Octopuses are very highly intelligent creatures. Just like dolphins. Their behavior and problem solving skills is amazing. How he first sliced that octopus you can clearly see the pain as he curled up so tightly. They have many brain cells, all their tenticles. This is so so sad to watch.
Intelligence does not stop something from being eaten by humans. Affectionate relationships and/or usefulness do. Like we don't eat our pets nor do we eat animals that serve to work (like farm dogs).

One thing the guy did to put it out of his misery faster was cutting the head off. Once the head is off, it takes a second to die. Once it does, it still has nerves going.
Yeah, why does it suck that it was alive? It's a quicker and more ethical slaughter than, say, suffocating it or boiling it alive. Also, once the nerve has been cut, it doesn't feel anything any more. Just because it moves doesn't mean it's alive.
Atleast they didn't boil it alive and this a more ethical way to kill an octopus because at most, at MOST it would have experienced just 2 seconds of pain before it died.

It’s incredibly hard to immediately kill an octopus of this size. What these talented people were doing was one of the quickest ways to do the animal in so it wouldn’t continue to feel pain in the cutting process, it’s not nearly as “Inhumane” as people may think. The U.S. has slaughter houses that cut an animal’s throat while they’re still conscious to let bleed to death, hanging upside down first before cutting it up. Smh, They still give more respect to the animal by using every part of the damn thing too instead of throwing away whatever they don’t want.
This is not cruel, its really look natural beside we're not barbaric as for now just like before biting them alive.. And they're chopped off when we eat them so i don't feel sorry for these octupus instead they'd make crave and full stomach i'm very glad from who upload this video. I'm really thankful.

I feel sorry for the poor octopus,being cut in pieces while alive...That man is supposed to kill it first before process it. Am I wrong?
Well basically thats how you kill an octopus cut the head...even if you lets say "shoot him the head" the body will still move like its alive probably the head too(btw tentacles have a complicated nervous system). In other words octopuses are pretty complex organisms.
Basically each of octopuses tentacles has it own brain thats why even tho you cut its head off theyre still moving....

It’s incredibly hard to immediately kill an octopus of this size. What these talented people were doing was one of the quickest ways to do the animal in so it wouldn’t continue to feel pain in the cutting process, it’s not nearly as “Inhumane” as people may think. The U.S. has slaughter houses that cut an animal’s throat while they’re still conscious to let bleed to death, hanging upside down first before cutting it up. Smh, They still give more respect to the animal by using every part of the damn thing too instead of throwing away whatever they don’t want.
