Hi! Regarding my oven process, after turning the oven OFF and placing the soap inside, I do leave the soap in the oven all night and remove it the next morning or afternoon. I think I've left that out of my voice overs in the last few videos and just wanted to clarify. Thank you for watching! - Holly :)

Hi, what do you need the oven light for?..

@@nataliayagodina7807 Hi! The oven light helps hold the heat in the oven for those first 3 or 4 critical hours when gel phase starts.

I love the fact that you touched on subtracting the weight of the container when splitting the batch. When I was getting started in soapmaking years ago, this used to get me in trouble. I bet it still does with a lot of novice soapmakers.
So thanks - I do love your videos. You're very thorough, but there's not a lot of chatter - you've hit a perfect balance.

Hi! Watching past videos, it was helpful to see all the beautiful works❤I don't know what you're saying because it's not an English-speaking country, but it's a video so it's very easy to understand how it's done. can i make a request? Can you make a pattern like Jupiter with the Great Red Spot in it?
I would like to express Jupiter's unique striped pattern and the Great Red Spot.

HI, how long before you unmold your soaps and cut them? because I unmold and cut inmediatly but almost always the soap is too soft. Maybe is that the problem? Thanks for answer.

Hi Holly, thanks for your videos, they're always so good and so relaxing. I noticed you use lavandin in your blends, is there much difference between it and say french lavender which is the one I've been using or other types of lavender? Also, i was wondering why you choose to use it? I hope you see my message, hope you don't mind my questions. Have a beautiful day!

    • @hollysoapmaking

Thank you!! I came up with my lavender/lavandin blends years ago and incorporated the lavandin mostly to cut down on the cost of using just Bulgarian lavender alone. And I’ve stuck with it because I love the scent of the blend. I have used French lavender in its place before, and it worked well. 😊 Oh and awhile back I also tried blending Wholesale Supplies Lavender and Lavender 30/32 at the same rate and came really close to the scent of my lavender/lavandin blend. Hope this helps! :)

how to calculate parts in grams ?! I don't understand this part of the recipe. considering that they are 40g of fragrance. lavander 5 parts = g?!
