesome work on these amazing songs. :)
+M Garvue Thank you
Wow, you nailed the Fallout 4 feel with this, perhaps more than the original music
Damn, way to make me feel sad for our future miracle, cheers none the less for the song
A slow, whimsical start to what I can only describe as Beauty Bleak v2.0, with a rythm and motif very Fallout-esque (the general feel, not the actual gameplay). You outdid yourself again, Gav... you really did.
Those lyrics... damn, I´ve had the shittiest of weeks, my stomach churning and heart feeling like its going to burst... and then I hear "And ever and on we go" and "I guess some things never change", along with "We fall, we fall again"... those hit hard, really hard. I guess I hadnt really prepared for them.
But along came Beauty Bleak, and I couldnt help sing along as I cried the best sad tears I´ve probably had in years... and those tears only dared come out with this magnificent song.
So... thanks, Gav. I really mean it... thanks for everything.
+Crazy Spanish Guy Hope you get better soon, Crazy Spanish Guy.
Your next weeks can only get better
+Crazy Spanish Guy That's how I'd describe it. I was getting a bit of feeling of the actual intro from Fallout 4 in the beginning, then the Beauty Bleak hit me.
+Crazy Spanish Guy Thank you, I'm glad you were moved by it. I hope next week is better for you :)
miracleofsound The way you seem to care for you fans is so inspiring.
I hope to be able to make music one day, and if I ever get to have any fans at all, I'll be sure to treat them like you do.
this whole song made me think about a moment from metro 2033 where the dark ones show you a vision of a mushroom cloud off in distance and you also see men, women and children cowering in terror and you hear terrified screaming. and then you hear one of the dark ones say in a disappointed tone of voice. "they never change" and really as history drags onwards that statement grows ever more true.
After the ending of Rogue One and FFXV I had an urge to listen to this song on repeat. So so good.
Tragedy and bittersweet conclusions have a way of doing that, I suppose.
Wow Amazing
This is the song I listen to while I work on the Fallout New Ronto :D very inspirational
Just getting back into the series. This song captures the feel of Fallout so well. It reminds me of Music for a forgotten future by Mogwai
Some things never change. Like, that settlement still needs your help! Here, I mark it on your map, babe.
Man... The beauty you can witness in a wasteland. What nature can do business with the destroyed world we might have. It's just... Pure beauty... Sometimes I just take a minute while playing and take a gander at this world's beauty. Even though it's destroyed... Awesome song!
I was searching for a bloodborne let's play and ended up seeing miracleofsound's song on the game and decided to listen to it. That was around 11:30 p.m. Since then, I have been going on a miracleofsound binge listening to each song multiple times. I have barely even made a dent in the amount of songs that I can listen to, but it's already 1:40 a.m. ...
Ironically listening to this song after 6 years adds to the feeling and beauty of it. Fallout series is a shadow of former self, our world completely changed through those years and we haven't learned much as species. Weird type of "nostalgia". Never to learn or grow, ever and on we go, leaving those beacons of past on the horizon. I guess I just wanted to say that... Well, it was one hell of a ride and thank you. It's just surreal to return.
Usually an artist's songs has a pattern. Some focus on romantic songs, like Celine Dion. Then there are others focus on heavy metal, like Disturbed. Then there's gothic songs like Evanescence.
I can't find that pattern from you, Gav. First it's Celtic. Then it's Metal. Then atmospheric. Then chillout.
It's like you're bleeding creativity out every part of your spirit bro.
Poignant. Manly tears were shed.
Miracle of Sound - making songs better than the games they are about since 2011.
but fallout was good, like, pretty good, I don't know why some people are saying he wasn't
+Henrique Chagas For a Fallout game it disappointed majorly in some areas. Story, characters, and the game's rpg elements were all crap. Sure, the gameplay, atmosphere, factions (and their choices), morals were all amazing but Bethesda really needs to make their stories and characters better. Also, stop streamlining Fallout.
***** think about skyrim, does it have a nice story either?
Henrique Chagas no. while i love bethesda im not afraid to admit that they aren't exactly good at writing stories or characters. they are only good at gameplay, atmosphere, world building and music (which they do incredibly well, like i really mean INCREDIBLY)
Out of curiosity - how does my original comment state, that the game is bad? All I said is that Gavin's songs are better. This one for example is fucking glorious - which is something few people would say about the game. That doesn't mean that the game is bad though, does it?
Wow! Amazing song. This should be the opening theme of Amazon’s Fallout tv show.
Nah they do sanctuary hill
The opening when you reach sanctuary the familiar note of the ink spots
Perfect atmosphere... It's sad but kind of beautiful. exactly the reason why i love fallout.
While the Mojave Song leaned heavily upon the narrative of the game, this one seems to be an atmosphere song, like a song about fallout in general rather than 4 in particular.
I think that sums up the problems I had with 4 quite nicely, thank you sir.
I guess some things never change, like Gav and his amazing singing
Amazing tribute to Fallout 4. The experience of being sucked into this beautiful wasteland can be felt through this song. Hope this is the start of yet another successful year for Miracleofsound!
I love it when you incorporate past songs into your new ones. Assuming your past songs are good. Which they are!
It reminds me of Bjork, making songs that she considered sequels to her other songs.
"I guess some things never change."
I imagine this phrase being spoken by a Sole Survivor, memories still fresh, through clenched teeth, tears and raw bitterness. Gods, such bitter hatred for the world. So much that is makes more educated companions like Preston, Piper, Deacon and Dance wince.
I'm going to play this on repeat 24/7 for the next three weeks.
Me too!! :-D
Yes! I love this type of song. Haunting and beautiful. Great job as always!
Could someone make a mod that replaces menu and credit music with this? It would be bloody awesome!
"Sterile soil will harden, wasted world my garden" Oh my God, Beauty Bleak is still one of my favorite songs of yours.
Just discovered this song on TB's channel on his stream. Honestly that's the first time I've heard it, and I wont lie, you are the first musician in a very long time that I am 100% behind and proud to be supporting. Keep them coming my friend!
Your music constantly reminds me that these franchises are complete masterpieces!
The Elder Scrolls
Fallout
The Witcher
Three franchises that have grown to become the pinnacle of open world games. No matter how many publishers try to flood the market with stale as hell open world games, they will never live up to the greatness that these franchises created. Oblivion, Skyrim, Fallout 3, Fallout 4, and The Witcher III are all on my favorite games of all time list and games that I still play extensively today. Whenever I feel burnt out on gaming I pop in one of these and it reinvigorates my love for this hobby once again!
3 words: a masterpiece, beautiful
Gav, I've been listening to your music since Mass Effect, and I love all of it, but this song is definitely one of your best. 10/10. and like you said on your vlog, quality over quantity! gratitude from the US.
To me it seems the soundtrack of the game itself served as a source of inspiration for this song in addition the games visuals and your previous work "Beauty Bleak".
It would not surprise me at all if that was the case, since I think that Fallout 4 has out of all the Fallout games the best non radio soundtrack by far.
It is actually so good that I do not even want to listen to the radio anymore.
WHAT HELL NO?! Did you even lissen to the soundtrack of 1&2?!
+Bobistdeinemuda Yeah, it was catchy and gave that sort of depressed, forgotten past feeling, but never packed as much of a punch as Fallout 4.
SharkTurd11 Exactly.
+Bobistdeinemuda Yes I have and while they are quite good in their own right, most of it is simply not as good as the music in Fallout 4.
Of course there is no way to truly objectively judge the quality and entertainment value of music which means that if you prefer the soundtrack of the earlier titles then that is most certainly a completely valid opinion.
+The God Emperor Skyrim had a way better soundtrack.
1:30 is my favourite part, absolutely brilliant
Some things never change.
Bethesda's engine will never change.
boy you must be feeling a bit silly because you know creation 2 for starfield
Excellent song, though with the desolation that is shown in the video makes me think that this may have been better for 3 that 4, seeing as 4 really doesn't have desolation like 3 or even New Vegas. Great work MiracleOfSound.
Also, great settlements you have in the background. Far better than what I could make.
After actually playing the game this song gives me chills. Holy hell.
Same :'O
Just wanted to comment again and say that my mother loves this track. She listens to it almost nightly. She wanted me to say that this video (music and all) is sublime. "High Art."
"It transcends beauty and ugly. It gets into something that resonates within, that is bigger than everything."
So, thank you so much for this piece. Extraordinarily powerful.
Your mom GETS IT 👌
By Atom! I.... I.. I'm speechless this represented all I feel when exploring the wastes, reminds me of the sacrifice of James and his son, the nuclear vendetta of Ulysses, the Tale of the Courier, Desmond's pent-up anger toward his old political enemy, and the tragic life of The Sole Survivor, first watching his world burn in nuclear fire, being frozen for 200 years watching his wife die and his son taken away, coming out after 200 years in a wasteland, a mere shade of what his world, once was to search for his lost son, only to find out that things in this new reality are never going to be the same. I shed a tear when I heard this, this song captures it all, and I Thank You, Miracle of Sound, you always live up to your name!
Fuck, it sounds like how it felt the first time you stepped out of the vault in Fallout 3, sweeping, grand.
I don't know how you are capable of creating this, christ fuck Gav all I can say is thanks for doing this.
That's nothing against the feel in Fallout 1
+Jasper West Thank you :) I created it with lots of discipline & practice :)
This is depressing and dreary, and simultaneously hopeful and bright. Amazing. You totally nailed the themes of Fallout.
Masterpiece as amazing one, so immersive to the Fallout world. My favorite one, with out any doubt and it's for sure. You really do the MASTERPIECE work!
+Vladimir Tabolin Thank you :)
After the new update released, I went back to playing Fallout 4 again. This game still passes the vibe check and I *love* it! I honestly haven’t played this in a while and for once in my life, I’m actually enjoying it and looking back at these old videos gives me a big sense of nostalgia. This song was my favorite to listen to while I ventured through the dead wasteland and abandoned ruins of a fallen country, a truly beautiful and down to earth feeling. ❤
This song gives me chills.
Its not always clear how beautiful Fallout 4 really is, until you get some well done over view shots of the landscape. It truly is scenic but devastating.
This makes me not want to set the world on fire
Gah, I've listened to ALL your songs. And this is the first time I've cried - and I haven't even bought the game yet.
The tears, they flow.
Chilling.
Absolutely perfect. I love it.
When it got to the "sterile soil" refrain...literal chills
Excellent as always :-)
could really feel the emotion with this song. you paced it really well
I love how he works in the sounds of his previous song into this one, he does that with every series. I love it every time.
Thanks for another wonderful song, it always makes my day to see another one of your works. The sound of your voice is like sweet nectar for the ears.
Your music is addictive, i can't get enough of it. The passion and the depth that your songs transmit is simply amazing.
2019 and this song still gives goosebumps
Whenever I listen to this song, I'm reminded of a quote by Kratos.
"War are fought for two things . . . survival, or advantage."
That shot of the Prydwen next to a ruined tank... fits the line perfectly.
"Some things never change". Humanity is still making huge machines of war.
When the line from "Beauty Bleak" came in... Oh god it gave me chills. Wonderful song Gav, great way to start off the new year.
Miracle of Sound, Miracle of Sound never changes. The feelings change, their presence does not. Through all the fans views and favorites, the feels remain genuine. Miracle of Sound never changes. -Not Ron Perlman
Flipping amazing, mate. I always love it when you do callbacks to older songs - nice bit of nostalgia. Excellent work, will buy as soon as I can.
That callback to Beauty Bleak gave me goosebumps
I don't like the game, but I love how this song encapsulates all its themes and atmosphere. Still an excellent song.
This makes me want to dust off my game and play it again still such a great game.
Never fails to make me shed a tear or twenty. Hauntingly beautiful.
I'm so speechless..beautiful. Sometimes I get more excited to hear a song of you than over a new movie :3
+Mat Duerrer Im already excited for his next song.
This is absolutely stunning, and punched me right in the feelings. Kudos. I always love hearing you re-work bits of older songs back into related new songs, it's so wonderfully nostalgic.
the song is beautiful thanks
Truly one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. Thank you for making this.
Ladies and gentelmans be prepared cause the talented Miracle Of Sound has released another amazing song.
Wow Gavin this was made with feelings in it, i cant even describe the amount of talent you have, you are a supermusician and really thanks for existing, in this world we need more musicians like you, happy new year 2016 my friend.
Gave me goosebumps man, soul-wrenching melancholy and at the same time that triumphant sense of continuation and indomitability. Fantastic song to start the new year with.
I´m guessing that the reference to Going Nuclear in this song is "wasted world, my garden" in reference of "the streets and side walks are my playground" in Going Nuclear. if not that then i don´t see it.
+Ven “Meta-Bastard” Flemmingson "wasted world my garden" is from Beauty Bleak, his Fallout 3 song
+Ven “Meta-Bastard” Flemmingson
Nope. It's a reference to Beauty Bleak, an older Fallout song from back in 2011.
"Sterile soil will harden
Wasted world, my garden"
+Ven “Meta-Bastard” Flemmingson Actually that was a reference to Beauty Bleak one of Gav's two Fallout 3 songs.
Actually, "Sterile soil/Will harden/Wasted world/My garden" is a callback to one of his earliest songs that he made for Fallout 3, Beauty Bleak. It's wonderfully atmospheric and manages to carry across the tone of the entire series while only having three proper sung lines. Go check it out!
+portaljumper339 well a guess is just a guess after all. I was too focused on listning for a reference to Going Nuclear that i didn´t consider Level 1 songs that i haven´t listend to yet. question is then. are there no Going Nuclear reference in this song?
Even for a song about destruction, ruin and desolation, this is still hauntingly beautiful and makes me want to listen to it over and over again.
It also reminds me of some of the stuff by that singer Seal, especially from his earliest stuff like his first and second albums, although I can't think of any particular song titles offhand...
Keep up the great work! (And hooray, this is the first time I've ever left a comment for any of your videos on UA-cam; I really gotta do this more often...)
I haven't played Fallout 4 yet, but I know a little bit about it. What I know for certain is that this song is honestly hauntingly beautiful.
I actually recognized "Beauty Bleak" the moment the chorus started, which is amazing considering I only heard that song once, over two years ago! Goes to show how memorable your music is, I guess!
