I had my little safety scissors on the retractable thingy for a one-day sewing retreat a couple of years ago. All day I was snipping off stray long thread ends and still was able to find my snipper when I needed them again. Awesome finds today. Thanks for sharing.
I sew for dolls quite a bit and I like to keep the plastic shells that grocery store bakeries sell muffins and pasties in. Many are hinged and they have a snapping feature. I sort my projects in them. Plus...I get to eat muffins!
I’ve used the scissor idea but I like to use a lanyard . I understand you are showing $ Tree items and they don’t have lanyards. Even though I use the lanyard a lot, you cannot imagine the number of times I’ve been looking for my scissors and they are around my neck! Love your reviews and project ideas.
I have just used the red brick peel and stick in my kitchen for a backslash look. Since l live in an apartment and not allowed to repaint. This peel and stick helps me to make my kitchen my own look.
Here in Fort Lauderdale we have 3 different Dollar Trees stores that I go to. They don’t have haft 😅the stuff yours has. Can I come up there with you? Lol 😂 I always love seeing you. Keep up the good work. Be safe, be healthy. 😊
Great ideas! RE: the small pink clamps are coated in oil (to prevent rust during shipping) which means you shouldn't wash in water. I dusted mine with corn starch to soak up the oil, then brush the powder off. Otherwise the oily film could stain fabric or paper.
Love the ideas you find and share since I don't drive it's hard to go poke and look, seems like crafty people are always looking for new thinks to help them make things easier. Thank you
I love what you did with the scissors. Mine always end up in my step daughter’s room. I’ve been binge watching your videos and I’ve left Ed a lot of new sewing tricks I’ve gotta try. Janice
I love all the crafty and container goodness at DT! The only thing that continues to disappoint is the JOT glue sticks. Always dried to a rubbery substance when I get them for some reason. The Elmers ones are usually fine. Great 💡 ideas! Love the little lights for the sewing machine.
Hi I’m bk!!! Great tips! I use some of these already … I have my small nippers & a small pr of scissors on cords that I wear around my neck. After you repeatedly pick them off the floor the light bulb goes off, lol!! But I definitely like the retractable idea. There’s always idea(s) that you haven’t heard of… right!! Thank you!!
Timothy, this tip is actually for the Blue-Ray DVD. If you have a computer, then I think that you can play the dvd on your computer? It’s very old-school way to watch DVD’s. My grown daughter’s still watch DVD’s this way. They don’t have a DVD player either. My son watches movies thus way as well!
Thank you so much Tim, you are so lucky having a Dollar Tree store near you. We only have pound land and they don’t stock anything as good as yours does. But I really really enjoyed looking at all this wonderful things. Please stay safe and well too xxxx Mags ❤❤❤❤
I just stopped at a Dollar Tree that is an hour from me and wow, it was even better than mine! I’ve recorded a new video to show it off. Will be out in a week or two.
I get so much from your videos, thank you. I use a lanyard with a clip on the end to hold my scissors and I wear it around my neck when I'm crafting so I never have to search for them, it saves a lot of hunting lol. As for the dish towel and pot holder I open the dish towel then refold to the size of the potholder. I place the potholder in the center of the open dishtowel that is right side up. Sew across the middle of the potholder and dishtowel fold it in half and sew a button on the potholder opposite the loop you have a hanging dishtowel. You can hang it from the oven if it has a bar.
I bought all sorts of containers at Dollar Tree. I use them for ribbon, elastic, sewing machine feet, buttons, lace, etc. I also bought jumbo plastic clothes pins to use as clamps.
That AWSOME cleaner is amazing. It cuts grease like nothing else, including Dawn!! Dollar Tree has lots of hidden gems. Our 99cent store is clising with all the rest if thrm and Im totally bummed out abiut that.
Those head lamps you can wear them at night when you walk on a beach they light up the rocks that glow.. You don’t know which ones light up till the night ..
I need retractable gadget & the lights for serger ! I have the worst time with light bulb on my serger 😡, the other day while pressing the hem on some huge curtains, I was using a metal measuring guides & pressing , as I was setting iron down my phone rings ! I quickly turned to my left , iron almost slipped off board my little fiskars did slip they landed on my right foot right below my little toe! I was wearing pair of clogs , then I see blood everywhere, took off my shoe , cleaned my foot but blood wouldn’t stop flowing, ran some water on it , the scissors missed a vein by a hair 😳! With this gadget you can clip to something & possibly avoid an accident like mine !
Wonderful! I get to travel often to teach classes and give talks on Frank Lloyd Wright and tshirts are my go-to souvenir. I’m glad you got to visit both locations. I love them each for different reasons.
I love the zipper bags to keep projects together and easy to carry around. The ones with the handle on the end are the best.

I love the egg container idea. I could give one to my little niece and nephew with paints and pieces to paint for Easter. Thanks for the idea!!
Great idea!

Great tip! I bet it looks great. A perfect solution for renting.
I love the retractable scissors trick. I have a favorite pair that constantly fall off. Kewl.
I have a Dollar Tree a mile from our house. I love the tech case for my diabetes pump supplies.
What a good idea.

I like the pink finger tips. I wear one when I use the hot glue gun. It saves my finger from getting burn

Love your videos. I just discovered them and can’t stop watching them. I also just shared it with my quilting friend ❤

The egg carton/ palette is awesome. I could have several and not break the bank
The retractable card holder is a good idea as I am always losing my clippers.
New subbie here, I have been watching your videos on sewing/craft hacks and they are awesome.
Oh My Gosh, thank you for all of these great ideas
I never think to go to Dollar Tree. Tomorrow! Thank you.
Have fun!
Be careful with the Dollartree pot holders. They can melt when using with hot pots!
Just check to see what they’re made from. I have some DT pot holders I’ve used for years
Too thin, burn fingers

Great idea!
Thanks for the cleaning stuff
love your t-shirt! I’ve been there and Fallingwater
Wonderful! I get to travel often to teach classes and give talks on Frank Lloyd Wright and tshirts are my go-to souvenir. I’m glad you got to visit both locations. I love them each for different reasons.

Glad you like them!
LA Awesome liquid will take the finish off or discolor metals--test in inconspicuous location! But I love the stuff. Use in well-ventilated space.
Great point! I had not experienced that but it’s good to know.
Love your ideas!!!
Thank you! 😊
Would love to watch your whole video but we don’t have dollar tree in uk, so jealous 😔❤
Put magnet on the black end.
Great video thanks ❤😊
You didn't link the video using the measuring tape. I'm interested. Can you link it please? Thank you!
I think it was this one: ua-cam.com/video/AL3mbp7AgEQ/v-deo.htmlsi=GCzmK0gxmo5vGi_1
Your mind works like mine does. Other ways to use things.
Wish we had a Dollar Tree here in UK😢
Not sure it would make sense with the different currency. Lol. Aren’t there any pound shops?
@@timothytotten9409 Yes there are £ shops but nothing worth buying
You just found out about tape measure😂. And you call a hole to hang a pocket"cute"???
