The hardware from the pet collars is also just what you need on purse straps.
What a great idea, thanks for sharing. It sure beats fine. I’m full price at the Fabric store.
Pill tray greatidea for presser feet. I am always looking for them. Thanks
If the feet are small it does work great!
The large patterned dog leashes make sturdy totebag straps.
These are just amazing -especially the dog leash and collar. Thank you sew much!
Glad you like them!
The tips you share on these videos are very practical, time, and money saving. Thanks, Sookie. Here are a couple more of mine that I hope you and your readers find useful.....I custom designed my cutting/storage unit with Ikea pieces. In the space underneath the table for my legs/chair, I used Command Strip hooks all around to hang my rulers, etc.. For anything without a hole, I used binder clips to hang. Have a great day
Excellent tips thank you so much. I wish I had space under my desk but not much leg room. But very good for others. Thanks for sharing.
The felt makes a nice alternative to batting. Not as thick but still gives body to smaller projects.
Agreed
I have never subscribed Anywhere before! Love your site. All those thread ends we make while sewing? I save them for the birds who use them for making their nests. Keep some a little longer... the Baltimore Orioles make a real show pulling them out of the (clean) wire suet cage. I also have a second one for dog hair!
Keep up the good work & Thanks! Nicky
Wow, thank you Nicky! You like seriously made my day!! Love the idea of what you are doing! So sweet. thank you so very much for sharing.
So many ideas 💡 thank you for sharing ! That pill box 📦 great idea
So glad it helps! I need to make an updated video bc I’ve found even more things!!
I cannot get enough of these plastic storage bags. The dog leash can be covered with fabric also to make handles
That is a great idea!! Thanks for mentioning that.
Wow amazing ideas. Love the wooden spoon idea just so you know I took it from the kitchen just now. 😆 😆 😆 thanks for sharing
Perfect! I stole mine until we finally got one at the dollar store, lol
I am glad to know about things at Dollar Tree to use for and the house you have very good and important information using thing I never hand though about using. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!

Thank you for this!
Even though my dollar store is now a dollar-and-a-quarter store, it’s still a bargain for everything you shared!
So true!!
Those storage bags are great! Your Dollar Store Hacks are awesome! Thanks and Merry Christmas to you and your family!
We’ve got another list so we’ll be headed back soon! Merry Christmas to you and yours too!!
I am a new subscriber and have enjoyed watching your videos. I like the clear kitchen cutting mats offered at the Dollar Tree for pattern templates. It allows you to easily “fussy” cut, too. I also use a lent roller to clean lent from my wool pressing mat.
Welcome and thanks for subscribing!
I found dog harnesses for a dollar today at my dollar store. They have small clasps and 4 D-rings. The braid might not be too useful because it's in short pieces, but I was thrilled with the D-rings. They are really expensive in the craft stores.
Yes, so expensive, it's nice to find other ways of getting hardware. Glad you found value.
Awesome video. Headed there tomorrow!
Hope you enjoy it!
Love these ideas.
Glad you like them!
Great tips!! I wonder if the Goo Gone would take the printing off the pill container?
I doubt it would, I don't think Goo Gone is that powerful :)
Use the dog collar and leash webbing for bag handles!
Good idea! Thanks for sharing. Please do subscribe if you haven't already!
I use the scraps and threads to make new fabric.
Put them between 2 pieces of soluble interfacing.
Sew in a close pattern or free sew.
After you finish sewing, put in water to dissolve
the interfacing.
While still wet, shape over a plastic (saran wrap)
covered bowl or any shape you want.
Allow to dry, and voila, a nice catchall to use.
That’s great!
With the Goo Gone, I would be concerned about residue getting on my fabric. I would use warm water and Dawn dish soap on a paper towel to wash the hoop or serger.
I tried the shelf liner for the pedal of my sewing machine….does not work on my floors. I saw another tip for this problem, a lady purchased sone pot holders with some of the silicone stuff on them, I have yet to find some but will e trying that when I do, hate when that pedal is all over the floor…..
oh that is interesting, what type of floor do you have? Also please report back how the potholder works
You can use acetone to remove the ink from the top of the pill containers
Good to know
The dog harness has more hardware for the same price 🙂 I personally Ike the triglides off the backpacks better.
That’s a good idea too!
I just found your channel and I'm really enjoying the dollar store hacks. After seeing your spoon used instead of a seam roll, what dollar store item can you use instead of a clapper?
Ooohh good challenge. My first thought would be a wooden spoon. I certainly do use for pressing seams.
My Dollarama has bamboo cutting boards in different sizes that could sub for a clapper.
@lolam.9150 ooo that’s cool. I might need to dig around for that.
