I really do love how nuanced Sanguine is. He's not really EVIL, but he isn't really *good* either, he just wants to be entertained by mortals and their propensity to act like fools. It's interesting to see how nice he is to the dragonborn and how he genuinely watched over them while they went on a drunken escapade across Skyrim. Also, he apparently was grossed out by Reman Cyrodiil himself while he stayed in the White-Gold Tower and actually ended up leaving.
Just because he isn't malevolent doesn't mean he isn't 100% evil. His realm is hedonism, engaging in pleasure for pleasure's sake regardless of the nature of said pleasure, even if it's things like rape, bestiality, torture, etc. Willfully encouraging these things, even if by proxy, certainly qualifies as being evil

So much so that she leveled up on conjuration fast and created two Daedric followers using the atrinoch forge, making them permanent using the Dead Thrall spell. It is so funny screaming out "Get them, my lovies!" Anyways I actually knew I could summon Dremoras because of that staff... my logic was, "If there is a staff, there is a spell book I could learn." My first play through I learned every spell possible due to the fact there was a staff for it and I always returned to the College of Winterhold every time I had a lot of coin to learn and use every spell possible. I find it hilarious that my Thorin (built after the character from The Hobbit series) knows more magic and spells than Shang Tsung and Skeletor built combined. I started off as a tanker and ended up being a powerful mage instead. Happens all of the time.
@@ladyprimrose4533 That is because you aren't using powerful Conjuration potions and filling up the perks. Though using Dead Thrall spell after killing a summoned Dremora Valkynax at the atrinoch forge would make them permanent followers. Fill that Conjuration skill with all of the perks. People underestimate the power of conjuration, but whatever build you do conjuration skill is useful. Plus it is funny to watch your enemies run off as cowards, while two beefy Dremoras run after them yelling out demonic phrases, "I will feast on your heart!" and "I honor my Lord, by destroying you!"🤣
Sanguine is very much the Dionysus/Bacchus of TES. Wine, revelry, having a good time, freeing yourself of inhibitions, but on the darker side: ritual madness, religious frenzy/ecstasy orgies, blood sacrifices, death and rebirth, etc. It would be cool to see him stand out more and have more lore to differentiate him from being a copy paste. I find it interesting because out of all the daedra he’s really the only one that I can think of that has such a clear real world inspiration.

Sanguine gives you what you think is a good time.....its not his fault if you're idea of a good time involves house full of handcuffed children and a butcher's knife...he just makes it happen.
Sanguine might actually be the Loki of the elder scroll universe . Just look at his acts , all related to Mischief but Sheogorath also does acts of mischief but only to drive someone insane . Sanguine's acts are just for the fun of it , for causing trouble . So he can be associated with Loki.
Sanguine would be impossible to represent accurately in modern games, because our society views sexual debauchery and sexual violence as more egregious than murderous violence and outright Slaughter. To show a person's head being cut off or life being snuffed out is only PG-13, to show a breast or a penis is adults only, to show sexual violence it's rarely permitted if at all.
Your comment reminded me of something that has stuck with me for years. Back in the day, as an American, I was a soldier stationed in Vicenza, Italy. When I arrived, I was a little surprised by the level of nudity in TV shows and commercials, yet they censored almost all of the violence out of a CSI.
Very good observation actually. The sexual, drug and debauchery related themes that would be required would indeed be super hard to explore properly in this age of gaming. But they could at least try and make it super suggestive instead. Ive been waiting for the expanding of sanguine for so long, he’s my favorite daedra.
@Sarah Cuomo lol? Taking “over society”? Please, prudes like yourself have always been screaming about degeneracy and yet comparatively we have much less than before. We have no legalised children-adult sexual relations like in ancient greece, we have no slavery and much less rape. Etc. Etc. The point OP was making is that video games are much more comfortable with showing “fantasy violence” rather than sexual and substance themes, it would be much harder to get a good rating if they did.
To be fair OP, in my opinion sexual violence is more egregious than regular violence and it would be very difficult to properly represent it in a roleplaying game without opening a problematic can of worms. Sexual positive themes and substances would be enough to represent sanguine. Perhaps the sexual violence could be suggested, but it shouldn’t be part of your characters choices in a videogame.
@@brandonb1681 reminds me of that newsstory about a Swiss office story being caught taking nudes during workhours. The US newssites censored her nipples. The Swiss newssites censored her identity.
25:34 - I mean, technically seen a daedric artefact is any magical item that's made from a Daedric Prince's blood, right? It has been a while, so I'm not sure I remember correctly, but if I'm not mistaken Martin Septim either said or implied that all Daedric artefacts are made of the blood of the princes (hence why they can be used in the ritual to go to Mankar's Paradise and their opposite is the blood of an Aedra). So, that could be a useful definition, I think. Since it turns it pretty much into a "yes" or "no" question since something is either made from the blood of a prince or it's not and there's not really a lot of grey area there.

Sanguine might actually be the Loki of the elder scroll universe . Just look at his acts , all related to Mischief but Sheogorath also does acts of mischief but only to drive someone insane . Sanguine's acts are just for the fun of it , for causing trouble . So he can be associated with Loki.
Molag Bal created vampires, but why is the vampire disease called sanguine vampiris ?
Sanguine also means red, which blood is.
I thought about it before, they do however are both Demons that represent the Sin of Lust.
“If they don’t call it combat, you’re not doing it right.” 🤣😂🤘🏼
I can't wait till you guys get to 1 million subscribers
He and sheogorath may get along
As long as fish sticks and cheese are on the house. Sheo is game!
grabs a drink. It always sounds like Todd Howard voices Sanguine
Love me some some more fudgemupet podcast
Is there a FudgeMuppet discord? If not there should be.
Today's podcast is brought to you by scott's quote "Animals are a step too far but lets see where the furries go".
I'm 1000 person like this video (not that it matters). Great Podcast Scott, Michael & Drew.
Have you guys ever thought about doing a “what if” video if uriel septim vii survived the assassination attempt?
There would be so many butterflies to contend with. It would be hard to figure out exactly how events would play out.
@@vampiricagorist6979 You could potentially say that for almost anything. Its just a video idea tho
@@RWNetworkEX fair enough
40k references? Well thank you! This podcast is a suitably enjoyable experience for Lord Sanguine!
Finally, the daedric prince of "quieres? ;)"

@@Stuffman1861 After what GW did, not shocked he moved to a new IP for lore
@@Stuffman1861 Yea I like the escapism of a world where humans and xenos can get along as well as they do in Tamriel.
@@lollma0 Can confirm :(

The Prince of "Don't Kink Shame"
Yeah, he doesn't kink shame at all. Not even when he probably should.
Sanguine is the most human Daedra.
