Winnipeg's Old Cable Weather Information Display.
So OK .... I put this up as a "historical" reference. It came off an old VHS tape I came across recently recorded at EP so the quality is very poor.
The current Environment Canada weather data acquisition and public weather forecasting system is more and more reliant on automation. Back in '89 there were actual people involved in all processes and to the extent possible, with the information displayed on the local cable system. For my money, Winnipeg had one of the best cable public weather information display set ups. That's the reason I posted this. Compare this data display with today's fully automated processes.
