This was a very interesting match to watch. Each guy, taking his time and both playing very strategic games.
I really appreciate you sharing this video with the excellent commentary. Referencing where each player hits cues up and hits the cue ball as well as their (and your) thought process is very beneficial to the viewer. Also a huge thanks for editing the slow play. Please keep these types of videos coming. Thanks again!
Great commentary! I love it when the commentators explain to the viewers what the players are probably thinking, the spin they’re going to apply (and why) and the results of their shots before they are even taken. I certainly learn much more when I have such incredible information flowing into my brain. Earl does his commentary the same way. Nice job Bryan!
Glad you enjoyed! Thanks for watching Hatter.
Thanks for describing the English used on the shots,it’s very helpful. Earl Strickland is the only other commentator that does that and makes the game more interesting.
I always enjoy this type of commentary. You did a really good job, but I don't think Earl is ready to give you his seat!!! I actually liked your description of what the vid is about. It did exactly what you said it would do. These videos help me develop my thought process at the table. I compare MY choices against theirs. I make the same choices they do more times now than I did in the past and I credit videos like this for my improvement. When we make different shot choices, sometimes I think my way was better, but most times I have to say they make better choices than I do.
Love the shot by shot play. Along with thought process, and added fore site. Not sure about my punctuation. 😁 But very much appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you for another great lesson.
Thanks for your comments Scott
Love your commentary. I learned a lot :-)
Thank goodness you edit it. Cant stand watching videos without shot clock. Great commentary Bryan..
Would be really cool if you could do a commentary on Siming Chen. Pure art when she plays.
I’ll have something for you within the next couple weeks.
Shane is one of the best pool players in the world. It's painful to watch him fall apart in a match. It happens to all if us at times but you always think it doesn't happen to players the quality of Shane.
If you want to play at a high level you have to start knuckling down and really thinking about what you do before you do it. This is the world number one championship so these steaks are very high so neither one of them want to make a mistake. If you want to play at a high level one you have to have patience play as many defenses as you need to and just play smart.
8:40 i think his biggest objective was taking the 3-9 combo out of play. Because with the 9 in front of the 3-ball the game was a race to the 3-ball.
You are correct! I did not notice it until the second time I watched it and had already done my voice over. But either way, it was a very smart shot, not to just undo the combo but to try to cluster them at the same time. Thanks for watching.
@@FXBilliards yeah I understand your main points just that they didn't directly apply to this particular shot. And point well taken as well as I will now look for this opportunity the next time I get hooked. Basically leave the table in the worst way possible for a run out.
I was supposed to be playing 9 ball tonight but my captain didn't tell us until late and I didn't go. Instead I'm learning strategy from a you breaking down a match between two greats.
Excellent commentary! You should consider this line of work on your off time.
First of all I want to say I'm no Shane van boening fan however when they say the best player doesn't always win in this case he definitely looks like the better player to me I don't care what anybody says however this reminds me of when Efren couldn't win the US Open for the longest time number 2 behind Nick Varner for the world rankings everyone knew efren was the number one player however you got a points system I guess for rankings and at that time the best 9 ball player. Was Buddy Hall I'm only going by tournament play body probably was the best 9 ball player ever.
Brilliant commentary... Btw can you pls do a tutorial on the 3 rail position shot that you were talking about which you teach your students ?
Here is one I already did. ua-cam.com/video/hAx_58GmqT4/v-deo.html
Can't help but notice it's not rack your own and SVB is struggling to make balls on the break. Shocker...
It's the 9 on the spot. That reduces balls on the break a lot for all players. The wing ball is no longer automatic. Thanks for watching.
2 rails and in.
1:07:48 , you mean left english ?
Correct, he used left. Thanks!
when was this
It was in 2016. Thanks for watching Trip

He is a very good player, currently ranked around 7 in the world. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comments.
