YES! This is everything I remembered it was. One time I was flipping through channels and caught this movie right at this scene. It has stuck with me for like 20 years and I could never remember what the movie was until finding it just now. I laughed so hard because I was like WHAT IN THE WORLD??? Does it make more sense if you watch the whole movie?
The crazy guy was in other movies with Clint Eastwood to. He was a biker in Any Which Way But Loose and Any Which Way You Can. Also he was Terril in The Outlaw Josie Wales. Clint either beats him up or kills him in the movies.
This guy has to be related to one of the Deliverance wackos. Very strange this scene just popped up in my head today so had to watch. One of my favorite CE films. I like imitating this guy when I transport friends in my car lol
I have to turn it off before he starts shooting at the rabbits, that’s going a bit far and was unnecessary. But it’s one of the most surreal and funny scenes if you have never seen it before, as crazy as it gets. I have always loved this film, the way the big dude is always hitting his partner by accident, a great old movie! Well worth a watch if you have not seen it though. Cheers 👍
Oh good this WAS a movie I watched once. I had this vague memory of hitchhiking and the guy turns out to be be batshit crazy and wrecks us and his first thought is "I gotta shoot all the bunnies in my trunk". He pops the trunk and hundreds of bunnies run out and then I turn back to him and he's a catapillar smoking a hookah and Jimi Hendrix is behind him playing purple haze.
This is one of the most random scenes ever... I mean, for anyone that has seen the whole film it has absolutely no point there!!! Still it's the thing you keep remembering once you finish the movie.
hey zeex, people stand in the rode when they actually do things is life. like not sitting it front of the pc pretending to participate in life, thumbs up!!!!!!!
I just love movies like this!!! Fear and loathing in Las Vegas, to Freddy got fingered... This type of off the wall humor is my favorite... I’m not even sure how to classify it either. I don’t suppose there is a classification for me or my sort of humor or anything!!! Shit man
I saw it go flying but just figured they put it back on, you just take a lugnut 1 lugnut from thr 3 other tires. I did think however that it's unlikely it would actually come unbolted from that ride. Also it sounds like a hubcap going flying and landing.
The car loses a wheel in the rollover, so I don't know whey managed to get it going wihout a garage. Played it in slow-mo and it ain't any spare, it's one of the rear wheels. Must have sheared off, though they probably used a scrapyard job to waste on the stunt, cos they had to have a working one later on.
They used at least two Fury's . When it gets rolled the taillights are all bent up. But then later the back end is straight and just the roof is bashed in. It's also not jacked up as high as before.
Only scene funnier on here is where his coworker outside the pool hall telling him about putting his pecker in the guys hand now he locks himself in his office. " i walked up to him unzipped my pants pulled my pecker out and put that dude right in his hand, he didn't know what to do with it hold it, drop it, or take off runnin down the street with it it was really funny". The only scene on here of it is recorded off the tv under Thunderbolt+Lightfoot snipit Funny Stuff, for anyone curious.
Three years later he tracked down Clint and Murdered his wife and son, Clint was then going by the name Josie Wales, he became an Outlaw and ended up catching up to him and killed him. A few years later he then somehow came back to life and joined a biker gang, Clint beat him up a few more times.
Good Lord, love the sound of that engine!!!!
I'm pretty sure it was dubbed in...it does sound cool though!
Louder than Lightfoot's outfit!
"We're getting gassed back here"😂😂😂
My favorite part of the movie I LAUGH SO HARD ON THIS PART TOO DAM FUNNY!!!!

Jeff bridges as iron monger
Sorry they make crap movies nowadays, woke shit.
I been, I been, I can take you anywhere you want to go, I been drivin all over this country man.
They had some amazing cars back in the early 70's.
They had some amazing crazies back in the early 70's
I swear Jeff Bridges is just a young version of The Dude in this movie
I love the Plymouth with Drag Tires
i first saw this movie back in 89 or so, i laughed and rewind so many times, i still laugh myself breathless when i see this still today.
gosh mee to
Context has never been needed so much
Right?!! But that was the beauty of coming across this movie right at this scene while flipping channels
The most random scene in cinema history.
"I'll take you anywhere you wanna go!"
That was the "squeal like a pig" dude driving that car, from Deliverance.
Another great scene in filmmaking history. Amazing stuff.
+Robert Meade Basically ffs, yeah. Nutjob killing the poor rabbits. The pair of them were humane. Good scene though.
This guy another friend of yours?
This guy another friend of yours?
It truly is one of my favorite performances on film.
I have to tell the truth, this is one of the funniest scene ever seen in a film. Any one gets dragged of laughing
Most underrated scene ever!

Exactly the same thing happened to me.
Me too, only in a 1973 Chevy caprice station wagon speeding north on I 94 in Illinois, getting gassed by exhaust in the back seat
Jeff, being all zen-like in the beginning there. That's so him. :)
A Classic..what a great line...Clint breaks character totally .." Racoon Sheeeet" Ahaha..."Don't pick your teeth."
Wheel flew off as it spun over. . . MAGIC . . . it's back on . . . . ha ha ha ha ha
I'm building a car just like this! I don't plan on rolling it though!
There were only two rabbits in the trunk when I left the house...dammit!
The crazy guy was in other movies with Clint Eastwood to. He was a biker in Any Which Way But Loose and Any Which Way You Can. Also he was Terril in The Outlaw Josie Wales. Clint either beats him up or kills him in the movies.

Same actor.

It's the 55 Chevy from two lane blacktop and American graffiti
1973 plymouth furey
I love the sound of that engine man, hahahaha. That's a great scene. Bill McKinney was perfect casting. "He's got a glass head like all these nuts."
HEY! Yer good, man!
Rabbit scene is sick L O L
You good Man
Jeff's sooo handsome
Awesome movie. The guy was wacked from inhaling the exhaust fumes, and prob other things.
Michael Cimino told Jeff it was his job to make Clint laugh on and off camera. He succeeded.
Such a random scene but totally hilarious & brilliant
great film

Listen to that sound, man!
HA HA HA HA!!!!
Why dont they make films like this anymore? You cant predict what will happen.
One of the best movies ever made. They don’t make them like this anymore
Must be an interesting story around how that Plymouth ended up in the film considering it was barely a year old at most at the time of filming.
Eastwood and Bridge at their Best Awesome
Totally Lol 😂
William McKinney was pure genius. RIP.
Yes, i just discovered by accident he was Sgt Terril from The Outlaw Josie Wales, also one of the bikers in Every Which Way But Loose and the sequal.
The leaf spring shackles need to be about another foot longer.
This is truly a spiritual movie.
Get in back !I ain't got time to wait on you !
the car flew around like that with all the bunnies in the trunk
amen bro bak in the day. plus they was america made
Modern cars look like shit compared to the 50's/60's/70's cars
great stuff, hot cars.
Much safer, handle better...and look like shit
1973 Plymouth Fury III
Hilarious!
this movie was too funny
Driver played by Bill McKinney was in a few Clint Eastwood films, too bad Ned Beatty didn't knock him out like that in Deliverance.
This guy another friend of yours?
Slightly advanced isn't he
My whole life, I've wondered wtf is this scene for?!😂
Great movie 👍
I'm sure glad they landed upright.
☝🏻😊 "Beggars can't be choosies!"
This is one of the most random scenes ever... I mean, for anyone that has seen the whole film it has absolutely no point there!!! Still it's the thing you keep remembering once you finish the movie.

Not a chemtrail in the sky.

Why does Clint always end up getting the weirdo?
By the way ; car wheel shears off at 2:17 yet they drive away afterwards.
Hah! Great eye! I've seen this film a dozen times and never caught that. Pretty funny.
You're not supposed to notice that.
They didn't the guy had a floor jack in the back and that's what they are using.
I saw it go flying but just figured they put it back on, you just take a lugnut 1 lugnut from thr 3 other tires. I did think however that it's unlikely it would actually come unbolted from that ride. Also it sounds like a hubcap going flying and landing.
I noticed that.
Could be be a spare?
Although the boot was full of wabbits.
jeff bridges has shot a lot of movies in Montana.
i wonder how many?
Great movie... closing scene is tragic
So...is it frowned upon to have shackle extenders like this anymore? Thinking about doing it to my Dodge Polara 😬😬
Friend of yours😂😂
Plymouth fury
its CLUE :D
Redlegs Terrell...wait or do I hear a banjo..
anyone else thinks jeff looks allot like ryhs wakefield in this movie?
The car loses a wheel in the rollover, so I don't know whey managed to get it going wihout a garage.

Or they filmed the crash scene last after they didn't need it any more.

Where's Burt Reynolds when you need him.
Uh...Damn...
Hammet picks them up man?

Kirk found his white rabbit
i wonder what happened to the crazy dude after they left him there?lmao
Three years later he tracked down Clint and Murdered his wife and son, Clint was then going by the name Josie Wales, he became an Outlaw and ended up catching up to him and killed him. A few years later he then somehow came back to life and joined a biker gang, Clint beat him up a few more times.
YOU DO NOT EVER , NEVER EVER PICK RABBITS UP BY THEIR EARS...
Modern Day candidate for Congress.
Only cool MOPARS make the movies!
it's a 69 Dodge charger with a hole cut in the hood for a blower
Hank Schrader no it’s not , it’s a Plymouth fury you can clearly see the Plymouth Badge when he goes to shoot the rabbits
Also it's a 1972 or 73.
