Thank your for sharing these with us 💖 There were even two or three books I haven't heard about so that was nice :D I read 'One last stop' when it got released and enjoyed it! I'm mostly focused on clearing my shelf with older books, but I hope I can include some lgbtqa+ books later during the year 🌈✨
I would definitely watch if you decided to make a video discussing the ableist reviews/responses to Even If We Break. You are the only person I have seen talk about the novel on booktube, but I noticed the low goodreads average right away :/ Thank you for being willing to give in-depth trigger warnings for any of these books; I feel truly safe when I spend time watching your videos. My most recent favorite LGBTQ+ books are Detransition, Baby by Torrey Peters and Cemetery Boys. I loved both for their nuanced and realistic portrayals of what it's like to be trans, although they are very different in every single other aspect including in the specifics of their trans characters.
Thank you! I really do want to talk about it, bcos it’s one of the lowest rated books on goodreads and yet it’s better than half of the books I’ve read, so it’s definitely suspicious🙄 And that’s like one of the best comments I could receive, I always want this to be a safe space for people as it is for me, so thank you for telling me that🥺💕 I will definitely be adding that book to my tbr, thank you for the recommendation and for leaving such thoughtful comments💗
i'm chronically ill and disabled too and your videos always make me feel like there is space for me in the online book community
Omg this comment made my day🥺 I know it can feel so isolating, but there is ALWAYS space for you in my little corner of the internet🥺💕
