That excuse didn't work for me when I contacted abnb. As you did, I also messaged the host asking for the actual speed in mbps since it wasn't shown in the listing. I did a speedtest and told the host, nope, i'm leaving. I contacted support and they denied me a refund because the speed was not shown in the listing.
You have to ask them in writing what the speed is. THAT will get you refunded. Also, pay by Amex.
@@RyanCrameraz Why just pay with Amex? I have Amex platinum.
Because if you properly document it, Amex will refund it right away. They only cc I know that does it
We are currently in an Airbnb and the air conditioning is not cooling. We have been here for 48 hours, and scheduled to stay for 28 nights, and we notified the host last night of the issue. The stated they would send someone out around 2pm today, but it is not 530pm and nobody. I reached back out, and no response yet. We even bought two fans for our room and our children's room to try to make it less miserable. We have taken photos of the thermostat and a thermometer we bought. Do we have a leg to stand on when we decide to vacate and request a refund of unused days?
I would immediately contact Airbnb customer service. they're really good.
@@ryanstravels23 We made the mistake of letting them fix it, which they did. But we later requested a refund for the 5 days the a/c was out and for the hotel we had to get for 2 nights. Sadly the host rejected the request, and when escalated to Airbnb they only gave us a 30% refund for the 5 nights. Lesson learned.
I did not get a refund even though I told Airbnb it is not as described. There was no dedicated workspace inside a room with a door. Also did not know that the unrefundable 30 days also meant I can’t stay for that time I already paid.
Thats why I use Amex. When airbnb doesn’t want to play fair, then I have another solution.
I just got to my Airbnb, it was full of dust smelled heavily of cat urine, it had mold in the bathroom and dirt under couches and beds. Also a urine stain on the mattress. We had to leave the Airbnb and get a hotel. I called and reported this to Airbnb and the host. Also sent pictures of all of this and they say I can’t get a refund because the host is denying all of it and won’t give a refund.
Sorry to hear that. Did you take video? Did you pay with Amex?
I’m not sure. I paid with through the Airbnb app.
Do you have an Amex?
Airbnb takes whatever the host says and I am planning on getting a lawyer. I wish I had a support group I could join that could stand up against these evil policies.
@@ryanstravels23i have an amex and used it why does it matter if amex is used ?
can i get a full refund if i change my mind (due to family news) more than 3 months in advance, only one week after i had booked it?
I would contact the owner.
Wow get screwed sounds like your trying to screw over the owners
Nope. Just creating a way out.
@@ryanstravels23 No - its fraud. The room was held for you- You are called a nightmare guest and the reason for price hikes
@@ryanstravels23 you are a con artist
Are you teaching people how to try and fraud a host?
NOI am teaching them how to PRTEECT themselves from fraud as a guest.
I’m responding to the user from the above comment when people pay for something they should get what was promised them when they don’t they should be given a refund or the host and the tenant should come to some new agreement when you charge somebody for an Airbnb and you don’t give them what you promisedthat’s not right in the host needs to accept full responsibility. People are coming for a joyful experience. They’re not coming to get a home or a condo that isn’t to their liking. I’m sorry that you are advocating for host to be compensated when they shouldn’t be.
Wow... this is evil. The fact that there are videos giving advice to guests on how to stay in an Airbnb for a few hours and then get out without having to pay anything is disgusting.
Thats really what you got from the video? wow...some people shouldn't be able to be allowed to watch youtube let alone touch a keyboard. smh.
Some people are genuinely silly my friend
You are evil for the bait & switch. If you show your bnb as one thing but it's another, you are a nasty piece of work.
There is a lot of bad hosts, who are not responding to guest needs
This is disgusting!
Put more energy into being upset with the corruption in corporations.
