@@desidius2003 I'm sure cornering light is not the first thing that I would think when it comes to safety. These are touring bikes. Normally, people would add additional lighting on them anyways. Might as well have those lights modified to turn on all the time.
Cant keep em on all the time as explained. The beam will be above homolugation standards. Only when you turn and bank at an angle will it turn on. Even auxlliary lights will have blind spots when you turn and bank. the light dips as shown in the video. Cheers. -z

As a 10 year BMW owner I had S1000RR, K1600GT, GSA1200 and now the S1000XR 2019 and it's noticeble that BMW is reducing your costs year by year with hidden quality downgrade on the bikes... Old owners will understand what I'm talking about... My suggestion to BMW is to make a real upgrade on new models with quality parts and materials, not a bike full of plastic and China made low quality parts and use a TFT Panel to highlight upgrade technology and hide low quality parts all over the bike. Give your customers what they expect from the brand "BMW" and what they paid for...
Exactly!!! I'm also a 10 years owner of an F 650 GS. I was looking last year for the S 1000 XR and waited for the new one but totally disapointed. No shiftcam as all expected?? Stupid Germans don't want to give everything at once so as to have people on their hand. Also the awesome HP motosport colour is missing. Due to these reasons won't trade it and wait a few more years!
Not sure about that SOS button. If you get into a crash you can attempt to crawl back to your bike, assuming the handle bars are still there, and then push the button with your unbroken hand. OK.

I think the cornering light is an example of over-engineering. Id ask the same question Zach asked.
Critical Error this technology was first introduced in 2016 by kawasaki in its zx14. And how does a safety aid fall under being over engineered?
