Elon's SpaceX Tour - Falcon 1, Falcon 9 and Dragon
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 тра 2024
- SpaceX CEO and CTO Elon Musk takes us on a tour of the SpaceX Headquarters located in Hawthorne, CA , just outside of Los Angeles. Once a manufacturing site for the 747 aircraft, this 500,000 square foot facility is where SpaceX now designs and builds 80% of the Falcon line.

Hello there
@@pixselious so UA-cam has actually started to recommend this again. I'm not complaining tho

10 Years Later, He successfully made a wonderful History in Space Industry. Genius Elon.
And its just beginning
Well in the American space industry

Not just Elon, he just put the money, the enginnering was made by other people
Lucky_Madrid elon is the leading engineer in SpaceX.
Nobody took him seriously back then. Damn! This man is now the most important person on earth
You mean influencial.
People and investors thought it was going to be a scam "yeah a company of rockets...sure man, go to scam other idiots"
@Digitalbumpin we'll see... many laughed at him 10 years ago, ur still
@Digitalbumpin You gotta be a troll. The man was partially responsible for paypal, then created a car company that directly competed with every big name fossil fuel company at the time...and succeeded , then started to make rockets reusable...and succeeded. IDK about you but I'm willing to listen to what dude has to say, he's clearly on to something.
@Digitabumpin sure buddy, you realize just one of the current things he is doing is bringing high speed internet to every square foot of earth, and he considers that a secondary mission. I think that alone might be tangible.
i hope this man lives forever
Don't worry. He'll end up finding the cure for death in a few years.
From his condo on Mars.
I did the math and came to the conclusion that he will live until he dies.
Most likely he will be buried on Mars :))))
That isn't very nice...
So do I
No gimmicks wysiwyg
This is a good internet fossil.
this is a good internet meme

fuckkkkk I though it was a recent video! 2010 holy shit. I wonder how are the SpaceX facilities today :D
@@MartinsDaniel This is actually from 2008. He mentions in the video that they're about to do their 3rd flight, which was in 2008 and which failed. After that they were on the verge of bankruptcy and had to scrap together another rocket for one last try. Luckily that flight was a success, or else SpaceX would have failed entirely.

May not look like it, but about 2 months after this video Elon almost went bankrupt with SpaceX if they didn't have a successful 4th flight... the 3rd flight about 1.5 months after this video failed and they only had 2 months to finish consturction of the 4th which was a success! Thank god! They have come such a long way.
Right in the margin between success and failure

Just an FYI, tomorrow on the 27th of september, SpaceX is revealing their Interplanetary Transport System thats bigger than the Saturn V rocket... Reveal should be at 1:30 pm Pacific standard time....

Was this video taken all the way back then??
+AndrinoG Incorrect. Nov 2010 was when the video was posted. At 4:30 in the video, you can clearly hear Elon explain the Falcon 1 Flight 3 rocket was at Kwajalein Atoll almost ready for launch. That launch didn't happened until August 3, 2008.

The most important man on Earth. As an engineer who stays in Pretoria South Africa myself, I am so happy that someone so important used to walk these streets I walk daily is such an inspiring thing to think about. We love you man and personally for me you are a massive hero!
WOW he knows everything going on in SPACEX
Jino T M well he basically owns SpaceX
Mclaren P1 but a lot of ceos dont know what everything is. They just say this part has to finished then, but at spacex musk knows every single detail about the components and tools.
@Aaron Silva That and he is the chief engineer
Engineers make the best CEO's and engaging UA-camrs! Go Elon, go SpaceX
Yeah as a ceo I am amazed. Ceo's usually look into finding fundings for the company, bringing people together over a project and the financial aspects. He does that alongside designing the whole rocket ( I mean maybe not the whole but he is involved in that also) . That's a very good thing for him, we need more people like Elon.
SpaceX is a remarkable company!

I thought the same! :)
This guy actually knows his shit. He’s just not the owner of space x and Tesla but he actually get involved in engineering shit up.
He is the senior architect at spacex. Because when he wanted to hire one it costed more. So he taught himself to be a senior architect
He is a physicist and has been learning a lot from his employees since the beginning of SpaceX. That’s why he really understands rockets now.
He is the ceo and lead engineer. So that a lie..
This just popped up in my recommended list in August 2020 and in the last week I’ve live streamed spacex returning crew memebers from space, flying the starship prototype for the first time and delivering 60 satellites to orbit and returning the rocket safely. That’s a hell of a lot of accomplishments not to mention all the others that has happened since this video was uploaded, they still hadn’t flown a full falcon 9 mission yet and in 9 short years they changed the space industry and mankind forever. Well done spacex you are the single most inspirational company in existence.
Who's here after the splash down of today August 2, 2020???
Привет!!
right here!!!
I’m here after crew-1
ITS AMAZING SEEING THE SIMILARITIES BETWEEN 2010 SPACEX, AND STARSHIP PROTOTYPE PROGRAM AND FACTORY.
You guys just almost landed your first Starship. It's been a wild 10+ years. Look forward to many more.
Looking back at this now it’s amazing how far SpaceX has come. Today is May 27th, the day NASA was supposed to launch two NASA astronauts on the Falcon 9 via the Dragon Capsule but was ultimately scrubbed due to weather. I hope future generations find this comment and become hopeful just how far we have come!
And now dragon is docked at the space station and it brought human beings. Amazing work!
I love his stutter
Who's here after the SN8 exploded after doing a belly flop and an amazing mission?
10 years later and now he is the second richest man in the world, you are a Genius
13 years later and he is the richest man
one hell of a playground for my boy musk
The upload date says Nov 2010 but the footage is from early 2008 or even earlier because he’s talking about the upcoming third flight of Falcon 1. It’s amazing how much they’ve grown and accomplished since then.
who would have thought that on this day Saturday May 30, he pioneered space travel
That was his plans 10 years ago, and now all that became real, the same thing is happening right now with Starship and in 10 years we'll come back to rewatch this milestone.
Today is the day Elon makes History... again.

Revisiting these videos today tells so much about Elon’s vision and ability to plan ahead. Truely an amazing company.
Wow, I guess these videos were to increase support as they hadn't had a successful launch at that point
It’s amazing how spacex has come in 10 years.
Eternal Respect for you sir, Mr. Elon Musk. I'm a Nigerian space enthusiast and I am really awed that you know the components of the spaceship from each strand of material right up. Thanks for making "rocket science" look so easy. I'm your irredeemable fan. Respect!
Elon. A nervous and enthusiastic genius, SN8 starship just lanched. You are an inspiration to many. Thanks
What a brilliant guy. We are all better off for having him around. Just think, he could be the kind of guy who is solely interested in advancing only his own wealth and power but humanity lucked out.
9 years ago, and today was the first crewed launch! Good job SpaceX! I am hyped for the future!
I just finished reading 'Liftoff!' by Eric Berger which is about this time at SpaceX. Now understanding what was going on at this time, I can see the stress on Elon in this video. Amazing time in history!
Just finished reading flight 3 chapter so this video was recorded not much before SpaceX most difficult times.
I love his aggresive nod after he finishes talking
Here after the launch of crew dragon
Just witnessed history today
Although posted 2010, this tour series is from 2008! The description should have stated it. Around 4:45 he talks about the upcoming 3rd 4th and 5th launches of Falcon 1 which puts this video in early spring 2008
9 years later space X is the leader in space exploration with the safe return of the demo 2 mission and the successful hop of Starship SN 5 in Boca Chica TX, no way did Elon imagine this is where he’d be when thinking about it back then. Absolute legend
The way me moves his head after he's done talking, humble guy
This man is out of this world!!! How can one person get such a brain!!! Amazing!
Sincerely, thanks UA-cam for recommending this to me after their successful Demo-2 mission. To see a little bit of the behind the scenes and to see how far they’ve come is incredible.
Ten years later and SpaceX is killing it.
Love these older videos of Elon showing his excitement for all things space exploration tech
We need a video like that about de starship building.
How very far you have come - would love you see what it all looks like now! Congrats!!
Think how he is now and see how he was then. He is the inspiration of this time.

Look at him now 🤟🏼 he progressed so much .

Ridiculously impressive
Interesting that this was filmed in very uncertain times for Spacex. This was before the fourth Falcon 1 launch. The three previous launches failed. They were really close to folding during this time.
Today he is exactly where he imagined, he will be in 10 years .

he is so nervous lol.
Spoken like a true nerd. He’s awesome.
Nothing wrong with it either. Introversion has lead him to learn crazy amounts of information by himself which in return lead to all his amazing companies. If nervousness is the main tradeoff then I don't think he really cares. Speech impediments aren't funny either..

he built all of this from reading textbooks, no degree. let that sink in...
Don't forget to give credits to the experienced engineers and other technical experts he hired. Reading books is not enough to build a rocket. The collective inputs of experienced professionals and technicians matter as well.
@@69erone-half50 for sure
@@69erone-half50 but the first successful flight test of rocket, he did that himself as he says no experienced chief engineer's wanted to join him because of his first 3 launch failures.
Well, to be fair, that's not exactly right. He has two 4 year degrees; one for physics at Queens University, Canada and one for economics at University of Pennsylvania. Later, he was accepted at Stanford to work on his PhD in particle physics but dropped out after a week to create an internet banking company (x.com) that eventually merged into PayPal.
