Need to change the name of the video. It’s not an FBI badge. It’s an Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI) badge. Although the badge was designed after the FBI badge and the first commander of OSI was an FBI agent Joseph Carrol.

My husband was AIr Force...OSI and photographer during Vietnam...he is deceased now but sure enjoyed seeing a badge as he carried. And yes..he too carried a pistol.

OSI, wow brought back memories of the day two OSI agents showed up where I was working. They wanted to make an appointment to interview me about a buddy from high school. Asked a bunch of personal questions about his character. Found out a few years later he worked in the SR71 program out of Beal AFB. Very cool find.
Security clearance background check. I put my neighbors though that once upon a time. One had a rental room on the top level of their house and it had changed occupants since I had last lived there. Met them on a trip home and they informed me that had given the nice agent a glowing review as pertains to my character. :)
Reminds me of when I took a job with the state police in a position that requires a security clearance with Homeland Security. People I hadn't seen or talked to in over a decade were calling me up to see if I was OK because LEOs kept calling them to ask questions about me.

I doubt it was the agents issued gun, its a Bersa Thunder, a decent but kind of discount Argentinian pistol. You'd expect the FBI to be carrying something other than a Bersa. Also it was first made in 1995 while the badge and ID were from 91
Yup. I’ve never known a government agency to carry a Bersa 380. I had one back in the day. An accurate but okay gun. There are many better options available though. So that confuses me.

OSI airforce, NCIS navy/marine, CID army, CGIS coast guard, DCIS - department of Defense. What i find is funny is, OSI, NCIS, and CID all share 1 office building as their headquarters, the Russell-Knox Building, with a common break room. their break room is... a dunkin donuts. in the center of the building.

I'm not sure if anyone has commented on this video. That is a US Air Force OSI (Office of Special Investigations) badge and credentials. They are actually Federal Agents (not the FBI) They are just like NCIS for the Navy or CID for the Army. I spent 20 years in the Military police rating in the Navy and worked with many of these Federal Agents in my time.

They have to wear body cams all the time but they like to throw away their body cams or delete the footage. Also, a cop telling to someone to turn the camera off even when it's not interfering with the investigation whatsoever is illegal as fuck in my state. Hell, it's illegal in the USA. Meaning that cop was breaking the law and being really sketchy. Besides, he should be used to being recorded on the job. He's supposed to have a body cam on at all times during the job.

OSI is the NCIS of the Air Force. My brother cross trained from Air Traffic control to be one before getting out at 35 years old and becoming a Los Angeles Sheriff.

It was probably the retired agent had his badges stolen in a burglary and when the thief or thieves took a look in the box and found the badges and credentials, tossed them off the bridge since this was something they could not readily or safely sell. You can be sure, the agent will be glad to get his or her badges back.

I'm now...4o ish miles from Chattanooga, hint hint, we have what seems like endless trees around us so I call it the forest. I've super cleaned it up, or most of it. Blazing trails as it were. So far, I've found handcuffs and super cool old bottles and some rusty tools. This city is former coal railroad and yes! I've found a rail !!! Boy it's heavy. Some coal, too. that badge and credentials are from an OSI agent. OSI stands for Office of Special Investigations. they are typically active duty air force and are kinda like the FBI of the Air force. they handle everything from criminal investigations within the military to background checks. they even do intel gathering overseas and state side. i have had dealings with them several times while in the service. some good, some bad, lol. mostly good though.

That was a Bersa Thunder 380 CC handgun.
While Bersa is not a horrible gun, it is not the quality you'd expect an govt agent to carry

I'd think it was either unrelated to OSI ID, or it was a personal weapon. OSI would carry a real firearm in a caliber able to cause serious harm.

It was probably the retired agent had his badges stolen in a burglary and when the thief or thieves took a look in the box and found the badges and credentials, tossed them off the bridge since this was something they could not readily or safely sell. You can be sure, the agent will be glad to get his or her badges back.

I'm now...4o ish miles from Chattanooga, hint hint, we have what seems like endless trees around us so I call it the forest. I've super cleaned it up, or most of it. Blazing trails as it were. So far, I've found handcuffs and super cool old bottles and some rusty tools.

that badge and credentials are from an OSI agent. OSI stands for Office of Special Investigations. they are typically active duty air force and are kinda like the FBI of the Air force. they handle everything from criminal investigations within the military to background checks. they even do intel gathering overseas and state side. i have had dealings with them several times while in the service. some good, some bad, lol. mostly good though.
