  • In this video I show you how to replace the fuel pump when your sending unit is still good. I didn’t put part numbers in this video because each vehicle will have its own part numbers based on its configuration.

Hello. I got a 97 ford escort wagon. I ordered my pump but it didn't come with the sock attachment or the black bracket thing you placed at the bottom of it. Am I supposed to order these separately?
(edit: I do in fact have the black rubber bottom... I guess I'll go ahead and order the fuel pump strainer) I'm very eager to replace this and get my father's car up and running again. This will be my first time ever doing a project like this.

The sock is separate, depending on who makes the pump it comes with the black isolator, that keeps the pump from making noise. If the original one is still good you can reuse it. As long as the strainer sock is new you will be ok.

Hey boss. Would this work for a ZX2? You know, different engine, maybe something changes?

@@krlos_amg to my knowledge this works with zx2 I haven’t had much time working on those however the process is the same.
