  • You saw history made with the first crewed launch and docking of the SpaceX Crew Dragon, but you didn’t see the flurry of activity on board the International Space Station…until now. Join Expedition 63 Commander Chris Cassidy and his crewmates as they prepare their cameras to document the DM-2 launch, and look over their shoulders to witness the new American spacecraft dock to the station and deliver their new crewmates.

    This is the best piece of space vlogging I've seen! A pity they don't do more - I know they're busy, but hey, this footage beats the official broadcast for breakfast any day. I guess because it presents the guys, particularly Chris, as humans being real, not just parroting checklists, doing radio coms and stuff. Thanks for posting!

    It was impressive to see how precisely Chris was moving about the cabin and how much faster it is in air than when they were doing water simulations. He was also impressive in keeping ahead of the tasks and commanding resources.

      Boeing can probably do it though. They are not immune to entropy, so, even something that had every chance to not fail could still fail but in theory, they have more know how than SpaceX.

      @@jojolafrite90 Tbh the race is over. Boeing will not be able to do what SpaceX can at the cost. Their program will be sidelined for fringe projects with extremely specific needs

      with those issues Boeing has , I'd be surprised if NASA cleared them for manned flight anytime soon. We'll be flying proper sci-fi space craft by the time Boeing finish their first capsule. And that's if NASA won't ditch Boeing completely for Virgin or Blue origin or even Rocket Labs :D

      @@terrabiker They definitely will fly Boeing still. Just look at the waste of money SLS is. If the US killed the space contract w/Boeing, they'd lay off thousands and blame it on the administration

      @@jojolafrite90 In theory. Boeing’s Orbital Flight Test-2 has been pushed back all the way to August or September. The Crew Flight Test and Starliner-1 now are set for late this year or spring 2022. SpaceX’s Crew-3 will have launched and docked with ISS by then.

      I was actually gonna start arguing with this but yeah this is undoubtably the coolest job. It would be very difficult and uncomfortable, I wouldn't be able to cope, but yeah, certainly it is cool.

    Watching this liftoff over and over is so exhilarating - every time! It's so moving and I'm sure that you guys on board the ISS must feel the same... I admire the brotherhood of all the members on board!
    To think of all the animosity going on between the nations here on earth - up there you're one body - one heartbeat! God bless you all!

    Amazing audio quality compared to what we hear on the two-way radio, I'm amazed by how quiet the ISS sounds especially in the docking area. Love this video clip, please do more ;-)

    I just watched Doug and Bob flying over earlier tonight and last night as well.... Man I'm so proud of everyone involved in getting us back to the station from us soil. Good speed Space X & NASA!! Proud proud moment

    There should be another video like this. Because I know they required a lot of recording the two days after they were docked, same styled video with bundled up clips and experiments, interviews, anything Bob, Doug, & Chris have done together with a good start to the left off point ending, of this video.
