LYRICS:
Burning Stars Gavin Dunne 2024
Among the cogs and candles
Where subjects strive to serve
The fallen pass their mantle
A dynasty preserved
A right of blood to channel
Dominium renewed
For freedom in a world of servitude
Across the burning stars
Our names will echo
Across the burning stars
We see beyond their distant glow
Venture forth into the dark
Domination in our hearts
We've travelled far
Our names will echo
Across the burning stars
These great crusades of order
Of powder, faith and steel
Keep marching ever forward
Through the formless and the real
To navigate the borders
To halt our final dawn
Vibrations in the void will guide us on
Across the burning stars
Our names will echo
Across the burning stars
We see beyond their distant glow
Venture forth into the dark
Domination in our hearts
We've travelled far
Our names will echo
Across the burning stars
Venture forward
Into the infinite void
Across the burning stars
Our names will echo
Across the burning stars
We see beyond their distant glow
Venture forth into the dark
Domination in our hearts
We've travelled far
Our names will echo
Across the burning stars
"Abelard, introduce Miracle of Sound!"
"and bring me his balls"
As you wish, Lord Captain.
Before you stands the holy choir of the Miracle of Sound! Faithful heralds of Valhalla, creators of the Ode of Fury, metal workers of He Who Sits on the Golden Throne, and many, many more. May their holy hymns bless your ears and the Emperor damn those who stand in their way.
Why is there a doppelganger of me here?
@@PapaWerserianhehehe
I genuinely fucking love having Abelard in my party purely for that reason even though my PC is almost the same build as he is =D
40k might be the darkest timeline, but we have a Miracle of Sound 40k song. So we have the brightest timeline!

It's been a long time coming but finally, a Warhammer song! Big thanks to Games Workshop and Owlcat for sponsoring the video and helping us out with unique footage.
Enjoy! 🤘
I hope it is not the last 40k song :D
That's marvellous! What a delight for my ears 😍
The game is 10/10 for me and I'm loving this track aswel! @miracleofsound
After this song, I finally became interested in this universe 😍
@@marzendragonit's wild af, you're in for a treat 😁
In the grim darkness of the far future, a galaxy at war stops to listen.
No need to stop just turn up the volume to drown out the screams of dying heretics.
There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods... and now an awesome song from Miracle of Sound.
Now I'm imagining Guards and Space Marines, side by side with Eldar and Necrons who are grudgingly going "yeah, ok, for primitives this isn't half bad."

@@thebestnoisemarine765one might say, across the burning stars
The horrid cacophony they produce may have some use as a weapon, but it's an insult to anything anyone called music since the Old Ones were tadpoles and certainly a sad and grim caricature of every song humanity ever sang.
Navis Imperialis: (singing Burning Stars)

Is this Max0r?!
My brother died 4 years ago due the accident on a lake, and he was the biggest fan of Warhammer universe i know. Today is his birthday, and just a day later you release this masterpease! Thank you, Gavin, i will be listening this song for him!
Hail to the Emperor, Brothers and Sisters!
RIP to your brother ❤️
"Abelard, applaud Miracle of Sound for living up to their name and singing with the voice of the Holy Emperor Himself."
For all that I love the Warhammer 40k Universe, this carries that wonderful sense that even the "heroes" are monsters in the subtext - brilliant as ever, and I'm so glad GW and Owlcat recognised your skills as worth sponsoring!
I mean you would have to at least be capable of being a monster if your going to be a hero in 40k.
Nothing comes easy, and everything must be earned.
Just look at Gulliman
By any other fictional universes Standards he would be considered essentially a Thanos level Villian and threat but in 40K he’s the ultimate hero and Saviour,
@michaelkean5969 what? Hardly gulliman is actually a stright goodytwoshoes even by other universe standards. Guy wouldn't even be a blip on the radar if it weren't for his gigantic superhuman physic
@@irontemplar6222 Such a goody two shoes that he prosecuted wars of genocide, like all the other Primarchs did, during the Great Crusade. People seem to forget that the "utopia" Guilliman fought for was very much Manifest Destiny on a galactic scale that brooked no xenos or deviant human ideas.
@sweracoon7931 yeah but that was when he was under the Emperor's command/rule. Since being under his own power he has been considerably more linent. The Eldar have all but been accepted by the imperium. And even in 30k the imperium brought several Xenos species into its domain. The jokaro and... one other who's name escapes me are notable examples.
The emperor himself would approve.
MY LIFE FOR THE EMPEROR AND MY SOUL FOR THE GOLDEN THRONE.

"For freedom in a world of servitude"
I don't know why, but this is just screams "40k!" to me.
Great job Gav!
on the third book of the soul drinkers series right now and that screams soul drinkers lol.
I know exactly why it screams 40k:
Because that’s literally what inquisitors and rogue traders have.
No one can't stand before the g...
It specifically encapsulates the core of what being a _Rogue Trader_ means perfectly.
In a galaxy-spanning Imperium of slaves to power & dogma, they are the ONLY ones who are _truly_ free to follow their own path.
Even inquisitors, who are the only ones who come close to their level of freedom are bound by the demands of their extremely crucial duties and the constant scrutiny of their peers.
Between lorcan and gavin the irish are making absolute 40k bangers
Fellow Lorcan Ward enjoyer, high five!
They should collab on a warhammer song
YESSSSS
I spot Lorcan Ward
Gavin who?
1:09 *"...for freedom in a world of servitude!"*
This line _perfectly_ describes the core idea and fantasy of what being a Rogue Trader truly means - in a galaxy-spanning Imperium of slaves to power, dogma, convention or necessity, from the lowliest serf to the high lords themselves, they are the ONLY ONES who are truly free to follow their _own_ path, pursue their _own_ goals, for no one's reasons other than their own.
Even inquisitors, who are the only ones with similar levels of autonomy, are bound by the neverending demands of their extremely important duties and the constant scrutiny of their peers.
All of this conveyed in that single line, it's my favourite in the entire song.
Hi Lucky
I love the lyric, “Domination in our hearts.” Because it goes both ways. Rogue Traders can explore and plunder to the galaxy’s end, but in the end, they’ll always be subject to the Imperium. They’ll take the Emperor wherever they go, in their innermost hearts. The dominated craves to dominate.
Yet at the same time, they still enjoy the most freedom of ANYONE in the entire Imperium by far (even inquisitors and high lords are bound by their monumental duties and the unending scrutiny of their peers).
"For freedom in a world of servitude!"
Expand or die
The Adeptus Audiorum approves of this vox communicae. Glory to the Imperium, the emperor protects!
"Powder, faith and steel". Ah Gav, never change.
Sigmar calls! :D
Emperor's blessing be upon you and your work, Gavin.
In the name of the glorious God-Emperor we’re blessed by Saint Gavin
By the glory of the omnissiah, my audio receptors have been blessed with this divine tune
I did not expect a song for Rogue Trader. BY GOD MAN, how do you keep getting me like this? Now we gotta get one for Wrath of the Righteous and us Owlcat players are eating good for a decade
Seconded.
Now i'm hoping he does one for SMII
Oh, that would be great. Wrath of the Righteous' soundtrack is what got me into it in the first place, so more good music would be awesome
You have no idea how long I have waited for Miracle of Sound to make a song about 40k. It did not disappoint.
screaming, crying, throwing up - my spouse voices Ulfar and I love your songs, this is such a dope crossover :D
I was thinking that Ulfar specifically would very much approve of this song. Seems perfectly fitted to him.

I'm just here for the biomass, but... Actually you know what, there are enough worlds to eat in this galaxy, keep the songs coming and we'll let this one live a little longer. - Your friendly neighborhood hive fleet
But if you eat him you can make your own music like this forever. It’s in the Greater Good of everyone for you to eat him.
Seems like a fishy proposition... Plus our mouths aren't really made for singing, and have you ever tried to play a guitar with razor-sharp claws?
for the emperor.
Ancestors are Watching!
"To halt our final dawn" BRILLIANT! I just love how you put all these clever references in your lyrics! ♥
I never thought we would get a warhammer song! I'm so glad it happened.
For Russ and the Allfather!
"Venture forth into the dark" is a line that hits so HARD for me and I cant explain exactly why. Something about flying into the dangerous unknown is just so god damn raw.
Wake the machine spirits and let the vox roar!
This one is long awaited and appropriately glorious. Great job as always!
This could be the house Valancius Anthem. You can picture spacers in Valancius colors singing that in a dive bar while raising glasses and the fight with the locals that inevitably ensues...
Never thought I'd see the day where I get a Miracle of Sound song about 40K, what a time to be alive

Bellboy isn't even on my radar, I'm talking about that corpse on the throne.
@griffinmckenzie7203 I don't think Vashtorr is a full chaos God yet, despite having worshippers. He's just the one responsible for forging Daemon Machines. I could be wrong though.
And I'm not bothering to talk about that corpse.
Came here to listen some Miracle of Sound, stayed to listen one of the Best wh40k songs
I'm a simple man, I finally see Miracle of Sound make a Warhammer 40k song...I blast it on repeat until the cops are called
Abelard, engage with this song for the algorithm.
Right away, Lord Captain.
Cassia, Idira, Pasqal! Prepare Astropathic choir! Let this song sound through the entire Warp!
for the God-Emperor had to put this song on top
We detected it across universes, @arcturuslwowski3056.
Well, that was mighty! In purely musical sense, it feels like a marriage between your Mass Effect and Diablo 4 songs, with a pinch of Valhalla. Quite fitting for a game where you live in one of the worst worlds imaginable... but you can actually make a difference, do something that will come down in history, maybe even be a hero. And the lyrics on top of that... I particularly love the emphasis on going out, into the unknown (pun not intented).
The best way I can describe this song is that it’s like a classic seashanty but in space; a “spaceshanty” you could say; something the crew of a spaceship would sing during their weary travels across the cosmos. 👍
It’s spot on for the tone. Rogue Trader is very much at the core a pirate or Age of Sail era story in a space setting.
All these Imposters, its infuriating, only an introduction from the one true Abelard counts!!
So...
To all you Adventurer's, seekers in the Expanse. To all the Abominations of the Warp and all the Xenos infiltrators, I formally introduce to you Miracle of Sound
Thank you, Abelard! Your help is greatly appreciated!

Oh boy great song and magical how the algorithm brought me back here after so many years, I remember playing "Take It Back" on repeat for days, weeks in row. Will have to subscribe this time so my ears won't miss this incredibly talented musician!
There exists no better war hymn to precede Gavin Von Valancius and the rest of the Von Valancius dynasty! Tremendous work, and I hope you thoroughly enjoyed Rogue Trader!
“Abelard, put on my mixtape”
I think we need an entire album from you based solely on Warhammer 40K.
Yes. He need to make more 40k bangers
As a heretic this song made me go back to the emperors light, across the burning stars!
By the Motive Force, I sure hope you'll get sponsored for Mechanicus II too, I can only imagine what you could come up with for heavy synth electronic church music
With this song I see alone imperial guard. He covered in blood and dirt, yet standing on mountain of fallen enemies and comeades. He stares into the skyline where burning debris are falling from cloud wound along with sunlight. This guard is happy, but his happiness is silent. This was his first victory in such great battle and he admits that it can be his only one. This mixture of happiness from victory and sadness for fallen friends makes him silent with anticipation of future. Because in grim future he will find his death sooner or later. And still he believes that names of his comrades will echo. Across the burning stars
The Emperer has blessed us with this song
I think at this point I've bought and played more games because of Gav songs than because of E3 or its compatriots.
Their music is outstanding.
When I first heard this song, I knew there was something unique about it but couldn't quite place my finger on it. Upon relistening to it now, I finally understand.
This song is constant.
The vocals don't tread far out of line in between verses or choruses. The instrumental is heavy and focuses on the percussion, on the constant percussion, knocking you into line with every beat. There isn't even a guitar solo, just a short break after the 2nd chorus.
This song perfectly encapsulates the oppressive machine known as the Imperium of Man. You stay in line. You do as you're told. You get beaten down and mulched, so Humanity may live on. You go on and on, rest forgotten in the past. Even those at the helm aren't truly free, shackled to the stagnant corpse of Humanity, forcing its heart to beat again and again.
This is truly an impressive song, Gav! Not just thematically, but a musical banger, too!
Primarch-Progenitor, to your glory and the glory of Him-On-Earth!
My favorite musician making music of one of my favorite franchises. This is a dream come true. I just want to say thank you
This has the perfect balance of grim defiance, heavy anger and undertones of futility against the approaching darkness.
May the Emperor smile upon your work.
Truly blessed by the voice of the machine spirit!
This really gave me goosebumps
And coincidentally this week I really got into Warhammer 40K Gladius, so it fits the 40K theme of my mood right now
