I just love the red achieved from using Himalayan rhubarb and it gets more intense with time. Be aware that it does bleed into adjacent colors. I think it works really well in an ombre soap, though, because the color bleed probably helps the ombre transition look even smoother. Thanks for watching! - Holly :)
Thank you for this tip - I am afraid of making it too dark, so I was going to try using half the amount of infused oil adn swirling it with uncolored soap .. but if it bleeds over time, it might not give e the look I'm after. An ombre might be the way to go. As always, exceptional video.
what a fabulous video! I had stopped soap making a couple of years ago and just decided to resume. This is the first video I watched as Im thinking of coming back. Your videos are so calm and gentle I love them! Thank you for being so kind and generous with your knowledge and sharing your recipes. 😃
I used your guidelines from the SCC rainbow soap to make my own infusions. I made a lavender blend soap with Himalayan rhubarb + indigo and ended up using a little ultramarine blue to get the purple I was going for. I darkened some of the batter with AC and lightened some with TD. I did a fluctuating ombre wall pour then ran a hanger through it. I love how it turned out and I thank you so much for the specific infusion instructions. The transformation of the Himalayan rhubarb oils once it meets the lye solution is like magic! This soap is just gorgeous! your smooth ombre is flawless!
Thank you for another beautiful soap video! Your last Himalayan rhubarb soap made me actually put my foot down and purchase it! LOL it is so beautiful!
Stunning and seamless ombre! One of my favorite techniques! The natural color from the Himalayan rhubarb infused oil is so gorgeous! Thank you for the beautiful video with your calming voice and the background music. It is therapeutic to watch your process as always!
I do love your videos! Nice to see another rhubarb one - the beautiful red that comes with using a rhubarb infusion is matchless, and it was interesting to see how beautifully it works in an ombre design. A gorgeous soap! ❤
Hi Holly! I love your videos! Especially this ombre Himalayan rhubarb soap. It's beautiful. I went to the site you listed for where you buy the rhubarb but not sure if I'm looking at the right stuff because it says root powder, or extract, and produces shades of gold. Is the color different for soap? Thanks
Such a beautiful piece of art. Thank you for sharing these masterpieces with us. I have a doubt, if we don't have an oven then how long should we wait for the soap to go through the gel phase
How long do you leave them in the oven to force gel? Is it after 3hrs when you turn off oven light? Or leave 24hrs inside oven? Im a newbie and im so inspired with your work. Thank you for this amazing video.
I'm not Holly, so I can't tell you about this particular soap. In general, natural colors in soap will fade somewhat, but many of them are stabilized by the addition of some clay. Maybe that's why Holly used clay in this recipe?
Just beautiful!! The website for the rhubarb powder lists 2 different ones A rhubarb root powder and a rhubarb extract powder...which one is the one you used? Thanks.
Love THe vibrant SUnset Look. Hi From England. I Was Going To Ask, WHat the BAse INgrediEnts Are, but you’ve Kindly Listed them. I’m New To SoAp Making but REad a lot so Far. So …you used 6 1/2 Tbsp of Rhubarb powder for your red half? Seems an awful lot ie expensive, if that’s correct ; ) ; ). Always love your work. Simple perfection 😊

I appreciate very much how you refer to the soap calculator. It really helps new soap makers get familiar with it.

Do you add more oil to your rhubarb jar and reuse for another time?

So gorgeous and delicious looking.
Beautiful
What is the best fragrance in soap ma'am?
Amazing so pretty
Hi, Holly! Where can I get the Himalayan Rhubarb, the same one you're using to make this soap. Thanks in advance.
Do you know if this will bleed and discolor a wash cloth, or stain ad tub/shower?
Gorgeous color. How does it hold up over time?

A rhubarb root powder and a rhubarb extract powder...which one is the one you used? Thanks.
Thank you! I used the rhubarb root powder for this one. I’ve also tried their extract powder and it gives more of a dark magenta pink color.

The problem with rhubarb infused oil is that the soap change colour after few week to light brown
Rhubarb gives a fantastic color… the only bad part is that Indian Rhubarb is an endangered species and we should stop using it!!
I'm guessing that English is not your first language huge language barrier here
What? 😜
Does her English sound weird to you? She has a southern accent, from the Southern states of the US.
Hello, how do you determine the usage rate of essential/ fragrance. 🤔
