You know, you have to wonder how fucked the inquisition is when a bunch of genetically enhanced super soldiers who spare no excuse to spill the blood of anyone say, "you know, this might be a bit excessive".
The salamanders aren't the average post-human supersoldiers, they actually give a shit about the people they were explicitly created to protect. almost every other chapter seems to have forgotten or flat out ignored that particular piece of information.

Mortarian needed to get rescued too, and strictly speaking Perturabo didn't control his planet either, his adoptive father did..
Then Alpha just ended up on Terra and Omegon on an uninhabited planet before some pirates showed up and he stole their ship.
Angronn didn't even get close to conquering his world. He was captured, recaptured multiple times, got out and started a rebellion, but it went so bad that when the Emperor showed up, he had to teleport him onto his ship after previously refusing his help, and he was literally surrounded by all sides with his allies, who were all cut down after he disappeared. When he finally became an actual Primarch, he literally had nothing to his name but the Butcher's Nails forced into his skull.
He may not have been the only to need saving, but he couldn't even avoid being used for most of life, where others would've either became an important figure, or at least be so terrifying that nobody would mess with him, but he spent his life as a lowey slave fighter.
Hm...I need to contact my Cousins in the Space Wolves Chapter now...I have a few questions about the Inqusition they may be very good at answering..

Arch there is one use I can think of for Angron's Warhounds during the Great Crusade beyond letting them rot in the rear lines: Orks, when Orks are found throw them at the Orks and watch them both die. When the last Ork is dead and the Warhounds have been slaked, pick them up and send the Salamanders in to wipe out the spores.

"The Emperor's Gift" is my favorite Black Library novel. By far, actually. It's the story of the final battle Armageddon and the months of shame, with some prelude, from the point of view of "young knight Hyperion", himself. Amazingly well written stuff.

Lassi Kinnunen well judge death didnt have to face Psykers, Inquisitors, Grey knights, Space Marines, Imperial Guards and the local PDF.

I love both these universes but Dredd doesn't even come close to a Standard Adeptus Arbites. If he were trained in 40k i think he'd make a badass inquisitor. Inquisitor Eisenhorn is *loosely* based off Judge Dredd according to dan abnett who writes 2000AD comics...

Considering that planet is Old Gaz’s favorite vacation spot, I would see him taking that as a personal fucking insult and/or just another reason to go back, and he would immediately leg back to Armageddon as fast as possible with the biggest WAAAGH!!! He could muster. Ol Yarrick, realizing how bad this is, would call for his old friends in the Blood Angels, Salamanders, and others that had assisted in the previous wars for help. When the Orks finally show back up I see it becoming a three way fight with, probably to the confusion of all but Yarrick, the Orks favoring fighting the bugs instead of the squishy hummies . After all, Nids got huge teef. More teef more money to buy more stuff with in Ork society. That, and I doubt the Beast of Armageddon will let anyone but himself and himself alone take the glory of conquering that planet and finally killing his best friend/enemy Commissar Yarrick.
The Chaos invasion of Armaggedon is like Tianenmen Square, you can find hour long videos about it on UA-cam, still doesn't mean it happened.

16:20 don't forget the matter of ventilation. Keeping such a huge structure with so many people ventilated probably requires a fair amount of power and machinery. humans need oxygen after all. And I suspect the Imperium can be somewhat lax with regards to maintaining these things in even the best of times so in a situation like with with power outages and fires, well you could have whole hab blocks suffocating to death.

It seems to be a general problem with the followers of Khorne.
They are often incapable of tactics, charge in as mindless beasts, and usually punished heavily for it.
The World Eaters are often beaten even in 1on1, which you'd think would at least be the one thing they'd be good at, but no.
And let's not even mention the fact that Khorne followers frequently kill their own, driven as they are by their psychopathic urges and a desire to please an impatient god of endless murder. Oh, and then there's the fact that no matter how rare and precious we might think a Space Marine's life is for the loyalists, a Chaos Space marine is even more precious and rare to the forces of Chaos, yet the murder-rate between astartes in the eye of terror is through the roof, usually thanks to Khorne's followers.
I'm not going to speak for Khorne's position among the four chaos gods, but it seems that of all the followers of the Chaos Gods, the follower's of Khorne are by far the weakest.
They got some decent individual fighters, but they suck as a planet/galaxy conquering force in mass-scale warfare.
Abbadon was able to repeatedly bypass Cadia and its defense fleets. Angron would just charge at it.

Khorne followers fair really bad in the galactic chessboard but i bet that in Warhammer Fantasy, where few factions have gunpowder, they are probably among the deadliest enemies you can face

Would you consider doing video on Dreadnoughts? I love the concept of almost dead space marine still fighting in this monstrous machine. There is a lot to talk about i think, for example, are dreadnoughts capable of thinking like they did, before being locked in this armor? How long can they go on like that? What kind of weapons do they possess? I am most interested about what is going on in the mind of space marine who now has to live as dreadnought.
I’ve played space wolves against a chaos army. Long Fangs with frag missiles into cultists is just as hilarious in tabletop as this video makes it sound.

Thank you for telling this story... We, in the Vlka Fenryka, are always painted as unfeeling or craised savages who don't care about the little folk we fight for. All we tried to do was prevent the shitting hell fire of the bastard inquisition from committing genocide on the Armadeddr-yaggr' Folk. We had no way of knowing they were Malificarum.... We still did the HUMANE thing... But we recognize our failings.... Until next Winter.

Some years back, GW produced a strategic-scale boardgame called Chaos Attack, replaying the First War for Armageddon (an expansion of their Battle for Armageddon game, which replayed 2nd Armageddon). In this game system, a single counter would represent an entire Space Marine Chapter, Titan Legion, Imperial Guard Army, etc, with a maximum of three counters occupying one province. Chaos Attack gave the Chaotics two units-worth of World Eaters, and the Imperium three units-worth of Space Wolves, making me inclined to estimate their numbers at around 2000 World Eaters and 3000 Space Wolves.
The vast majority of the Chaos player's units (and thus, fighting strength) came in the form of other forces: 7 Chaos Warbands, 12 Chaos Cultists, 4 Chaos Squats, 3 Beastmen, 3 Minotaurs, 3 Trolls, 4 Daemon Hordes, 2 Daemon-engines, the Death's Heads Titan Legion, and 6 assorted Beast-rider units. Evidently, Angron placed far more faith in the capabilities of these forces than Arch does.
