@@ljc675 and @pauletteplatt5109 How about sand and earthy colours - yellows and browns… or perhaps grey…. And when you remove the top and bottom dipped layers you get the same colour way… but embedded in the ‘earth’… a dinosaur fossil…. One of several… you take your chance at which you will uncover 🥰 Clean archaeology for all!
This is amazingly beautiful. I was thinking the same as you when you first were talking about the technique. But after you started dipping and the results were awesome, I now love that technique and will likely try it. I will do a very slightly lighter weight bar to account for the extra weight of the dip. You picked such wonderful colors for your bars. Love them! Cheers 👍🤗
I think this is a great way to use the fragrance oils that accelerate and doesn't allow fine designes. This way the base soap can be one-coloured but the top is still beautiful and interesting
I am absolutely left speechless. You are the Picasso of soapmaking. Do you ever work in oils? Your creativity and artistry is simply beautiful. I never thought of soap evoking memories and feelings but each of your bars tells a story that is individual to each person who looks at it and uses it. Thank you for sharing your gift.
Its a really interesting technique, and I enjoy watching you work through the process. I do have to say though that I prefer a design that goes all the way through. I can see this being a really awesome way to have a "secret soap" design in the middle that's revealed over time with use. It could be a really involved way of saying "will you marry me?"
awesome as always! ive seen a few people when doing this technique pull the bar side ways instead of pulling straight up and it makes great swirls too! ❤ u are great!
@@IDreamInSoap that being said, you are an artist that excels in everything artistic & you go above & beyond ! I'm so tickled when I see a new video of yours because I know I can expect to be amazed!
HI! Where did you get the clear silicone mold for the inside of the plexiglass mold? I love it! I'm always afraid to use my plexiglass mold too much because I'm afraid I'll scratch it during cleaning.
I agree, it does make ugly soaps look pretty, which is cool. I only said I didn't think it would be good if the soaps were to be sold as someone would be buying a soap based on the pretty top design, but would then end up with an ugly bar of soap
Pretty! I love your color choices. The neon purple (a personal favorite of mine) was the perfect little extra! BTW, Lisa, what makes up your warming cupboard? I use a cardboard box lined with a heating pad and towels. (Not fancy, but it works.) What is yours?
Neon purple is my favourite purple too. My warming cupboard is actually a restaurant double plate warming cupboard. It's like this, not the exact one but very similar. www.empiresuppliesonline.co.uk/products/empire-double-door-hot-cupboard-plate-warmer-120-plate-7522-p
Every time you dipped I had a new favourite bar😂 I do wonder how much dipping soap was discarded… it feels like it’s quite a wasteful process compared to your usual efficiencies! Thank you Lisa!
I was able to use each plate of soap for about 3 or 4 bars, just adding a bit more soap. The bits that were scraped off I put into a small mould and then made a couple of bars that we'll just use at home.
@@IDreamInSoap Apologies, Jennifer's channel is the soap artist. Lovely girl. I didn't know you didn't know her, I sort of thought we both subbed basically the same soap channels however I have been wrong. 😳😂. But now that I know this, there is one Texan man who can greatly benefit from your guidance, he calls himself the orgelmeister. I don't know why. I have sent him to you before because he's battling a bit. He instead found Katie from Royalty soaps, also a lovely girl but you surpass everyone when it comes to technicality, so although he's getting much help, the technical side of pouring to get a design has not reached him. And let me be clear I'm the last person to speak, I have never so much as bought mica, I just relax watching. Anyway there's some channels for you ❤️
I just love watching you with all your soap making, even the music is lovely. I live in South Africa and it is difficult finding soap making supplies, such as an extruder 😢
I am not sure this is the right term, but this is out of your comfort zone as it were and you seemed to really enjoy yourself. I like the pattern on the side of the bars where you dragged up the side of the mold.
I have no problem with selling the bars that are specifically made, like I did. I would show the back of the soap in the shop image and explain that the dipping bit was on one surface, but I wouldn't try to hide ugly soaps with the technique to sell them.
This is the first video of yours that UA-cam has decided to show me in about 3 years. The only reason I know you're still here is because I see your posts on Instagram.
It could be fun to do a hidden design using this technique, as you use the soap it's revealed :)

Yes, that would be cool. I think if you have a decent bar underneath then it's a great technique.
Ooo, I like that idea!
Didn’t see your comment when I made mine! Obviously I agree!
I love all of the different variations on this design and definitely looks like you enjoyed it in the end! 😊
That's so kind of you to say @jasperbunny, thank you so much 😊
Beautiful! Wasn’t tempted to try this technique until I saw you do it. Thanks Lisa for the inspiration and how fun you made it! 😊
You are so welcome! 😉
I love the little splashes of purple and the way they contrast with the other, cooler colours. The bars look amazing!
That's so kind of you to say @pink_shoe_laces, thank you so much 😊
I get so giddy when I see a new soap challenge post!!! 😂 Beautiful, as always!
Hi @sabrinastreet5337 thank you so much for your very kind comment 😊
Such a pleasure to watch you make this soap. Lovely from every angle!
Glad you enjoy it! 🙂
Whoever is responsible for this dipping technique is a genius 👏🏾 Bravo

I agree Cheryl, the results are so cool and I think if you plan for it and use soaps made specifically for the process they'll be amazing
Finally one of the amazing Soap Challenge designs I feel confident I could have a go at. Yours are beautiful Lisa

Love it! It realy make sense when you use the main colours in the soap bar first.😄

Absolutley beautiful
Thanks, appreciate it. 😍
Sound effects. My favorite part! Gorgeous soap!

The dipping is pretty, but can I just say how much I LOVE your base soap design!

😍
So much time spent on each bar!
The dipping was actually pretty quick, but yes they take more time than just a basic bar of soap
When I did this challenge, I thought it was pretty simple to do and a great way to make “ugly” bars look very pretty. ❤
I agree, it does make ugly soaps look pretty, which is cool. I only said I didn't think it would be good if the soaps were to be sold as someone would be buying a soap based on the pretty top design, but would then end up with an ugly bar of soap

Really pretty. Now the challenge is how to make a soap with a swirl that looks like the outside of this soap that goes throughout the bar.
Yes, that would be very cool

Is this tool USB or the large head type of plug that is only available in non wet areas.

Hey, thanks. appreciate it.
We sell an extruder you know. 😉👍

Not a daily soap but a beautiful technique
It was a competition soap, as you know, but we'll be using them. 😉

AW, that's a shame. Hmm, I'm here every week !!
A good way to make 'ugly' soaps into pretty soaps! I fear they would be too pretty for people to want to use.
It can be a good technique, I'm not a fan of covering up ugly soap though as the ugly soap will be shown as soon as you get through the dipped part
@@IDreamInSoapVery true, I just felt my soaps. I don't think any of them should be considered ugly!!!
So beautiful! You decided not to use the black.
Yes, I was happy with how they were coming out, so didn't think I needed it
They came out beautiful. It would be cool if you could drip the whole soap. 😞 but that would waste a lot of soap…
That's so kind of you to say @sarahconklin1256, thank you so much 😊
