      Nice closet by the way... walnut always sucks...I just built a walnut head board... milled it up... threw half away... (kinda, went back on the wood shelf) walnut buggers for a week. Good times! Squirrels have been stocking the bedroom now. You’ve seen Chip and Dale... yep all our drawers are filled with walnuts.

      In German the saying "er ist gebaut wie ein Kleiderschrank" translates literally into "he's built like a wardrobe/closet" and essentially means "built like a brick shithouse". Go figure ;)

    Where did you learn these skills? I’m 16 and was thinking on becoming a carpenter or something along those lines. I really love working with my hands and the creativity

      @@debbielewis9018 Just about every community college offers a trade school program. Just because the media has pushed a college degree doesn't mean that there are only a few trade schools left. Many schools still have Voc/tech education courses in high school.

    There’s a way to do barn door bypass doors on one rail if you simply bend the top bracket holding one of the doors out and back down the thickness of the door nervous at first but worked out fine
    Can also jut mount one of the doors to the inside of the mounts the others on the outside of the mount

    Tip for you if you read these. Its easier to put tungsten in a drill when sharpening. Im new at woodworking but been a mechanic and welder for years. Thanks for the videos

    Hmm, I have a closet just like this (only it's a chimney pipe that blocks half of it). I originally thought that there was no way to get any use out of it, but what you've done looks functional and beautiful.
    Although I think I'm still going to go with my original plan of a bookshelf with a "hidden room" behind it.

      "Patent Pending" T-shirt respirator. Which is not true. I was seeing guys doing that since before John was born, but I wouldn't worry about it. They're dead now.

    Great job on closet and love the doors. Where and what was the walnut purchased at. I need 4 sheets. What are you spraying the walnut with. Doing a set of sliders somewhat from following you. Thanks

    Question: what do you use for your finishing spray setup/products?

      I use a Graco Pro 9.5 HVLP and i spray 2 part catalyzed lacquer.

    For someone on a budget which would you suggest buying first, a jointer or a planer?

      A table saw. You can make a jog to joint edges on it. I would suggest a lunchbox planer first

    Hey John sweet build and way to not fall for the easier route. Have you considered later on matching all doors in your home now or not worth the trouble?
