Imagine how it would feel if you bought a good car. The T-roc is a rubish car. Cheap plastic, bad handling.
2 more days and then i have my own car after 3 months. T-roc never again and VW unworthy

@@DieFliegeinderSuppe Go to your nearest VW dealer. Ask for the most basic version of the T roc. Testdrive it. Then tell us what you think of the: ' i'm all over the place' handling. It is real shitty.
Got my Focus St-line today so after 3 months of Troc hell it's finally over. Thank god!

I'm maybe late to the party, but I just bought this car as my first car. A test drove it and it's still very enjoyable to drive. Really feels like an extension of yourself.

Autogefühl good to hear
The plastic on the inside of the front daylight LEDs seems very tacky. Otherwise not a bad design! I like where VW is taking its looks.

VW now has the best Active infotainment system in the market for the price segment. Hope this comes to india with the Troc
The only thing that would stop me from buying one is the fuel economy. Currently getting 60mpg from a Seat Leon 1.6D. So it's gonna be hard to beat that economy. Great review!
I have the T-roc sel 194bhp tsi. What a first class vehicle. I must say there are a few, I mean a few minor irritations, for example, the front cup holder. Cup retainers plus sliding cover would perfect the cockpit in my opinion. Otherwise, a perfect car, a perfect drive. One which I would highly recommend.

With seat adjusting knob it's easier to fine-tune the position on the go, for example then you get in with thicker clothes on colder days or otherwise.

I also agree with people throwing out trash out of their window are trash... I had one dude throwing out a cigarette pack on the Autobahn at 180kph slamming against my windshield... I'll never understand how ignorant some people can be

What about something for real volks people with reasonable price like 1.5tsi 150ps DSG version with front wheel drive and standard torsion beam suspension?

Nippy little Crossover,Good looking outside ,inside is ok but looks too much like a Golf with some hard plastic areas instead.A good second car for city driving IMHO,

I drove this one a while ago.. it was striking how much hard plastics there were.. While sound isolation was decent (except tire noise, but i was on 19 inch wheels), the only thing i found disturbing was that the wind noise was excessive.

Hallo Thomas, wie immer ein tolles Video über meine Cabrio- und Motorrad Hausstrecke rund um Kettwig (und für mich zugleich eine gute Englischnachhilfe). Ich bin sehr gespannt auf das für 2020 angekündigte T-Roc Cabrio. Wir fahren heute (als einzige Familienauto) einen EOS mit einem für Cabrioverhältnisse sehr großen Kofferraum und sind daher insbesondere auf die Abmessungen des T-Roc Cabrio Gepäckabteils gespannt. Daher würden wir uns sehr über deinen Test dazu freuen (und ggf. vorher über das T-Cross Cabrio).

Great review Thomas. Hard plastic on the top dash. Why ? The Polo has a soft touch dash top. Door cards all hard plastic again, like a van. Such a shame as its a great looking SUV and seems to drive well, they had a winner here if they did not penny pinch. However here in the UK you can buy a Volvo XC-40 for the same money as this 2.0 T Roc.

the fuel consumption is too high! 8l/100km with slow and smooth drive , too high. My Rav4 with these driving conditions shows abt 6.5-7l / 100km. T-roc is a Great car anyway

I don't like turning knob for seat back aswell.I have lever for back of seat just like inclination and hight, on Opel Zafira Tourer.

normally an automatic closing door for the boot is a useless option for me, but this afternoon I went to the dealer and this T-Roc's door is very hard to close manually, you have to use a lot of force to get it moving, and then you have to push on the outside of the door to close it. I don't see elderly people managing this without difficulty

I just have small problem with the comparison this vw-roc to Vw golf.
As you said this is Vw t roc 2.0 tsi dsg 190ps 4motion.I just think it will be a bit difficult to find golf with same speck.
And the price of this particular car wow!!!!
It will be great if somebody can compare for example Vw t roc 1.5 tsi 150ps evo dsg with Vw golf 1.5 tsi 150ps evo dsg.
I think this will be proper comparison of comfort,driving,and noise insulation.
Why I mentioned those two versions of the cars ? For only one reason.
There are differences between this two cars even with the same speck ,especially if you talk about suspension.
Vw golf have multilink suspension ,compared to Vw t roc torsion beam for example.
Most petrolheads know how is this translated to ride comfort.
Please is there anybody who can do proper comparasion?
I am sure that heavy 4motion t roc with 2.0 tsi engine is a great car but is it affordable for people who will like to change from Vw golf?
Surely most will go for for 1.5tsi evo dsg 150ps.
So I have only one question.
Why nobody want to do proper review of the version I mentioned above???

toyota is only reliable ! there are corean cars also, like kia hyundai, for reliabilité....

Thomas, is it possible to get the upright seating position that you’re a fan of, in a more regular car style? Then you could have better aerodynamics and better handling.
hmm well this is a try to do that I guess.
But in general the real high seating position I just find in SUVs
And I love it , great German engineering

I went to a VW dealer a few days ago to see this very car. I hated the style and design of everything, interior and exterior, except for the seats, but the dealer offered me a test drive anyway and it drives quite nicely. Terribly overpriced though. I'm still scouting the market for the best car in this segment.
There is a very popular SUV that you still didn't tested: the new version of Duster.
I wish but they didnt supply...

Why is it that material quality in the interiors seems to go down at VW these years? Maybe they want to improve margins?

1.5 is good. Consumption is not super super low, but it is reasonable
