happy wednesday y’all 💛 if you’d like to keep up with podcast updates :) ➭ youtube.com/@sojuwithsarah I was hoping to post this video last week but the editing ended up being so much because I somehow managed to get 10+ hours & 138 GB of footage ~ so if you’re watching this video, THANK YOU 🥹
this is so real!! thank you sarah for showing us that not everything is perfect and that what is often showed on videos is not actually an every day reality :)
also lmao i LOVE your messy living room. so relatable!! that's how i'm like most of the time too T_T messy af also moose gets bigger every time i see him!! the big mic in the intermission is so cute!!! the gopro angles always hit so hardddd!! the thumbnail is my least fave part of the process sigh. keeps me up at night :< ALSO A PODCAST?! DID I MISS THIS?! HOLY COWWWWW IM SO PUMPED
Hi Sarah! As a hobby content creator myself, i really felt how you portrayed the real awkwardness that shooting in public is haha! Also the struggles with balancing work and content creation, plus the shooting with the same clothes on different days to keep consistency. Loved this format 💛✨
I’m so so glad you’re still up and running your channel. Thank you for finding the time to squeeze us in your tight and busy schedule; we appreciate it! I love seeing a day in your life. It’s so relaxing and some how therapeutic for me. I also cannot stress enough how epic that hair color is on you. I love that it matches moose ✨ you look amazing. Your apartment is the prettiest I’ve seen in such a long time as well. Please remember to take rests and recuperate; your health and stress levels come first 🫶🏽
hi sarah! i really loved the transparency and candor of this video. i admire that content creation is a hobby for you; i think it's what drives this feeling of sincerity that I get from your channel ~ grateful that you choose to spend your free time with us here!
I can't believe you have nearly 200k subs Sarah! Your content is so calming and interesting. I really appreciate this format!! So cool to see how you fit in filming and capture such beautiful clips. Congrats on all your success!
As a rule, I love your videos. But I loved this one even more. It takes so much work to move cameras, even when you're rushing because you want to get it on film. Loved it! Also, the new microphone is awesome! It sounds almost exactly like your current one, but really good.
Thank you soooo much Sarah for being so genuine since I've truly always wondered what it's actually like because it seems impossible to be able to film everything you want especially since your job comes first and totally relate to being heads down for 5 hours when I'm coding and barely eating/drinking 😅 But again, thank you for a video like this because I don't care if you backfill footage since I really just love watching your videos, I just think it was such a treat to really know the way the are filmed 🥰
Thank you for showing this. I am 46 Single Mom of 1 boy living in a 650 square foot (beautiful) apartment and let me tell you - cleaning and keeping this place in order is probably my biggest "time & energy waster" in trying to be a Content Creator. If I feel like crap because of lack of makeup or my apartment is too messy to film, I will FOR SURE procrastinate recording that video. Little by little I been " getting over myself" because I feel the only way to create content (even just 1 video per week) is to VLOG. Because when I know I have an audience to "talk to" - I can teach folks easily, as if I'm talking to a friend.
omg i loved seeing the bts of how you film!! whenever i watch vlogs, i am always so curious on how people get certain shots so this was so cool. thanks for sharing with us!! 💗
As a new creator I really appreciated this video and the real perspective of what it’s like to film out and about day to day! I’ve been curious about how it all comes together and work life balance and this was really good insight! Thanks for sharing 🤍
Loved this and especially as another tech worker right now in this climate trying to work through a promotion but also start some new hobbies and strengthen relationships etc etc etc etc, cant wait for everything you share on your podcast and topics you touch on there and in these videos!
I recently starting doing TikTok and honestly this helped a lot. I’m always so shy pulling out my phone to record in place or struggle with how to record certain things. I love watching your videos they honestly really motivate me.
Thanks for sharing the behind the scenes! As a new creator in the space, I definitely underestimated the amount of time it takes to record and edit content! Love that you captured that it’s not perfect all the time.
This was so so soooo good. As a full time but transitioning back to part time (😭) content creator I loved this. Thanks for sharing your very vulnerable moments with us!
OMGGG!! THIS IS SO FRESH OF YOUR CONTENT, I LIKE IT SOOOO MUCHHHH. GOOD JOB SARAH YOU REALLY MADE A FABULOUS VIDEO, I REALLY WANT TO WATCH THIS KIND OF VIDEO AGAINN😭😭
loved the realness! thanks for showing these behind the scenes .... also, i'm now asking myself how i will ever gonna step in to youtube/vlogs/videos/editing and all the work that comes with it while working 20h a week and taking care of 3 kids in the afternoons/evenings 🤣 this dream is slowly floating away 😭
Ok I absolutely love this video! Bc as a 9-5 girly who also does content creation as a hobby I FELT this lol. Thanks for sharing with us bts and making me laugh alongside with the not so perfect side of things 😂🤍
Hi Sarah thanks for sharing is the BTS of a content creator / full timer vlog. This is definitely not the glamorous side but you are willing to share so thank you. Really like the way your edit and make vlogs, different format could spice things up haha 😊 I just clicked the follow button, looking forward to your new podcast channel
This was so good, it feels so good to know that "sharing some reality" is mostly not real reality either and I am not crazy if I think that this life seems perfect but probably is not
I relate so much as a Software Engineer, and I always thought you have great time management skill (which i am more certain now that you do!!) to do so much in a day! My day went by in a blink after i stared into my monitor. Thanks for sharing this, it motivates me to do more and maybe get a hobby after work hour! 🤭 Can't wait for your podcast!
Honestly cannot wait to listen to soju with Sara super hyped. Also Sara I love that you share this side of you it’s really cool to see the effort you put in to your work and art ❤ as James states “The art vs the artist” 😂 please keep being spicy 🌶️ 😘
saraaaaahhhh, I LOVE this video. as I'm trying to build my YT channel while working full-time i'm relating to SO MUCH of what you're saying 😂 seriously enjoyed this video so much and can't wait to check out the podcast. and now i'mma stop w the fan-girl madness lol. love from germany!
I became a subscriber sometime last year! & I love your videos simple yet aesthetically appealing and the vibes be vibing lol ! Keep up the amazing work 🫶🏼🫶🏼
i LOVE it that you're playing around with content creation. but don't feel like you have to create something super-cool every time and it things get overwhelming or too much, come back to the simplest and most basic things. have fun no matter what :)
This was cool to watch, plans don't always pan out and that's fine and it's nice to know it happens to everyone? :) The sound of the new mic is really nice, super soothing
11:07 - Where did you get the dark purple throw blanket that you have to the right (next to the elbow without the laptop). I want something like that for my home!!! 🥰 BTW: Thank you for this video! I thought about filming a day "in the life of " but what stopping me? 1) I'm worried about what I can or cannot film in my work day and 2) having enough content to put a video together and 3) just keeping my life quiet and stress free. 4) my hubby and he wants to stay private.
Is that the Audia Technica Dynamic Mic? OMG I've had my for years! and I use it to record my podcast - AMAZING. My Podcasts sound super professional, I use my podcast voice and I do "bump up" the Bass just a tad in Filmora. Sounds AMAZING though. That mic is the one the $1 Million Dollar Podcasters use, like Pat Flynn, so I bought it years ago - it's not even expensive either! Around $100 now. It just doesn't look all "modern" like the new ones folks are using.
You should definitely do more behind the scenes video they're quite interesting to watch and I'm looking forward to your podcast they're so fun to hear and watch on a busy day
Love this! Such a cool view point - thanks for sharing the behind the scenes :) How do you get the quality of your iphone video to be so crisp and just high quality?
This was very fun, i would never have thought of making a bts bts lmao, also very interesting video and i like the realness of it. Great job as always, hope all 3 of you are having a great time as always, Thank you so much.
I'm in the process of starting my food channels and this was EXACTLY what I needed today (especially as a fellow Googler SWE). Is there any way you could talk about your editing process and/or camera settings? I'm by no means a videographer so I struggle with that stuff sometimes. Thanks!
I love this! Its good to see What it is «behind the scenes» behind a day in your life ❤ i Also love the editing. Its so real ❤ - i can relate the cringe 😂
As a Graphic Designer, I went back into your video history and definitely noticed that the moment you changed your font choice, it was a huge difference visually. The old font was too slim / thin, so barley "readable." The current one is thicker, so easier to read..... and of course, very "trendy" - so yes the font you use is also SUPER IMPORTANT.
@@sarahpan omg hi! I realy love your content, especially because I love the motivation I get from watching just one of your videos as an aspirant software engineer! tk you!

This was so fun to watch. There's this subtle comedic element to this video that reminds me of why I fell in love with UA-cam. Love it!

This was the best video I've seen in a long time!!
Loved the rawness and honesty. This is the real tutorial on how a BTS should be
I literally love your 9-5 content so don’t feel bad for backfilling. Your 9-5 comes first ❤
Loved this and especially as another tech worker right now in this climate trying to work through a promotion but also start some new hobbies and strengthen relationships etc etc etc etc, cant wait for everything you share on your podcast and topics you touch on there and in these videos!
