Wow! This was SO helpful. I, too, accidentally locked the thermostat but with your info, discovered, thank God, I only partially locked it, so with the factory code, I restored it to the mode we needed, and turned off the lock. Thank you so much!
Mark, I cannot thank you enough for this video!!! SDG&E turned off the power in our neighborhood overnight. In the morning, our thermostat had amnesia. I tried to re-program it and accidentally locked myself out. The soonest help I could get from the original installer was going to be two days later and was going to be $99.99. They wouldn't help me over the phone. Thank you!!!

Then our landlord changed it to this thermostat and put it on the low temperature 🤒. Was hard for me to breathe all last night but thankfully you made this video changed it to 72 and my chest feels lighter already. THANK YOU!!! A senior relative (82 years old) had hers lock when the AC turned on the first time. The tech we called didn't give us this info, even though he clearly could have. He was going to come out on a Sunday on a holiday weekend. That would be at least $200. He said the unit was defective and under warrantee. I didn't feel it was right to pay for a service call -- since it was installed less than 6 months ago. We used your method, FIXED it! Called the tech to cancel the appointment and told him how we found a solution. He acted like "wow...uh... really? the code is 1234? der der der der" We didn't confront him, because what is the point? But will never ever call them again. If you cant help your customers on the phone and then try to squeeze out a pricey service call, then you don't get our business ever again. Trying to fleece an elderly woman is just WRONG. You are our hero! You saved our holiday weekend!!!

Ok my husband is OLD school and driving me nuts with this thermostat (Honeywell T4 Pro). PLEASE tell me how to cancel all programing and just manually put the air on what we want during the day and change it at night if we desire with the +/- buttons?? We have been using it this way for over a year (new home)....and one day it just started setting at 83 degrees at night, even if we try to lower it...it stays at 83 at night (not good for living in Florida). Please help? We just want to manually set it to what we want. No set Temps at certain times. Thanks!😊

I just moved into a home with this thermostat, and im having trouble with it. When I press any of the buttons nothing happens. The screens brightness increases when I press something but none of the buttons are actually triggering a response on the screen. Any idea why that might be happening?
