EXACTLY... This captain is awesome. The way he treated the civilians with dignity & respect. That cap[tain understood that some people have hobbies and this is one of them. And it's always great to have civilians do this, Because as you can clearly see in the video. They found something useful to the police. I REALLY wish all captains where like this across this country. This country would be a much happier place.
That was quite a response by all those officers. So glad to see that this interaction with these officers was all smiles, handshakes, pats on the back and donuts. Too bad the victim lost his truck like this. It is good that they removed it from the river.

It's refreshing and uplifting to see the camaraderie between the LEO's and the divers. There's NO reason or justification to pop out of a car and catch attitude especially when the very folks they impugn are making the world a better place, solving crimes, and doing THEIR JOB. Hats off to all involved in this discovery and recovery!
Even though you didn't find the person you were searching for, this search was a success, any way you look at it, Britain. Looks like you're building a good rapport with the men in uniform. It can only help in future endeavors. God Bless You and the rest of the guys helping the community out, cleaning the waterways up and solving old cases of people that disappeared.
I lost it when the Captain brought outthe donuts... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 It's also good to see Gadsden PD interacting this way.. ie. Smiles and pats on the back, rather than scowls and gruff attitudes.. Props to Gadsden PD.👏👏

I´ve watched a lot of Nug´s videos about using his sonar, how it works, what to pay attention too and how to interpret what you are seeing. It is not easy, takes a huge amount of time on the water and constant education. Nug is becoming really really good at it, there will be the day when he can spot a golf ball in 50 feet of water. Nug - you the Man.
Officer 381 is an absolute unit. The Rock would turn green. This is the world of civilian/police partnership that creates safe and resilient communities.
Just something that might assist investigations of missing vehicles. As a child I remember a guy driving a car into a small creek (you can jump across the 1 foot deep water) behind my house, to dump it. As time went by.it sank into the mud. About 50 years later I was contacted by the local police about it. They had found it and wanted to know if I remembered anything about it. They found it when they built a bridge across that creek 75 yards downstream from where it was first dumped! In rivers and creeks things buried deep in mud still slowly move down them! I have seen totally buried, heavy objects, like that car, concrete blocks, and and other large and heavy objects, slowly move down creeks and streams through the years! If you investigate a sunken car or such that has been buried for decades, be sure and check well downstream. Even when totally buried in mud, they will slowly move downstream! Crazy stuff!
It only makes sense that objects that sink to the bottom of a stream or river will move downstream over time. It is the entire water column that moves downstream, not just the surface levels.
Now see, I have a problem with this. If the water was only 1 foot deep.. why, was it left there for 50 years? much less 5 days. You country boys coulda got it out. lol
This world is a better place knowing that you’re out there making a difference! I know you will keep pushing forward trying to find the missing, and I know the man is grateful for you finding out what happened to his stolen vehicle!! ☮️😌🚗
Those LEOs were awesome, I really wish ALL the officers you ever have to deal with were that courteous and professional as these fellas were. Plus, what you’ve been doing all along is wonderful, from cleaning our waterways to finding missing people. Massive respect Brit. God bless you man!
Other UA-camrs have commented on the sometimes large numbers of cops that respond. This is not due to any danger element but for gaining experience. If they're not tied down to some urgent call instead of them parked by in some parking lot just idling their motor they would be called to the scene to observe the process and gain experience. Not everything can be covered in the Academy.
Wow that was one of the best videos i have seen smiling faces , hand shakes , and doughnuts as thinking they must be looking at your UA-cam videos and seeing what your doing and showing great respect. Wow I love good interaction with cops like this. What a great video. Really shows that first responders really just want to help. Really great content.
When you're dealing with someone who had dementia or Alzheimer's they can go great distances or places you wouldn't normally think they would be. We had a lady that was supposed to be going 8 miles southwest of her home to visit her daughter. It should have been maybe a 15 min. drive. The family got a phone call from the Rochester, Minn. PD. This is 1.5 hours northwest of her home or 85 miles away. The reason she was found alive was because she had an accident going the wrong way on a one way street. So these people can drive huge distances from where they might travel normally. I heard of one man that put 600+ miles on his vehicle and had no clue where he had been. We had a man who died because he went outside of town to a local park and when he got out of his vehicle he forgot to put the vehicle in park. The vehicle started rolling and he got pinched between a tree and the car door and sadly passed right there. He only went downtown for coffee that morning just like every other morning. They knew he had dementia but didn't think it was that bad. I worked in a nursing home and these people can also 'see things' that aren't really there so can be delusional at times also. Keep up the great work.
Still love watching your videos Britain. The police were so thankful that you found this truck and I'm sure the owner would have been grateful to know where their truck ended up. It looked like it had been there a good while. Thank you for being polite to everyone you meet, it makes your videos nicer. It really feels like you now have a great team of friends who can help out.
