Orks don’t even speak English or this broken English to each other so writers might as well just write it proper making it so much better to read and let readers imagine their tones, like…most other writing of aliens speaking.
It would be really fun to have a fps survival horror where a mortal kasrkin or cadian wakes up on a space hulk trying to escape before the hulk goes back to the warp. Proc-gen levels and permadeath, lost of jump scares with orks or gene stealers, and maybe even heresy era traitor marines or men of iron. Start with a big wrench or kreig shovel, and loot as you go. No visible timer, push your luck and be lost forever, or rush out of the hulk to ensure survival.
I love that idea! Permadeath and some form of procedural generation would really make it stressful which I'm all in for. Almost like a 40k/tarkov/dungeon crawler
bro gamesworkshop and games is hard... still wait for a dawn of war 1 remake type... I would say get monies, start company get game developers and get gamesworkshops greenlight/payoff rights etc etc. gg
I lucked out once, and found a small space hulk. A boarding effort was made, and my crew and I retrieved a partial data slate from an ancient stc. Once analyzed, it was found that it contained the complete blueprints for a slightly more efficient fork. I was repaid for my efforts handsomely with the gift of a Mechanicus GF. The emperor smiles upon his faithful.

With most channels, I see the notification pop up and add it to watch later. With some, I will add them to an appropriate playlist, organised by theme/topic. With this channel I almost always click when I see this one

I could see a space hulk becoming a bustling refugee community, similar to in Titan A.E, where instead of the shups loosely amalgamated together, they're in fact, welded and joined together permenantly into a "drifting colony," with entire generations being born, living their lives, and dying in the void between the stars.
Really like how I can fully immerse in the universe as a noble being educated by a custodes. And then go over to lutin and get a deep dive into the lore. Yeah the voice is getting emotional tone and everything now. Scripting is good too. Like every machine intelligence, good in, good out.

Even though I really like the space hulks as a concept, I was slightly concerned that I wouldn't be able to get a few of the points of lore across, but thankfully (like with most scripts), as soon as I started then everything flowed out nicely.
Thank you very much for doing this one! Despite the fact that a lot of this IP is the game, of throwing together an army of a faction, to them throw at an enemy Commander, or the hobby of collecting, kit-bashing, and painting the models, I'm predominantly a lore fan, and even more than Space Marines, the Guard, or the Eldar, my favorite are the Rogue Traders, and plying the space ways on currents of pure ambition. I like the ships, and the people involved with them, so while a Space Hulk is an unmitigated terror, hearing about them was great!
True, although all the warpy lore I've read seems to only refer to the emotional forces from our own galaxy. Whilst I'm certain a "real" warp would have influences from other galaxies, GW seems to avoid broaching on the topic of extragalactic forces. But I would also quite like to imagine ships from the other side of the universe being able to slip into our own galaxy via some funky warp travel shenanigans
I mean it's not such a farfetched idea! Based on how they appear, and grow in the lore, it would make sense for them to only grow larger and larger until they were planet sized

Yeah a dred would be good, virus bombs I might only cover as a larger part of an exterminatus video though, the bombs themselves might not be a large enough topic to go over for half an hour (although there are lots of non-exterminatus applications of them too, so maybe). The siege of terra will have to get its own long special vid, probably as a multi-part series, it's just too long of a topic to condense!

I don't understand why the Imperium doesn't have vast breaker yards especially for these. Granted you would need to have an astartes chapter and a few penal legions on hand to step in when the serfs can't work due to 'inclement xenos' situations, but each wrecked Hulk is one less to worry about
Because infrastructure like that would need to be situated somewhere, it can't just move around. And with space hulks, you never know. They are highly unstable, usually, and might pop back into the warp at any moment as far as you know, kill everyone, and pop out at another place in the galaxy... or another time. Some might float in the material world for who knows how long, completely stable. Sending an expedition to one, sure, could very well be worth it. But it isn't really possible to create scrapyards for them. Imagine having a ghost ship here on Earth, it floats on the ocean, filled with god knows what (and with who), with a set of computers and code (maybe even an AI) that you have no idea what it is going to do at what point, and which can turn into a submarine at any point, just to emerge 500 meters, of 5000 kilometers away, 5 minutes of 500 years later. Now just replace that ocean with the warp dimension filled with demons, and whom ever is on that hulk definitely not being friendly, and quite possibly numbering millions... and you start to get the fraction of a horror that a space hulk actually is :)
The imperium will Salvage those they can. But yeah they are dangerous, warp tainted, sometimes able to move on their own, enter and exit the warp on their own, and rarely are in a good position fir the mechanics to do much Salvage work.

I don't think they really fuse with asteroids, just warped metal from spaceships that mutated in the warp they don't just randomly smash into each other in outer space, they get consumed by the warp and fused together by the eldritch entities and energies to be spat out in real space

The space hulks safe enough to salvage are rarely seen in the galaxy so it makes no sense to invest in infrastructures for them.

I don't think they really fuse with asteroids, just warped metal from spaceships that mutated in the warp
they don't just randomly smash into each other in outer space, they get consumed by the warp and fused together by the eldritch entities and energies to be spat out in real space

Honestly, the Mechanicist dropped the ball on space hulks, massive electro magnets to pull the space hulk apart are not a high technology problem.
You do realize most of them are crash welded together in the warp dont you.
They cant just be cut apart.
