3 Scary TRUE Panic Room Stories

- Safe rooms (or "panic rooms") are often found in the homes of the rich and famous. When all else fails, these secure chambers might just save your life. The following three stories come from people who were forced to use their own safe rooms, and lived to tell the tale. They are all allegedly true.

This channel specialises in narrating scary true stories on many different topics: stalkers, the deep web, yanderes, ghosts, road trips, college horror stories, catfish, home invasions, sleep paralysis, hotel experiences, nightmare neighbors from hell, close encounters, dating horror stories, cryptids, skinwalkers, wendigos, all things paranormal and horrific... the list goes on. They are mostly collected from Reddit forums, 4chan and 2chan, as well as from viewer submissions. I also do the occasional creepypasta.

I've lived with drug dealer sand the like as neighbours for basically my entire life, so locking my door is kind of a non-option.
I instinctively lock my front door whenever I close it. It's led to me accidentally locking my mother out while she's smoking too many times for me to count. XD

@@pc6054 As an Australian I have had 33 near death experiences, 13 of which were on my way to school on my kangaroo, car drivers are really unpredictable on the roads, 15 were from drop bear attacks when I forgot to wear my Vegemite, and the remaining 5 were from spider rain which is a rare occasion, so spiders and insects are a much lower risk than the other animals here.
I would most certainly like to see more panic room stories in the future.

Yeah, if you take your young children to vacation in Nigeria, especially with prior experience of being in danger there, you’re not a good parent.
Honestly seemed like his grandparents were important. Security guard. Able to call the commissioner directly and be taken seriously. This is probably what made them targets since they seemed wealthy, but also probably made them feel safe because they didn't think it would happen twice to important people. If the mother's phone worked, she probably had a direct line to the commissioner also. But it didn't work. So yeah. I think it's just privilege.
That second story is some mission impossible shit.

Here I am, in January of 2021 laughing when Lazy acted like the surgical mask was out of place XD we were so innocent back then
I often wonder what kind of person feels the need to build a panic room. They;re not cheap and you have to evaluate the possibility that you'll ever use it in the future (or else why would you get one?) so it fascinates me the kind of people who get them, where they live and what lead to them getting one. Its not like someone gets one on the fly either, its usually after a freak scare (like in story one) or if you feel like your going to be targeted. If your the latter, your quality of life must be shaky, never feeling safe...you know, because you feel the fear of always being a target. How sad it must be living in constant fear :'(

The author of story 2 explains it rather well. If you have a lot of money you put a target on your back.
Story 1 makes sense since they got invaded before (and they're rich)
Story 3 makes even more sense since again they are rich and live in Thailand.
Baisically if you are rich you have to be real stupid to not have precautions or security in your home.
Its like wearing a suit and carrying wads of cash in a shady neighborhood without a gun.
If you're building a house, you intend to live there for a long time, and it is a long-term asset. What it does is give you options when shit hits the fan. What do you do when you have an armed robber or people actually hellbent on murdering you in your house? What is your strategy?
Calling the police doesn't stop them, it just sets them a timer, and even that only if you're lucky. You can have a gun ready, but that still requires someone able to use it in the house, and you need to get it ready quickly, and you need to hope that you're not outnumbered and outgunned, and risk getting shot. Considering this, a panic room with a dedicated phone line is actually quite a solid low-risk idea.

Humans are just plain selfish. Murder is okay as long as it's helping us but as soon as it causes any kind of inconvenience, it's bad. Or if there's no murder or anything bad where they live, they choose to care about other people or countries' problems. Murder isn't bad once you take away the emotional part.

This is probably the best video you've ever uploaded, every second my heart was pounding and I had a sense of relief and joy as each person is secured in the safe rooms. The last story is what shocked me the most tho. I'm so glad the kids didn't tell that woman about the wine cellar!! I was 16 when my younger brother and I fell prey to a home invasion. We were both alone and it was almost midnight when three armed robbers started tearing down our front door. My brother and I hid next to the garbage chute in the small space under the sink till our parents came home.I was always very petite for my age, but i was never more thankful for it until after that...

I really liked these panic room stories! Actually puts into persepctive why people have panic rooms in the first place, especially the way that second story went.
This is honestly one of the best videos on your channel! I'm watching this at 1am in the night time and I'm literally paranoid of going to sleep because I know I'll have a bad dream! That just goes to show how good your videos are.
The first story really reaffirms just how dreadful a break in can truly be and how scared my family and I were during our personal experiences. In fact, so many elements of the story line up with my past experiences so well that I feel the need to submit a Let's Not Meet post myself. I'll have to collect my thoughts one of these days.
