My 2 favorite men. I watch both of you regularly and thoroughly enjoy seeing history right before my eyes. Seeing you both get excited about history and your finds is great. My mind wanders thinking about the wars that were fought there and the lives lost by many of those found bullets. Thank you for explaining your finds. Oh before I go please explain in field.

I remember where I lived that people used to find muskets and civil war bullets just by walking along the road. One family had a water dispenser a quarter full of bullets they found.

An arrow passthrough on a deer is very common in bowhunting and more deadly as it leaves the wound channel open for blood loss and a passthrough also means opening on both sides (again, more lethal). I could see how somone inexperienced could make the assuption though. Thought id drop a little insight for anyone actually willing to learn.
Interesting insight, I had no idea! I guess you just never see that in the movies, huh.
@@revenevan11 Yah movies always show the classic arrow hitting with minimal penetration thing :p In all of my bowhunting ive only ever had one not make it all the way through. It certianly happens both ways but a well placed shot in the chest cavity will likely always pass right through. Even going right through ribs. Though a lot of that can depend on the poundage the bow is set to pull. In my area minimum legal for big game is 40lbs draw (thats very light but legal). Comparatively my bow is set to a 70 pound draw. As you could imagine the penetration is exponentially deeper. Sorry for rambling :p

Really enjoy the channel and your charisma. I am bothered by the
excitement of finding fired bullets but never mentioned is the fact that a soldier on either side may have died or was seriously injured by the inpact of the projectile. It would be great to have some historical background on the battle that occurred there and mention the memory of those who fought and died for their cause. His peace be with you and all your viewers.
Many bullets did not find their mark. A lot that did remained in the guys body, or were extracted. I have only rarely seen people find bullets clearly showing contact with people/animals. In my bottle club their are loads of spooky stories, but a lot of them clearly come from the Hawaiian, Japanese, Filipino and Chinese backgrounds of my friends. I respect people's beliefs, but have no spooky stories of my own. Hawaiian Historical Bottle Collector's Club. "Active digger division".

You are absolutely right about that broadhead being dangerous,they are designed to dispatch by hemmorage and even though they plow their way through the dirt they're still very sharp!
I dug 3 syringes last weekend in a rural park which shows that dangerous objects can be anywhere!

I was very surprised because in the metal detector hunting in the forest there were still treasures left, meaning that in every forest there must be coins or gold metals which are very valuable. support each other in the official metal detector channel.

That arrow, since it's broken where it is probably passed through the deer and the deer broke it when turning. Might have gotten the buck but lost the arrow. I'll always take the buck! Great video as always.
probably so . . . he might have gotten some dinner ... but it was a doe not a buck ...

Curious. Based on the number of bullets you found, did you document the direction the bullets were laying? Could that help you determine which direction folks were firing? Was there a fire fight? Etc.

FYI Most of the time a fired arrow goes completely through the animal when it is hit. Finding an arrow does not necessarily mean a miss.

Now I've dug up many bullets in my time but a civil war bullet has never been one of them. However I'm in Northern Idaho so that pretty much explains why. Lol

From that I fell in the river episode that mule shoe is a rough shod shoe for the winter time. And plz everything you pack in pack out and more. I would have taken that paint roller the can and anything else lying around. Pack out what you pack in and more. Is a good way to live and help protect the wilderness.

My most dangerous dig was 700 liquefied sticks of dynamite buried in a plastic pipe along with cans of lantern fluid
