What evidence proves all Christians believe once saved always saved? Not all Christians believe that point, so to lump all Christians (by just saying Christians without clarifying which Christians) into the once saved always saved belief slot, does NOT demonstrate impartial reasoning. That demonstrates generalization and prejudice.
@@charlesclaridy8646 This verse in the KJV is translated as "evil", not chaos. "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create *evil*: I the LORD do all these things." It is sometimes also translated as "calamity", most likely to try to soften the theological implications. The thought of God directly authoring evil is a bit too much for some believers to accept.
Actually, I have a guaranteed life after this world. Christ died on a Cross so that we may know Him. Since I met Christ at age 17, I have not had even one second of doubt that I am bound for heaven - not even for a second! That is because I am continually in the presence of God. He died on a Cross so that spiritually bankrupt persons such as you and I may know the goodness of God! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.
@@kenshiloh "Since I met christ at age 17," Having such strong delusions is a form of mental illness. Religious people shouldn't get a pass on that crap.
This demonstrates an axiom I came up with years ago- “For every Bible verse, there is an equal and opposite verse”. Which basically means you can make the Bible support ANY position you want to take.
Exactly right. And that's why the Bible is a perfect personality test. It doesn't reveal who God is, but you, by the choices you make on which verses you emphasize and which ones you choose to overrule with which other ones, you reveal who YOU are.
It was quite a realization when it struck me that NONE of us actually KNOWS what lies beyond death - SOME of us have BELIEFS, but none of us really knows
Seeing is believing. Even Jesus tells us we that Faith Without Works is nothing. So Jesus is looking to "See" us do good. Yet we are to believe in that which we cannot see, just like Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, The Tooth Fairy. Even the churches use these fairy tales.
RELIGIONS and ATHEISM are NOT the "Word of GOD" but the "WORD of LIARS and DECEIVERS" and billions and billions of Jehovah's Witnesses, SDAs, Mormons, Catholics, Baptists, Methodists, Born Again Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, and Atheists turned out to be the LIARS, CRUEL, MERCILESS, and DECEITFUL spreaders and preachers of Satanic LIES, tricks, deceits, false teachings and doctrines about "hellfire", "Armageddon", "Trinity", "afterlife", "God doesn't exist", "immortality of the souls", "rapture", and "reincarnation" that clearly offend, insult, dishonor, and degrade the lives and dignities of their co-human beings including that of their own families and neighbors and cause their humiliations, sufferings, pains, griefs, sickness, and DEATHS. The BIBLE is NOT the "WORD of ATHEISTS and RELIGIONS" but the "WORD of GOD" and source of the TRUTH that GOD and JESUS CHRIST respect and value the lives and dignities of human beings and care about their welfare and LOVING, KIND, RESPECTFUL, and SUBMISSIVE persons on earth who willingly submit to the authority of Jesus Christ in their obedience to what's written in Matthew 28: 18 and never associate and make friends too with liars, traitors, cruel, merciless, and deceitful persons will definitely be honored and rewarded by the Sovereign GOD with ETERNAL LIFE and existence on earth without sufferings, pains, griefs, sickness, and death as written in Revelation 21: 3, 4 and the teachings of Jesus Christ about the "Kingdom of God" and "Resurrection of the Dead" written in Luke 4: 43 and John 11: 25, 26 are the guarantee that LOVING, KIND, RESPECTFUL, and SUBMISSIVE persons on earth who died recently and thousands of years ago like Abel, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Job, Naomi, Ruth, King David, Jesus Christ's Followers and disciples, and many others will all be RESURRECTED back to life in the right and proper time so they can happily and abundantly live and exist on earth forever as submissive and obedient subjects of the "KINGDOM of GOD" and fully enjoy the eternal love, kindness, goodness, generosities, compassions, favors, and blessings of GOD and his Christ for eternity under the loving and kind rulership, guidance, and protection of Jesus Christ as the Sovereign GOD's Chosen King and Ruler of the heavens and the earth as written in Revelation 11: 15.
The more seriously and honestly you take it, the more you start to see that it supports multiple conflicting doctrines and theologies. Believers still debate them to this day.
It’s a prerequisite it seems that you’re going to either lie about what the text says(like claiming that the only slavery that is present in scripture is “indentured servitude” where everyone gets released after a few years), or you’re going to create your own belief system where everything you don’t like becomes “allegory” or you’re going to leave it all behind or become a deist
What really grinds my gears is the arrogant snide "Well! You'll find out!" When their JOB is to make disciples, this is a veiled superiority blast from people who think they're all that when they are horrible people at heart.
- you will find out when you die and burn in t... - which means that you, my fellow mortal, haven't had a chance to find out so far. Fascinating. AFTERLife claims = The only claims where the religi0us KNOW for sure that we KNOW for sure they are lying.
I love to point out to Christians when they are in the middle of one of those gleeful little moments of hateful behavior and it always goes over so well.😂
This is the first thing that led to my deconversion. I was raided in east believism but after reading scripture I wasn’t even sure how to get saved and stay saved! It took me 4 yrs to finally realize or accept the truth. This is the most man made book. 📖
My husband is of the once saved, always saved camp and my mother is not. My atheist ass is always delighted to hear them argue over it as if it really matters. She points out that you can fall away from faith and yada, yada, yada. He pushes back and asks her how many times she's been baptized. Makes holidays interesting 😅
As someone who can say with 100%, certainty at a point in time that I was "saved," I told people about the gospel at work, risking my job. I stopped doing all the " sins " that could take you to hell. I handed out tracts on the street, I was a genuine believer in Christ. I took eternal damnation extremely seriously, all this lead me to sleepless nights, constant anxiety if I " did enough works " that day so the " faith without works is dead " verse didn't apply to me. Doubting my own salvation even though I took the bible more serious than 90% of church christians today. I began to realize that something as important as my eternal soul shouldn't be so complicated, it should be black and white. Like why couldn't Jesus appear to me like he did Paul that way I don't have my life in constant anxiety and worry that if I died tonight I would go to eternal doom. It's horrible, and I looked around and other Christians are putting on this fake " God did this for me today! " or " God answered this prayer today " while I got nothing but silence. It's horrible and ruined my mental health, salvation should be 100% clear certainty from God if it is that important which if the bible is truth it's the most important decision a person could make. The hardest thing for my deconstruction is I know I was genuine. Great video Brandon.
I think a lot of Christians don't really grasp what it would mean if their god really existed. Your very thoughts can be mortal sins. If they ain't terrified, I don't think they understand what they signed up for.
It shows to tell how powerful indoctrination is. Most humans have been indoctrinated into one religion or another, and that fact alone is terrifying. It will be a very long time until religious influences wanes..probably centuries from now.
You're 100% correct, it shouldn't be that complicated, and it shouldn't be complicated it all. Religion(s) only thrive because it is complicated, thus creates fear. We're also all under the assumption that a perfect, all knowing, all loving God foresaw all the billions of people he loves infinitely beyond our comprehension, that would end up in unimaginable eternal torment, and instead of saying "I'll just not create them", he created them anyways, knowing full well the end from the beginning, seeing exactly what would happen to them inevitably if he were to create them. That shouldn't sound believable to anyone, but that is the insanity of an assumption you're forced to make to believe this religion is true. Us in our "finite love" get absolutely shattered to pieces just at the thought of a loved one being tormented for any amount of time, we have such a strong intuition that NOTHING about that is right. I am still drilling all of this into my head to break away all of the nonsense. I really feel for you when reading your comment as I know all to well what that's like. You aren't the issue for coming to these conclusions, you were just sincere enough to take it much more seriously than the vast majority of christians ever will, and you dug deep enough to realize how flawed, ambiguous, and manmade it all is.
@@ExplodingtonIt's crazy to think that a dark thought like "I really hate my boss, I wish I could kill him" makes someone deserving of eternal suffering. It makes no sense for something so tiny to be deserving of such a horrible punishment.
Are you free of confusion? Without God, the universe is like a malicious prankster. In fact, raised by an atheist, it was the pain of this life that taught me to seek for answers. Are you content? Are you satisfied and happy in believing that your loved ones may not come home tonight, that (heaven forbid), they might be roasted alive when a gas tanker explodes next to them? Is it fun for you to watch your loved ones die, one after the other, knowing that you could be next? What about the vanity of life? I remember, as a non-believer, nothing satisfied me. I had a nice car, was in a band with a following, gorgeous girlfriend, but not the power to enjoy any of it! That is why people do drugs! It is like the pain after a surgery, drugs numb the pain, but people drink and take drugs because life itself is so painful. That said, I do not need drugs! In fact, I have perfect contentment in Christ - and I am not even in heaven yet! I am 'seated in the heavenlies with Christ.' He died on a Cross so that you may step out of your confusion into the light! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.
I've gotten the response of "wow you think about this alot" like it's a comeback. Yeah most people don't just wake up and cast off beliefs they've grown up on a whim.
It's definitely a hard thing to get over during deconversion. I'm sure most folks who have never converted don't realize deconverting is a process, not instantaneous. I had to switch to using "gods" instead of "God" to help me stop certain habits left over from my Christian upbringing.
Just think about it enough to understand what a conniving belief system of indoctrination it is. Which is usually a lot more than the indoctrinated think about it.
_I've gotten the response of "wow you think about this alot"_ Which simply means that when Brandon calls this 'the most important doctrine,' he's wrong again.
This video really hit home. I started crying as I was reflecting on my childhood and faith journey as well. I did believe for many years and was indoctrinated into the Catholic faith. I believed in God and was very fearful of what would happen if I sinned or did any wrong, and if I was doing enough to even go into heaven. I also felt this way when I decided to re-dedicate myself to Christ in highschool on my own accord. I never felt like my works, actions, ect. Would be enough or know because of things like these verses. They were very contradictory and hypocritical of one another. I also then like you stepped away and still continue to do good deeds and it feels so much less heavy and without feeling obligatory. None of which should ever but it did way more when I was christian vs now. I hope that makes sense. Another thing I always found interesting is needing to do so many service hours in highschool for religion class. When in the bible it says to not do works for others to know about them and to keep them to yourself in private. It also felt extremely contradictory. I could honestly go on and on. I went to different churches growing up and was told different things about what truly matters for salvation. It always seemed scary and like I was destined for hell no matter what. I started deconstructing a few years ago and its been a huge weight lifted off me. Your videos help tremendously.
I can so relate to your story. I hate that you went through that, but it feels so good to know that I'm not alone. I'm still kind of going through it. It's been so tremendously hard.
Sounds like you didn’t dig deep enough into the Catholic faith . I notice A lot Catholics/ orthodox deconverts didn’t really have a sound intellectual lens on these faith .
@ I actually know alot more about the catholic faith than my mother who continues to hold her faith in Catholicism. I remember all of the sacraments and teachings I was taught but was also going to two very different churches at the time. Catholic church does teach the idea of certain things arent enough and you aren’t enough alone and “need” God. It makes you stirve for a perfectionist version of yourself that can never be achieved while also God saying youll never be perfect so dont try to be perfect, but also be aware of all your mistakes so you dont make them again and again. So yes. I very much knew and do know alot about Catholic faith. It indoctrinated me from a baby and thats that.
@@fabbeyonddadancerI’m a Catholic please enlighten me because I feel similar to this person you’re responding to. After years I haven’t been able to see past the “don’t sin or else”. I feel like Catholics always allude to there being something more something grander than this mentality but yet it feels like they never care to share how exactly to make that jump to the love that casts out fear (you chose not to share your intellectual lens but instead leave it up to us to just “figure it out on our own”). I personally don’t see how someone living a normal day to day life can ever move past the threats of eternal torment if they’re not perfect. Edit- especially because living life day to day leaves little room for spending time in a chapel in adoration or praying for awhile or reading the Bible. Sure if you live like a monk then I can see how there would be no fear but that’s not the case for someone like me who has to interact with the outside world. And also I just don’t want to spend a ton of time reading the Bible anymore for the sake of my mental health.

Brandon, I'm so glad that you are in this space given your style of presentation. I think that you are quite unique in the way you deal with this religion. By systematically analyzing all of these issues you are "peeling back the layers" in a manner that should be able to show believers how flawed their belief system is. Please keep it up! Humanity sorely needs to move beyond religions.
I like a lot of other Bible critics out there, but I think Brandon is #1, over all. There might be some that do x better than him, but all things considered, if I had one channel of bible critics to watch, I’d pick Brandon’s channel for sure.
There’s no consistent idea for how to be saved, no consistent idea for what happens to those who don’t make it to heaven, no consistent idea for who can be saved, no consistent idea for what happens to those who don’t know Jesus, etc. Imagine how many people would never have left the faith if the only thing God changed about it before he made it to begin with (with his infinite foreknowledge and his ability to see exactly how things would unfold and do something about it) was making sure that Christianity was one united faith with one unmistakeable word of God.
RELIGIONS and ATHEISM produce and breed all the HATERS and MOCKERS of HUMAN BEINGS because billions and billions of Jehovah's Witnesses, SDAs, Mormons, Catholics, Baptists, Methodists, Born Again Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, and Atheists turned out to be the LIARS, CRUEL, MERCILESS, and DECEITFUL spreaders and preachers of Satanic LIES, tricks, deceits, false teachings and doctrines about "hellfire", "Armageddon", "Trinity", "afterlife", "God doesn't exist", "immortality of the souls", "rapture", and "reincarnation" that clearly offend, insult, dishonor, and degrade the lives and dignities of their co-human beings including that of their own families and neighbors and cause their humiliations, sufferings, pains, griefs, sickness, and DEATHS. Brandon, I grew up in dramatic "pentecostal" church services. Those "spooky" verses were the bread and butter of the pastors' preaching. They were the hooks that made their job matter. We were traumatized week after week.
Consider yourself one of the lucky few, as most people indoctrinated into religion live out their entire lives within the cult. Their minds have been taken.
This is what infuriated me growing up in a Boarding School with a strong Christian Ethos, I spent a good portion of my childhood either being terrified that I wasn't good enough to get to Heaven; or I should die young and then I'd definitely get to Heaven [I blame CS Lewis and the Narnia books] and the fear that I felt every time I seemed to fall short of perfection and that there would be no chance of returning to God's graces screwed me up for quite a number of years,
When i was little and still part of the church even if i didn't quite believe it, i also was seeing that the point of christianity was to die as best you could. As a kid, i thought it made perfect sense biblically to have a single person bear the brunt of the sin, like jesus, and murder everyone when they are their most sinless. Christians shouldn't have kids because it's better to have not been born at all than to live in sin and go to hell for eternity. I wasn't sure if i'd be courageous enough to free everyone from sin, then i realized that, in my desire to do the most good, i would be my most evil and i dropped the religion like a hot potato. Since hell was the absolute worst, eternal, and horrifying punishment, in my childish mind i actually thought ending the world with my own two hands to send everyone to heaven would make me their savior while still rightfully dooming me to an eternity of pain for taking on the sin of making them sinless. No expectation of redemption/rising after 3 days, either
I didn't realize this until after I deconverted, but the comparison of sheep to goats and especially the presence of the shepherd is rather messed up. Nevermind the fact that goats are as useful to us as sheep are, but what is the point of the shepherd? "To protect/save the flock," I often heard, which I accepted quite blindly back as a Christian, but afterwards, I started asking about _why_ the shepherd is protecting the flock. Haven't gotten a satisfactory answer - or any answer, really - from Christians about that one. I guess the reality of "So the shepherd can be paid for delivering the flock to be sheared and slaughtered" would not mix well with the idea of salvation. Also, as a kinda related tangent, I have heard some Christians claim that sheep are easier to work with than goats. Well, as someone who has worked with both sheep and goats, allow me to put on my best Penn Jillette voice for this: "That is bullsh!t!"
It really is a bait and switch tactic, salvation is almost always presented as a “free gift” but once you actually accept it there are terms and conditions for keeping that “free gift”, which are so vague that you can never be 100 percent sure that you ever had the said gift in the first place. I was always doubting myself because I could never do enough (lordship salvation) to be worthy of Jesus. In the end, it just causes pain, fear, and mental trauma. The carrot and the stick. Always keep trying lest you actually prove you’re unsaved.
The "you'll find out after you 💀" crowd are pure evil. They're literally talking about the worst fate imaginable for someone, and they're giddy about it. They'll look another human being in the eye and laugh. Not even because the other person wronged them in any way, but just because they had the nerve to disagree.
Agreed. If you really believed all the nonsense was true, to insist "You'll find out when you die!!" and just leave it at that would be pure laziness. As a believer, you should want to help them understand. It should be no trouble at all to lay out a a convincing array of facts that no one could dispute.
@mattr.1887 It's the giddiness that gets me. That they can face someone, imagine that person in ultimate suffering forever, and it brings them joy. It's truly monstrous.
good video in about 3/4 away through you brought up what I was gonna mention. There's passages that make it sound like if you are really a believer in Jesus you will never sin again Even Jesus forgives the sins of people and then says go and sin no more
@ yeah that's proof that either no Christian on the planet is truly saved or it's all just BS unless a Christian wants to claim they dont sin And we can add to all that how it says if you're saved or you're praying he'll answer your prayers or if two or more gather and pray for the same thing he'll answer those prayers none of that's true either lol like literally every page you turn in the Bible if you use common sense it just falls apart

One of the best things about no longer being a Christian is not having to worry about debates like this... the ones that are impossible to resolve because the book they're based on can't possibly settle the matter. Each 'side' thinks the bible can resolve it... for their own side of course. But the book is too contradictory for this to be possible.

Excellent video. You may also consider that there is no concept of salvation in the Old Testament. Odd that is this was so important, yet it isn’t mentioned in the OT.
There is the concept of salvation- but it was salvation from one's enemies, particularly the Jews claiming that God had saved them from their enemies, or asking Him to do so. As I'm sure you know, the Old Testament was concerned about earthly rewards and blessings with little to no concept of the spiritual realm or the afterlife. With that said, you are right- if salvation from Hell is so important, why would God wait thousands of years (through 77% of the Bible), before bringing it up?
Because the salvation only came through the crucifixion The catholics believe he went to hell for 2 or 3 days to preach fools out of the pit. We dont get that, but they do Even though they only suffered for a few thousand years, and get a chance out. We get eternity, no out. Balance

And despite all the confusion about salvation, they still push it on kids and brainwash them into their cult from that point on. It's so frustrating to see how confusing their beliefs are and how convoluted/contrived, and Christians just can't see it until they step away from the faith (I speak from my own experience, saved at 6 and now deconverting at 27).

Indeed, this is a widely recognized and vigorously argued topic among Christians. For a thorough overview, I would refer readers to Zondervan's "Counterpoints" series of books (up to 43 volumes as of this writing) which includes such titles as Four Views on Eternal Security; Four Views on Salvation in a Pluralistic World; Four Views on the Role of Works at the Final Judgment; Five Views on the Extent of the Atonement; Four Views on Hell; Four Views on Heaven. My take is that it's a veritable bait-and-switch, using the carrot of "free salvation" to lure people into the religion (John 3:16) but then introducing the works aspect and associated fear to keep them trapped in it (Philippians 2:12, "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling").
That's why I like to ask Christians what the rules are to get to heaven. They usually at least say you MUST accept Jesus as your savior. I know so many people who are brain damaged and CAN'T understand religion, let alone worship Jesus with all their heart. Suddenly, there are exceptions to their one rule. Lol They also argue when I say, "If you die with ONE sin on your soul then it's the fire."
I aks them what the g0d... thingie is. The g0d stuff. The something. And then they make claims about the actions and plans of the g0d... thing, never about the thing itself. F.e. "The creator of the yooooniverz!" sure. And my favourite animal is a sleeper. Eater of food. The g0d is the creator WHAT of the universe?
@@istvansipos9940 If a deity to them is what created the universe then there's a plethora of choices. Ra is a favorite of mine. There are tons of creation stories from different religions. They should pick the one they find the most interesting or make one up. It's all the same, really.
I feel like this topic can't be emphasized enough, this alone is what made me suffer very dangerous levels of traumatic stress that I'm still working to cope with & undo. Thank you for making this one, I'm tired of explaining this because of how convoluted it gets, but I will gladly use this video to send to people whenever I need to emphasize this point. And I like how you essentially said that apologetics only add to the problem. I was DEEP into the apologetics and grace-based teachings out of desperation, it seemed to clear up a lot of things, but it genuinely never fully made consistent sense - and it really was like a house of cards that you build up under this new lens of grace, but always fell apart and multiplied the confusion. They would say that verses like "No one who lives in Him keeps on sinning" meant that the writer was addressing that to our spirit selves which became perfect the moment we got saved, and that the flesh self is not the real 'us'. Things like that made a lot of sense to me, but no amount of that could rectify all of the confusion still piling up for obvious reasons, and it couldn't hide the fact that any & all of them never failed to mix various works into what they claimed was such an amazing and *free* gift.
And this isn't just a Protestant issue. In Catholicism, even with confession and communion during their life, there's last rites "just in case". In Orthodoxy, even if they act like they don't have a ritual that is functionally like last rites, they still think if you don't participate in the sacraments for a long time, your salvation comes into question. No church can really say one can never lose their salvation, because they need people to keep coming to church and tithing.
SATAN the DEVIL, ATHEISM, and RELIGIONS versus the SOVEREIGN GOD and JESUS CHRIST Satan the Devil is the Father of LIES and MURDERER of human beings as written in John 8: 44 and ATHEISM and RELIGIONS are being used by Satan the Devil to LIE, DECEIVE, and MURDER human beings because the Satanic LIES and false teachings about "hellfire", "Armageddon", "Trinity", "afterlife", "God doesn't exist", "immortality of the souls", "rapture", and "reincarnation" will definitely bring and cause the dishonor, disgrace, shame, downfall and ETERNAL DEATHS of billions and billions of Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, and Atheists while Jesus Christ is the One given by GOD all authority in heaven and on earth as written in Matthew 28: 18 and LOVING, KIND, RESPECTFUL, and SUBMISSIVE persons on earth who honor and obey Jesus Christ as their loving, kind, and merciful Master and Heavenly King and don't associate and make friends too with liars, traitors, cruel, merciless, and deceitful persons will definitely be favored and rewarded by the loving, kind, and merciful GOD with ETERNAL LIFE and existence on earth without sufferings, pains, griefs, sickness, and death as written in Revelation 21: 3, 4 and the teachings of Jesus Christ about the "Kingdom of God" and "Resurrection of the Dead" written in Luke 4: 43 and John 11: 25, 26 are the guarantee that LOVING, KIND, RESPECTFUL, and SUBMISSIVE persons on earth who died recently and thousands of years ago like Abel, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Job, Naomi, Ruth, King David, Jesus Christ's Followers and disciples, and many others will all be RESURRECTED back to life in the right and proper time so they can happily and abundantly live and exist on earth forever as submissive and obedient subjects of the "KINGDOM of GOD" and fully enjoy the eternal love, kindness, goodness, generosities, compassions, favors, and blessings of GOD and his Christ for eternity under the loving and kind rulership, guidance, and protection of Jesus Christ as the Sovereign GOD's Chosen King and Ruler of the heavens and the earth as written in Revelation 11: 15.
When I was in confirmation class long ago, I learned that we were an "always saved." So asked if that meant I could stop going to church after being confirmed.
Of the many things that caused me to loose my faith, I think one of the more subtle things that caused it was once saved always saved. Because as a kid I was told once I was saved, I was always saved, and to be saved I just needed to ask Jesus into my heart, I just... did. Because I asked for Jesus to come into my heart, I felt like I did everything I had to, and so never went as deep into the faith as a lot of other people did.
This is exactly the topic that started me down the rabbit hole into re-evaluating what I believe. The constant turmoil of what if I’m wrong? On a topic (that to me at the time) couldn’t BE any more important.
Terry Pratchett said that when we die, we lose all the necessary glands that causes us to feel anything. So it’s impossible to feel shame or pain, for example, after we’re dead, because the organs that we need to feel, lie congealing 6 feet under ground.
Is this for real? Wow, the crazy mental calisthenics Christians go through amazes sometimes. And to employ spiritual 'biology', I'll give this guy extra credit for that one.
Well what christianity, islam, and judaism, are asserting, without being succinct, is that you return to a state of pure mind, no body. So the glands are really irrelevant. How often do you breathe in a dream, unless there is water? You dont. Doesn't even cross your mind to, because you don't need to.
I had a prosthetic heart valve installed about 23 years ago. I like to think that when I die one day my body will rot and it will fall out and just lay there forever next to my bones.
@@Phoennix3 this is one of those ideas that throws such a wrench in the "you'll burn and suffer forever" scenario. Like , ummm what exactly is it that's burning there's nothing physical left.
The of the worst thing about it is this, what is sin, well thoughts are a sin and all sin is equal, Did you have an messed up OCD intrusive thought, better repent, oh your forgiven, oh you just had another messed up thought again better apologize or back to hell Its' like you can not know if you are forgiven, even if you had been, Can God unforgive you, and the worst part if you have no idea! which is very anxiety provoking
I've had my fair share of conversations about someone having "fallen away from the faith." The failsafe answer in those conversations is usually, "we'll, that person wasn't really saved to begin with." Ok, but you're only saying that now, after the fact.
Once again, it all comes down to the fact that this Religion is Man-made. I have been reading about the entire process of putting the Bible together, from Constantine in the 4th Century, to several significant alterations as recently as the 17th Century. Fascinating and revealing!
Interestingly, regardless of the answer to that issue, the parable of sheep and goats in Matthew 25:31-46, seems to imply that just because you `think` you're saved, doesn't mean you are. Conversely, that same parable seems to suggest that you don't even have to `know` you're saved, to be saved. It's one of the few little gems in the bible that make you wish it was true, just to see the look on the faces of all those people who self-righteously proclaim their salvation like a trophy they won at a high school track event.
GOD and JESUS CHRIST respect and value the lives and dignities of human beings and care about their welfare and LOVING, KIND, RESPECTFUL, and SUBMISSIVE persons on earth who willingly submit to the authority of Jesus Christ in their obedience to what's written in Matthew 28: 18 and never associate and make friends too with liars, traitors, cruel, merciless, and deceitful persons will definitely be honored and rewarded by the Sovereign GOD with ETERNAL LIFE and existence on earth without sufferings, pains, griefs, sickness, and death as written in Revelation 21: 3, 4 and the teachings of Jesus Christ about the "Kingdom of God" and "Resurrection of the Dead" written in Luke 4: 43 and John 11: 25, 26 are the guarantee that LOVING, KIND, RESPECTFUL, and SUBMISSIVE persons on earth who died recently and thousands of years ago like Abel, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Job, Naomi, Ruth, King David, Jesus Christ's Followers and disciples, and many others will all be RESURRECTED back to life in the right and proper time so they can happily and abundantly live and exist on earth forever as submissive and obedient subjects of the "KINGDOM of GOD" and fully enjoy the eternal love, kindness, goodness, generosities, compassions, favors, and blessings of GOD and his Christ for eternity under the loving and kind rulership, guidance, and protection of Jesus Christ as the Sovereign GOD's Chosen King and Ruler of the heavens and the earth as written in Revelation 11: 15.
I didn't realize this until after I deconverted, but the comparison of sheep to goats and especially the presence of the shepherd is rather messed up. Nevermind the fact that goats are as useful to us as sheep are, but what is the point of the shepherd? "To protect the flock," I often heard, which I accepted back as a Christian, but afterwards, I started asking about why the shepherd is protecting the flock. Haven't gotten a satisfactory answer - or any answer, really - from Christians about that one. I guess the reality of "So the shepherd can be paid for the flock about to be sheared and slaughtered" would not mix well with the idea of salvation (nor should it, IMO).
The sheep and the goats is an illustration and to make a point, it isnt literal. You are correct, its about self righteousness and the irony is that those who are condemning others to hell with this passage actually fall into that"Pharisee" mindset that he is addressing to a "goat" whom thought so highly of themselves and didn't care for others. So if u share that parable, the focus is actually on those that say "Huh, when did we do those things?" .. and he is talking about the generous heart they had for others that were the "least". In other words, are you kind and friendly towards all or think of yourself as better than others? That's the lesson i take away, but i guess it comes down to interpretation✌️
The goats and sheep parable is one that (from my experience) is mostly ignored. Again, I am speaking from my limited experience with the church of christ, but they did almost nothing for anyone outside of their own doors, and even what they did within was quite limited. They mostly squirreled their money away claiming to be good shepherds, which is just another example of finding whatever verse you need to rationalize your views.
@@Jake-zc3fk exactly what im talking about, inward focused.. a "goat" mentality. It kinda reminds me of a small group i attended that shared prayer requests from everyone around the room.. and these were Christians with decades of experience and "superior" knowledge of the bible. Almost every single one was either directed towards themself, a loved one or a friend.. never about the poor, less fortunate, "enemies", or other religions. And that's when i knew it wasnt good fit for me.. and thats when i noticed most Christian churches are the same way.. protect those within and if someone rejects Jesus then we reject them, the opposite of "Godly" love✌️
When i started questioning why I still believed that reason of only believing to not go to hell is one of the things which came up. So i started looking for other reasons, eventually i stopped believing because every book, pastor, and even going through the bible, could not give me a better or deeper reason to keep believing or staying with the faith. I had other things i was questioning which only confirmed for me i didnt need to believe anymore, but that was one of them.
I enjoyed the video. We got to see how you reason. I was a 5 point Calvinist for my decades as a believer. I saw the works-based contradictions in the Bible, but I shrugged them off as nonsense. It was a combination of logic and wishful thinking on my part. I thought, "If even 1% depends on me, I will fail. Therefore, I throw myself 100% on the mercy of God." It was a practical decision to believe the "doctrines of grace" rather than the Arminian heresies.
GOD WANTS all human beings to submit to the authority of Jesus Christ as written in Matthew 28: 18 and be LOVING, KIND, and RESPECTFUL to each other so they can bring themselves honor and his favor and reward of ETERNAL LIFE and existence on earth without sufferings, pains, griefs, sickness, and death as written in Revelation 21: 3, 4 but Jesus Christ's authority and the lives and dignities of human beings are clearly of no worth, value, and importance to billions and billions of Atheists, Jehovah's Witnesses, SDAs, Mormons, Catholics, Baptists, Methodists, Born Again Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, and fanatics of all kinds of Religions who are all unbothered and just don't care even if their Satanic LIES and false teachings about "hellfire", "Armageddon", "Trinity", "afterlife", "God doesn't exist", "immortality of the souls", "rapture", and "reincarnation" bring them dishonor, disgrace, shame, and cause their own downfall and ETERNAL DEATHS and humiliations, degradations, sufferings, pains, griefs, sickness, and DEATHS to their own families and neighbors but nothing has changed, the TRUTH remains that HUMAN BEINGS will really LIVE and EXIST on EARTH FOREVER because the teachings of Jesus Christ about the "Kingdom of God" and "Resurrection of the Dead" written in Luke 4: 43 and John 11: 25, 26 are the guarantee that LOVING, KIND, RESPECTFUL, and SUBMISSIVE persons on earth who died recently and thousands of years ago like Abel, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Job, Naomi, Ruth, King David, Jesus Christ's Followers and disciples, and many others will all be RESURRECTED back to life in the right and proper time so they can happily and abundantly live and exist on earth forever as submissive and obedient subjects of the "KINGDOM of GOD" and fully enjoy the eternal love, kindness, goodness, generosities, compassions, favors, and blessings of GOD and his Christ for eternity under the loving and kind rulership, guidance, and protection of Jesus Christ as the Sovereign GOD's Chosen King and Ruler of the heavens and the earth as written in Revelation 11: 15.
'God doesn't owe you anything' has to be one of the most hOrRiFyInG things I've ever heard. And the questions it raises about the wrongs dealt to that person in life😞...
I’ve never understood how Christians aren’t in a constant state of anxiety because they will most likely, undoubtedly, be going to hell. There are so many rules in the good book I see Christians break on a regular basis and my jaw drops. If I believed in this crap, to my core like they say they do, I would be living VERY biblically. Makes me think they don’t really believe it. Like it’s all a Jordan Peterson game of “I believe… just in case.”
Growing up my parents would often comment on the death of non-Christian people with horrific jokes or comments about how "they found out now." it's honestly sickening to think about them celebrating someone arriving to eternity in conscious torment. If Christians really believed that horse shit about hell then all of them should do nothing but spend their time trying to save everyone else from it. But they don't, withe because they don't really believe, or because they don't care.
Classic traits of a cult. They are too indoctrinated to realize their sectarian ways. Faith-based dogma in the supernatural sphere makes it all the more dangerous, for obvious reasons. Their repetitive Pascal's Wager is nauseating..they say "they found out now", but we say "if they only knew" (of their fallacy).
I was raised as a Southern fried baptist. Took me until middle age to recover. I read something in the Dhamapada that was really helpful. “Hatred can never overcome hatred; love alone can. This is an unalterable law.” That’s the moment I realized no one has a monopoly on truth.
I don't know how anyone could claim to KNOW they are saved before they're dead. It seems to be an excuse for bad behavior, and if you're saved just for believing you don't actually have to be a nice person, which fits with most Christians I see and interact with online.
The worst part is that, if you accept Calvinism's premise that only an elect few would be saved, what's the point of getting more believers than that number? Do you really don't trust God's plan enough to want more, just to hedge the numbers, or are you uncertain that the ones in your ranks are indeed saved? Universalism becomes more believable than the idea that only an arbitrary amount of people can be saved.
Yeah, that's one of my major "point outs" to Christians. Am I "saved" for believing, even if I'm a murderer? Am I doomed to burn in hell, _despite my good works,_ if I don't bow to the Lord? (Funny how many Christians also don't realize that there are _zero_ contemporaneous, first-person, eyewitness accounts of the seminal event of their religion, the Resurrection. Only decades-old hearsay.)
Exactly. Christians get very confused when they try to convert me. They'll say things like, "What are your vices? Too much drugs? Partying a bit too hard? Sleeping around?" And I say, "Nah. I'm a virgin vegan socialist who is learning game design so I can make games accessible to blind gamers. I don't drink or do drugs, either." Then they pause....then proceed to tell me how I'm still going to hell because I'm an atheist. 😂
One explanation I've heard is that a "true" Christian wouldn't do horrible things, and therefore someone who does horrible things is a "false" Christian. It's a pretty common tendency I see too, such as when they address denominations that disagree with theirs too much.
Idk how relevant this is, but one of the things that helped me make it out was learning more about anthropology, zoology and paleontology. My gut, my instinct, had always told me that we humans are also just animals. We’re the smartest of all animals, but that’s part of the problem, isn’t it? Smart brains are inventive. I looked around and watched other animals die, and I had never been taught that the rabbit my cat caught and killed was going to any heaven. Nor the cat. We are so inventive, and capable of figuring things out. We figured out that the primitive human, hearing a rustling in the grass, was more likely to survive if they believed a lion was there and ran, than the one who shrugged it off. This led to/fed imagination. (Probably didn’t explain that well but I’m no scientist.) So my instinct (the one that’s supposed to be connected to and drawn to gods) told me, nope, I’m no different than my pet rat and we’re going to the same place when we die-into the Earth. And, no mental gymnastics required
Yeah, same. People put so much emphasis on how "no one knows!!" and "we can't know for sure what happens after we die," etc...while having no problem assuming that all other animals cease to exist after they die. Why must we be any different? Why would our existence after death be any different than our existence before birth? I have billions of years of experience when it comes to not existing...and I practice that experience every night when I lose consciousness. 😅 So yeah I think I actually have a fairly good grasp on what will happen after I die. I'll go to sleep and simply never regain consciousness. Why would the terms suddenly magically change once everything I use to experience fleeting hours of consciousness disappears? Once death has destroyed all the mechanisms that allow me to regain consciousness each morning? The only reason I was able to wake up when I initially did in the first place?
Excellent analysis of a long-standing problem. And a crucial one. As a teenager and sporadically through my adulthood, I lost a lot of sleep over this issue, tormented by dread and doubt.
As a believer I used to believe in “once saved always saved”, but as an Agnostic Atheist I’m pretty much indifferent. I do however want my Christian friends to think I will someday come back the God and the faith. I want them to believe in “once saved always saved” just so they are nicer people. They honestly just want you to be in “fear” of burning in hell. They don’t want you to actually venture outside of the faith. They want your obedience and under their control. Basically it’s mind control and gaslighting.
Need for assurance of salvation was part of what drove Martin Luther. It is entirely up to God who is saved. We cannot know for a certainty how to be saved. Christians want to live in faithfulness to God. This is a narrow path as we deny our own will. Christianity is not fire insurance despite what some Christians say as a sales tactic. I have been saved, I am being saved, and I hope to be saved
I remember how important this concept was in my deconstruction. It was such a muddy concept. You’d think god would’ve made it super clear. But let’s not forget, salvation mechanics aside, in Matthew 25 it says that anyone who doesn’t feed or clothe the poor will be cast into the fire 🤷♂️
In a way i think of it as " Future faking," from a very toxic relationship i was in. I only wanted to see the good things and looked to the things he would say(though he would say the opposite later) i held on to the lies. Fear kept me there.
People rarely agree on a abroad range of topics. To me this is proof all religions are manmade. If they were made by an omni-deity everyone would be in agreement on one religion only.
I grew up in the church of The Brethren and their work around was, you can't lose your salvation, but if you sin habitually or lose your belief is because you were never a true believer, eeven if you were sincere, you were sincerely mistaken. They kept telling us to examine ourselves, and if someone didn't follow their rules they'd say it was evidence the person was not really born again. So it was not works based, but to prove that you were really saved you had to satisfy them that you were behaving the way they wanted you to. There was a lot of fear mongering on the pulpit about people who would be left behind or find themselves in hell for being wrong about their condition. Basically, god and Jesus don't fail, but you may fail in understanding, sincerely believing or even truly repenting from your sin. It keeps you there, beholden to them for your salvation, while claiming it is up to you. Toxic and abominable.
The problem I have with religion is when people use it to harm others in ANY way (physically, psychologically ...) I don't care what your sacred "beliefs" are, once you start to hurt and oppress others you and your "beliefs" can shove it and no, I don't have to respect them.
The Father of LIES and Murderer of human beings is Satan the Devil as written in John 8: 44 and billions and billions of Atheists, Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, and fanatics of all kinds of Religions turned out to be the "HATERS and MURDERERS of human beings", obviously the slaves of Satan the Devil and spreaders of Satanic LIES and false teachings about "hellfire", "Armageddon", "Trinity", "afterlife", "God doesn't exist", "immortality of the souls", "rapture", and "reincarnation" that clearly offend, insult, dishonor, and degrade the lives and dignities of human beings and cause their humiliations, degradations, sufferings, pains, griefs, sickness, and DEATHS. The BIBLE is clearly opposed and against RELIGIONS and ATHEISM simply because GOD and JESUS CHRIST respect and value the lives and dignities of human beings and care about their welfare and LOVING, KIND, RESPECTFUL, and SUBMISSIVE persons on earth who willingly submit to the authority of Jesus Christ in their obedience to what's written in Matthew 28: 18 and never associate and make friends too with liars, traitors, cruel, merciless, and deceitful persons will definitely be honored and rewarded by the Sovereign GOD with ETERNAL LIFE and existence on earth without sufferings, pains, griefs, sickness, and death as written in Revelation 21: 3, 4 and the teachings of Jesus Christ about the "Kingdom of God" and "Resurrection of the Dead" written in Luke 4: 43 and John 11: 25, 26 are the guarantee that LOVING, KIND, RESPECTFUL, and SUBMISSIVE persons on earth who died recently and thousands of years ago like Abel, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Job, Naomi, Ruth, King David, Jesus Christ's Followers and disciples, and many others will all be RESURRECTED back to life in the right and proper time so they can happily and abundantly live and exist on earth forever as submissive and obedient subjects of the "KINGDOM of GOD" and fully enjoy the eternal love, kindness, goodness, generosities, compassions, favors, and blessings of GOD and his Christ for eternity under the loving and kind rulership, guidance, and protection of Jesus Christ as the Sovereign GOD's Chosen King and Ruler of the heavens and the earth as written in Revelation 11: 15.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts in this video! Having spent many years 'wrestling with God' over trying to understand what theology he devised and why, it has more recently occurred to those in the conditional security camp, whilst giving out many warnings that "you might not make it if you have too much sin..." are never SPECIFIC about what you ACTUALLY HAVE TO DO to remain saved. They might say you must "continue to walk with the Lord," "abide in his word," remain "surrendered to Jesus", not be "lukewarm" but remain "on fire" for God, all all VAGUE concepts, for which there is no GOLD STANDARD to measure against by which you can be sure you are doing these things. Just identifying these types of problems for what they are brings me massive relief! Please do more videos on this type of content.
As a lifelong atheist, I find myself at a crossroads with Christianity. Except it's not a simple cross...There are literally *thousands* of roads. Tens of thousands. _(Millions, if you really want to get into specifics.)_ A seemingly infinite number of entrances, all created and maintained by human beings. I have to figure out which one God wants me to be on, and then successfully be there at the moment I die...or else I risk being tortured for eternity?? How on Earth am I supposed to choose the right path before I die? It is literally impossible for me to give them all a chance. It's also impossible for me to know which one is correct using my brain, because none are evidently supported by the reality my brain has interacted with so far. (Honestly, the best it gets is which path actively contradicts reality & itself the least!) Oh yeah, not to mention there's likely a magical being actively using its powers to hide the correct path from me, *on top* of its entrance already being buried by the existence of thousands of other entrances. 😵💫 It's not only immoral, unjust, and straight up evil for a God to send me to Hell for failing to be on the correct path at the moment of my death...It's just a ridiculous expectation. It is literally impossible. So impossible that the idea I actually deserve punishment is simply ludicrous! My free will to believe (correctly) is actively being violated. I do not have the free will to follow the correct path! I do not even have the freedom to assume that the correct entrance is currently available to me. What's especially frustrating is that the inhabitants of each path all tell me the choice is clear...and I'm simply choosing to not follow the correct path (aka following them down their path). When, in reality, they have not actually made the choice they're expecting me to make. The choice they claim to have made themselves (thereby possessing the ability to actually advise me). They were not given the same choice as me; the same chance to look at all paths equally and choose for themselves. They all claim that God and truth are the reasons they chose & are sticking to their path, when really it's the humans in their life that led them. 🤷♀️
Simple Answer to all your frustrations. Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life." (John 14:6a) You can only find those three truths if you give your ALL to Jesus. That is the pathway to life. The straight and narrow pathway. Jesus has revealed Himself in His Word, and all you need to know to be on the "right path". You need to trust Him.
My dad believes in once saved always saved, and I think that it’s partly to feel better about the fact that I’m an atheist, and he’s realized I’m never going to believe again.
When I was a Christian in the SDA church they explained salvation through faith had to include works because the result of being saved was that you produce “good fruit”. They based it on Corinthians letter of Paul that talks about the fruits of the spirit. Word gerrymandering to make it make sense 🙄!
100%. Once you sincerely read the Bible, you’re left with more questions than answers. I’ve wrestled with pastors over this topic and several other key Bible philosophies. When you question anything, even with scripture, you almost immediately become the problem and boy is that a CONFUSING place to be.
@ I don’t know how old you are but you seem awful young to me for such understanding. When I started, I was like the old preverbal bull dog that would not let go. Having too much knowledge of the Bible often makes for a lonely life.
When I die if somehow the Christian god is real and asks me “why did you stop seeking me?” I will respond “I never knew you” since if he is real he does a terrible job at communicating
As a Christian these things have bothered me as well. I’ve become very frustrated and have cried several times over the concept of hell. It’s not a place I want a single person to go to.. not one. I’ve decided to go for hopeful universalism (all will be saved). But I won’t pretend I know for sure or have all the answers. No one knows for sure. As such I’ve decided to focus exclusively on love.
Why is there such a huge discrepancy between denominations and how do we determine which particular one is right? @@kevinx7015

Yeah when i was deconstructing it was a sobering thought. No one knows anything about what comes after.

Believers don’t treat the source material seriously? 😂 The reformation happened. I think those guys at least took it pretty seriously

Yeah some holy spirit there
As someone who can say with 100%, certainty at a point in time that I was "saved," I told people about the gospel at work, risking my job.
We took the faith seriously, that's how we know it's flawed.
It makes no sense for something so tiny to be deserving of such a horrible punishment.

religion is abusive, plain and simple.

So Christianity isn't about salvation and all that salvation entails ?
Wow, a new insight . . .

I couldn't figure this out, got saved at like 20 different churches bc it was the only way i could figure out to make them happy.
Brandon the 🐐.
Ha. Thank you
Brilliant, Brandon. It's hard to imagine how Christians can counter these arguments.
Thank you very much
I didn't realize this until after I deconverted, but the comparison of sheep to goats and especially the presence of the shepherd is rather messed up.
Well, as someone who has worked with both sheep and goats, allow me to put on my best Penn Jillette voice for this:
"That is bullsh!t!"
There's passages that make it sound like if you are really a believer in Jesus you will never sin again
Even Jesus forgives the sins of people and then says go and sin no more
I absolutely agree. Paul believes the spirit of god transforms the believer into a “ new creation”.
@ yeah that's proof that either no Christian on the planet is truly saved or it's all just BS unless a Christian wants to claim they dont sin
And we can add to all that how it says if you're saved or you're praying he'll answer your prayers or if two or more gather and pray for the same thing he'll answer those prayers none of that's true either lol like literally every page you turn in the Bible if you use common sense it just falls apart
@@CommonSense_Skeptic
Right.
I'm of the opinion based on Jesus own claims of what a Christian would be capable of that in fact there are no Christians, only wannabees
One of the best things about no longer being a Christian is not having to worry about debates like this... the ones that are impossible to resolve because the book they're based on can't possibly settle the matter. Each 'side' thinks the bible can resolve it... for their own side of course. But the book is too contradictory for this to be possible.
Sometimes the real humility is to admit "I don't know".

You have to be first believe you’re broken before you can be fixed. That was certainly a realization for me when deconverting.
Because the salvation only came through the crucifixion
The catholics believe he went to hell for 2 or 3 days to preach fools out of the pit. We dont get that, but they do
Even though they only suffered for a few thousand years, and get a chance out. We get eternity, no out.

This is what drove me out of the religion. I remember thinking that construction on my mansion was constantly being halted every time I “sinned”.
I couldn’t live up to holiness
@@allenmitchell09 At first I thought you were actually building your own mansion, and whenever natural construction issues arose you assumed it was because you had committed a sin, and God was punishing you by messing up the construction of your mansion. 😂
Then I thought, "wow, you must be insanely wealthy...like, multi multi millionaire. And it's weird to so casually claim in a UA-cam comment that you actually built your own mansion, as if it's some relatable experience, without any further details."

Then...I remembered how some Christians describe an individual's spot in Heaven with very literal physical terms. I'm dumb! 🤦♀️
I forgot for a moment that some Christians describe Heaven with very literal physical terms...meaning, at first I thought you were claiming you actually built your own mansion, and during the process you mistook natural construction delays for God punishing you for sinning. 😅
Man I almost thought this was one of those crypto scam comments.
Yeah, religion causes schizophrenia for sure
And despite all the confusion about salvation, they still push it on kids and brainwash them into their cult from that point on. It's so frustrating to see how confusing their beliefs are and how convoluted/contrived, and Christians just can't see it until they step away from the faith (I speak from my own experience, saved at 6 and now deconverting at 27).
Yup! So frustrating
Born into it myself friend.was able to get out at 14,my mom finally quit Making me go....2yrs earlier I asked questions that I did not get answers too, instead I got told God knows all and do you Wana burn in hell for eternity.... Sickening really
Well said.
Wow, only 43 volumes. Glad it's easy and accessible to all. 🥴
Interesting post!
Lol
They also argue when I say, "If you die with ONE sin on your soul then it's the fire."
Same with the supposed "age of accountability". Suddenly no Jesus is required - would make God look too unfair for contemporary audiences.
@@dasbus9834 Yep. And the age is WAY too young to be fair.

Your recent videos have been hit after hit. Keep it up, so good.
Thanks so much for that!

This is a good reason why OSAS doesn't work practically speaking to keep believers which every religion needs to do.

I think most treat it as a Sunday social club. They take care of their Jesus obligation then and think little of it the rest of the week.

Well, if you're a serial killer on your deathbed and accept Jesus, everything's hunky dorey.. apparently..
Bravo, Brandon. You do so well when your passion for the truth shines through. Well done on this episode.
Thank you for that.
(Probably didn’t explain that well but I’m no scientist.)
So my instinct (the one that’s supposed to be connected to and drawn to gods) told me, nope, I’m no different than my pet rat and we’re going to the same place when we die-into the Earth.
So yeah I think I actually have a fairly good grasp on what will happen after I die.
They’ve already discovered the seat of consciousness is in the brain. Brain dies, so does consciousness
Such a troublesome and tormenting belief system. Thanks for continuing to bring these issues to light.
Thanks for watching
Excellent analysis of a long-standing problem.
And a crucial one. As a teenager and sporadically through my adulthood, I lost a lot of sleep over this issue, tormented by dread and doubt.
Thank you.
Happy Tuesday folks!
Hey there!
@@MindShift-Brandon Happy so far and now it's getting better! 👍
Hey Sauron. Hope the conquering of Middle Earth is going well.
well you're here, so that's a good start :)
Happy Tuesday to you all.
I really enjoyed this video😊 thank you
So glad to hear it, thanks!
This central issue was the straw that broke my faith.
Thanks for posting this!
My pleasure, thanks for watching.
That's how I feel, Salvation is so confusing and if it's real it shouldn't be.
In a way i think of it as " Future faking," from a very toxic relationship i was in. I only wanted to see the good things and looked to the things he would say(though he would say the opposite later) i held on to the lies. Fear kept me there.
Yes! I always wondered why I fell for abusive men. It makes too much sense now.
The Father of LIES and Murderer of human beings is Satan the Devil as written in John 8: 44
and
billions and billions of Atheists, Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, and fanatics of all kinds of Religions
turned out to be the "HATERS and MURDERERS of human beings", obviously the slaves of Satan the Devil and spreaders of Satanic LIES and false teachings about "hellfire", "Armageddon", "Trinity", "afterlife", "God doesn't exist", "immortality of the souls", "rapture", and "reincarnation"
that
clearly offend, insult, dishonor, and degrade the lives and dignities of human beings and cause their humiliations, degradations, sufferings, pains, griefs, sickness, and DEATHS.
The BIBLE is clearly opposed and against RELIGIONS and ATHEISM
simply because
GOD and JESUS CHRIST respect and value the lives and dignities of human beings and care about their welfare
and
LOVING, KIND, RESPECTFUL, and SUBMISSIVE persons on earth
who
willingly submit to the authority of Jesus Christ in their obedience to what's written in Matthew 28: 18 and never associate and make friends too with liars, traitors, cruel, merciless, and deceitful persons
will
definitely be honored and rewarded by the Sovereign GOD with ETERNAL LIFE and existence on earth without sufferings, pains, griefs, sickness, and death as written in Revelation 21: 3, 4
and
the teachings of Jesus Christ about the "Kingdom of God" and "Resurrection of the Dead" written in Luke 4: 43 and John 11: 25, 26 are the guarantee
that
LOVING, KIND, RESPECTFUL, and SUBMISSIVE persons on earth
who
died recently and thousands of years ago like Abel, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Job, Naomi, Ruth, King David, Jesus Christ's Followers and disciples, and many others
will
all be RESURRECTED back to life in the right and proper time so they can happily and abundantly live and exist on earth forever as submissive and obedient subjects of the "KINGDOM of GOD"
and
fully enjoy the eternal love, kindness, goodness, generosities, compassions, favors, and blessings of GOD and his Christ for eternity under the loving and kind rulership, guidance, and protection of Jesus Christ as the Sovereign GOD's Chosen King and Ruler of the heavens and the earth as written in Revelation 11: 15.
Boom! nice summary of a divided house
Thanks!
Bless this young man 🙏
As a lifelong atheist, I find myself at a crossroads with Christianity.
(Honestly, the best it gets is which path actively contradicts reality & itself the least!)
Oh yeah, not to mention there's likely a magical being actively using its powers to hide the correct path from me, *on top* of its entrance already being buried by the existence of thousands of other entrances. 😵💫
It's not only immoral, unjust, and straight up evil for a God to send me to Hell for failing to be on the correct path at the moment of my death...It's just a ridiculous expectation.
I absolutely loved this! It is so pointless to me that Christians argue over this issue
Thank you!
When I was a Christian in the SDA church they explained salvation through faith had to include works because the result of being saved was that you produce “good fruit”. They based it on Corinthians letter of Paul that talks about the fruits of the spirit. Word gerrymandering to make it make sense 🙄!
If salvation cannot be lost, that means there are souls in heaven WHO ARE TRYING TO GET OUT!!!!
100%. Once you sincerely read the Bible, you’re left with more questions than answers. I’ve wrestled with pastors over this topic and several other key Bible philosophies. When you question anything, even with scripture, you almost immediately become the problem and boy is that a CONFUSING place to be.
One of my stepping stones to atheism is when I stopped fearing Hell. And then I realized that Heaven was just as ridiculous.
Brandon, I admire your tenacity.
Thank you!
@ I don’t know how old you are but you seem awful young to me for such understanding. When I started, I was like the old preverbal bull dog that would not let go. Having too much knowledge of the Bible often makes for a lonely life.
Boom! Here we go!
hiya SPC
Always wondered about this one. Good topic Brandon.
Thank you much!
Loving God and loving my neighbor as myself. Being gentle, slow to anger, kind, helpful to others, treating people with respect. We get so lost and divided that we forget to focus on loving each other..
SATAN the DEVIL, ATHEISM, and RELIGIONS versus the SOVEREIGN GOD and JESUS CHRIST
Satan the Devil is the Father of LIES and MURDERER of human beings as written in John 8: 44
and
ATHEISM and RELIGIONS are being used by Satan the Devil to LIE, DECEIVE, and MURDER human beings
because
the Satanic LIES and false teachings about "hellfire", "Armageddon", "Trinity", "afterlife", "God doesn't exist", "immortality of the souls", "rapture", and "reincarnation"
will
definitely bring and cause the dishonor, disgrace, shame, downfall and ETERNAL DEATHS
of
billions and billions of Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, fanatics of all kinds of Religions, and Atheists
while
Jesus Christ is the One given by GOD all authority in heaven and on earth as written in Matthew 28: 18
and
LOVING, KIND, RESPECTFUL, and SUBMISSIVE persons on earth
who
honor and obey Jesus Christ as their loving, kind, and merciful Master and Heavenly King and don't associate and make friends too with liars, traitors, cruel, merciless, and deceitful persons
will
definitely be favored and rewarded by the loving, kind, and merciful GOD with ETERNAL LIFE and existence on earth without sufferings, pains, griefs, sickness, and death as written in Revelation 21: 3, 4
and
the teachings of Jesus Christ about the "Kingdom of God" and "Resurrection of the Dead" written in Luke 4: 43 and John 11: 25, 26 are the guarantee
that
LOVING, KIND, RESPECTFUL, and SUBMISSIVE persons on earth

You don't need religion to believe that.❤
