Hoo boy, this is going to be interesting. Last time, Rogue bullied Clem with mass Lurkers covered by Overseers, and Clem said later that Liberators should solve the problem. Will Clem's Liberators solve the problem? And if they do, will Rogue come up with a whole bunch of _new_ problems, and make them Clem's problems? I don't know, but I'm excited to find out on this, the _most_ professional StarCraft 2.

That's ridiculous. Everyone knows that it's ghosts that are supposed to counter everything. Every other unit is optional. If mutalisk rushes are a problem, just make the ghost academy cost nothing and build instantly.

If BC's were also immune to abduct, would you see a lot more of them in TvZ?
It’s not about casters per say but rather the low acceleration and 2.62 speed that makes it hard for BC’s to respond to harass and base defense and/or shifty fronts at this level.
Can’t buff them either or every TvZ would instantly devolve into a base trade. They almost push that already at their current strength if not for abduct/neural, because BC’s trade extremely well offensively as is.
Ghosts are just the biggest buzzkill

Are 7 minute hives the standard now? Rogue was consistently getting fast hive tech and Clem didn't appear to have the ability to stop it, even on a pretty conservative three base with 2/2 starting after the hive does. Have to give Clem credit, he's pretty ridiculous in the late game, Rogue was firing on all cylinders (except for the Ultras, Idra's wisdom prevails).

I think Snipe shouldn't work on burrowed units. Terran has plenty of answers to Lurkers (Libs, Banshees, Tanks, Yamato, Thor, Nuke) and Ultras (Libs, Marauders, Thors, Banshees, Mines) methinks. The "ghost counters every single zerg unit bigger than a zergling" dynamic is stupid.
Thors will get shredded by Lurkers, Banshees are made of paper and can easily get killed by Hydralisks, Yamato has a minute-long cooldown and is attached to a unit, that not only costs as much, as 2 Lurkers, but also can get abducted, mind-controlled, or killed by aforementioned Hydralisks. BC's also take a very long time to build, and are blocking the queue for Medivacs, Liberators and Vikings (should the Zerg go for Brood Lords). Nukes are only zoning tools, no pro will ever get hit by them, unless they're very unlucky.
Banshees are useless vs Ultralisks, they deal damage too slowly and cost too much. Mines won't target the same unit unless ordered to and you need 5 to kill one Ultralisk, they also are on a longer cooldown, than Ultralisk build time.
Also, if Steady Targeting didn't work on burrowed units, the counter would be to just burrow your units as soon, as you see the line, completely invalidating the ability. I agree, that Ghosts are overpowered, but unfortunately, heavily nerfing them would require other things to be heavily buffed. StarCraft basically painted itself into a corner with Ghosts, Queens and Warp Gates.
Those are all not very good answers to lurkers other than libs and maybe tanks. The rest aren't really high level tier late game army for pro players.

Yea, terran is so OP that on pro lvl zerg has biggest win rate in tournaments and on semi-pro lvl like 50% of grandmasters are protoss
The “this counters that” argument always neglects unit compositions. I would argue that based on zergs ability to switch compositions between remaxes, that the other races need a unit like the ghost which is good against everything Zerg has. The proposed balance adjustment is to make it so you have 2/3 as many ghosts in your endgame composition, so it’ll be like 15 or less ghosts instead of 20+
How did Rogue lose game 1? Can anyone say Terran isn't overpowered? Not in the MEME sense of the word like everyone uses it, but just blatantly overpowered!

Well, as a Zerg, people have been saying that same thing about Serral for years. “It’s not Zerg, is Serral” was our answer.
However Zerg got nerfs as a result. Banelings, infestors, broodlords are way less powerful now. Terran is getting surface nerfs (ghost supply nerf is not enough) and side buffs (old cyclone, immortal nerf, ultra speed nerf).
Because rogue played way worse than clem the entire game after the early zergling attacks, just look at the units lost tab before ghosts ever got into a fight. throwing banelings into marauders, forgetting adrenal glands while staying on ling bane hydra on hive tech, making 20 overseers while hes still at 150 supply. getting an early advantage doesnt mean you automatically win if you cant kill your opponent.

A Terran finally wins something instead of it being another Zerg World Champion 7 out of the last 9 (would have been 8 if Serral won) years and everyone is immediately screaming omg terran omg OP.
The simple answer... Rogue played very poorly in the latter end. Zerg thrives on overwhelming despite cost ineffectiveness - by smashing through and doing huge amounts of instant damage, and then having enough reinforcements or left-over army to finish off what's left.
But you CANNOT be losing a bunch of Lurkers for free like at 19:50 (for example, there were multiple moments) by being mispositioned without detection.

Years later and I still dont understand why can zeg upduct massive units? Justify it to me. It counters thors and the massive ship that terran has too much. I understand slightly pulling a few yards because of the mass, but comepletely pulling it like its a metavac is so stupid and immersion breaking.
It’s compensation for a greatly nerf’ed zerg from the lore. Still not sure why mothership got introduced and not leviathan, which would have likely had that ability(AoE version too) instead of viper. Alternatively, brutalisk(or even hunter-killers) could have been introduced to counter enemy massives of other races, but all zerg got was viper and ravager.😅

Computer tech has advanced so much in the last 30 years. Why still a cap on number of units in the game?
Sc2 is running on an "old system", not any upgrab since years to make it work properly with recent hardware, so even if you run sc2 with a 10000€ 2024 computer you can still have problems with an overwhelming number of units.

Want infinite healing on the go for your units? Terran. Want a giant ship that can teleport and snipe anything in the game and be repaired? Terran. Want giant buildings that get extra armor and shoot enemies? Terran. Want infinite map hacks that you can scan anywhere, anytime you want? Terran.
If you know nothing about it don’t engage.

The siege tank marine bait combo is just stupid. No other race has the same engagement/disengagement benefit. You barely ever lose a unit and kill enemy units. What other SC2 dynamic allows that? Can you tap and leave like that with any other race? Engagements can cost nothing for a Terran and no other race can engage and it cost nothing.
