      About the 4:00 mark one of those "best announcers" praises Shane for his "power shot" that he hit at slow speed saying, "not every player could accomplish that shot". That ridiculous comment combined with those obnoxious heart rate monitors did it for me. Im outty ! And I hope you were joking about the competence of the commentating. Either way it's all good. Cheers.

    I don’t think it was the best match of 2019 as you say in the description. Might be the worst one for SVB actually. Zelinski should have won here, too many mistakes by Shane. If he played like that at US open he would have been crashed by the likes of Ko brothers, Chang, Jayson etc. Not surprised now Filler beat him 10:1 at the last Mosconi. Anyways Zelinski I think will become a good player soon, still very young. I’d love to see him play against Gorst.

  • @BladeRunner-td8be
    @BladeRunner-td8be 3 роки тому +2

    PROGRESSIVE
    Back in the 70's they hooked up heart rate monitors for professional bowlers on TV. A guy by the name of Dick Ritger was being monitored for everyone to see. Either the monitor was malfunctioning or he was as cool as a cucumber can get during competition. I remember it was a low rate and almost unchanging no matter how much pressure he was under. Those heart rate monitors didn't last long in professional bowling "for some reason".
    I am against them due to the fact that they take away from the action on the table and also use up precious screen space on my monitor. It's nothing but a distraction to me and the commentators actually comment the pointless contraptions. heh I could care less what their heart rate is. lol Cheers

    A great match need not mean everyone shot great - it can mean solid shooting with some drama. This had that. Zielinski is definitely one to watch. Shane may have been off some but, sheesh, his heart rate went DOWN on several clutch shots - like a marksman. Honestly, Earl spoils me in the commentator booth, no offense to these well-qualified contributors.

  • @danrion8839

    I wonder if these commentators played pool before. Those players are professionals and they are treating them as Rookies. "What a great shot" when it's regular shot for pros.

    I'm back after a month and I just watched two 9 ball matches race to 11 between SVB and Johann Chua and Manny Perez. Johann was ahead 2 to 0 and Manny was behind 0 to 9. Why did Shane go on the hill 10 to 2 for Johann and 10 to 1 for Manny? Answer: Because it was winner break and Shane was able to run many racks both times. If it had been alternate break, both Johann and Manny would have had no chance, none, not any, to come back and win. Even if the score for Johann or Manny was 6 to 2 they still would have no chance to win with alternate break. But with winner break, at those scores, they could very much win by running racks like Shane did. Alternate break is like watching two pro-bowlers playing alternate frames if that were possible. Neither bowler could even get a double. How boring would that be to watch? A great excitement in watching bowling is seeing 5 or 7 strikes in a row. It's the same for pool to see a string of racks made. But the main part I don't like is when the focus isn't on the skills a player has to play the game. Rather, it's on the mistakes a player must make playing the game. This is the only way Sanjin could win. Josh must make mistakes which likely won't happen. This is real bad for the game. Where do contributions come from to support these matches? It doesn't come from the players. A good part comes from the fans who want to see exciting matches and I remember exciting matches for “quite some time.” I haven't remembered a single alternate 9-ball match for a long time. Winner break is traditional 9-ball played for centuries and the fairest way to play the game of pool. Alternate break is something new made by small thinkers and is the least fairest game of pool.

  • @dannyberkabile265
    @dannyberkabile265 3 роки тому

    If it's winner breaks, why did Shane break after ZIELINSKI won the rack making it 2 to 1? I wanted to see ZIELINSKI run a few racks. This is not winner break because they keep alternating and on a race to 10 is insane. It makes as much sense as pro-bowlers alternating shooting frames so neither one can even get a double. It literally ruins this match.

      Illegal break. You need to make or get three balls back into the kitchen. He made the 2 and got the 7 back there so only 2 balls. Other player has the choice to shoot or let the guy who broke shoot again.

    The first 4 minutes of the video and I’m seriously furious with 2 things
    1- Shane made a wicked nice shot, carom off the 8 to make the 2 and power drew the cue ball all the way to the end rail. And the god damn commentator did not even acknowledge that. Focus on the match please !
    2- When Shane was shooting a shot, a stupid guy right in front of him in the audience had to feel the need of taking his phone out and take a photo with FLASH ON. Seriously, how stupid can you be ??? Respect the player please !
