I'm glad you guys found those silver coins but can you imagine what a loss it was for those people back in the day? my grandfather told me that in 1915 he didn't make $0.50 a day for a full-time job. can you imagine being out and about and accidentally losing a day's wage?
Man, you guys were killing it out there. I don't know what I would have enjoyed more, digging up all of those silvers or playing with that dog.
Nugget you are the only youtuber that i like that does metal detecting and i wait everyday for a new vid i know your grandpaw would be proud and you need to take him detecting again God Bless you

My imagination is pondering how much silver could be in the bottom of that well and i truly believe you should put some kind of cover over it for the safety of any animals that might fall into it maybe go get a piece of plywood and put one of those many tires on top

Juke joints and old horse race tracks are great, because they're both places where people drink and/or gamble. Anywhere that people who are loose with their money used to hang out is going to probably be good hunting!

I can't believe they are only two to three inches with all them trees around. Usually when trees shed their leaves, they build up soil fast. I'm happy they found this spot to rescue those shallow finds.

In England if you find more than three valuable historical finds in one location you must legally report the site and finds to the local councils archeology and historical department.
It's a pain in the arse but several ancient hordes have been found here in recent years, once reported archaeologists came and surveyed the whole site properly and the hordes were effectively purchased by the state to be kept in a museum.
The man who found the Staffordshire horde made literally millions for his find but as it is a find of national importance he didn't have the option to keep it in a private collection.
I found a Saxon hoard of six Edward the Confessor and not sure if I'll get them back. They are at the British Museum in the treasure process. I haven't heard anything back yet. Great find for the UK and I was glad I found them. You can watch the hunt on my channel called "Hunt of a Lifetime-Day 7-8"
@@PreacherDigger somehow i doubt that you'll get them back, it technically qualifies as a find of national importance because of the age and rarity of the find.
They have really big powers, including forced land purchase if something significant enough is found, our country is very funny about it's historical artifacts and their potential removal from the country.
That last Barber dime you dug is amazing! I've never seen one that old in that great of shape. It had to have been lost that mint year. Nice finds.
