I know it’s technically a rung below in terms of size the Skoda Kamiq looks to have better rear seat legroom and for the money can be better equipped. Will definitely on the list to check out when it comes time to purchase especially when the bigger engines come along.
will be looking to buy a compact SUV early next year too and Skoda Kamiq 110 unlimited edition and this would be the top 2 choice too....don't like the Kamiq exterior, don't like the interior of the T-roc...choices (leaning towards T-Roc)
Hey Matt, I’m in the market for a VW or Audi. Would you suggest saving some cash to buy the T-Roc over the Q3? Watching UA-cam clips with you in them is ‘a nice place to be’ 🥰
I imagine it's not as traditional as an old slushmatic, being an 8 speed, they just binned a clutch. It is still a clutch driven box,not torque converter.
Good review Matt well done. Have driven all the main small suvs with the view to buying early 2021. Cx30,seltos, kona, chr, hrv. Was leaning towards cx30 even though it's not as spacious as some others but the driving experience won out. Now that I've seen this review am thinking of testing T-roc. Could make my choice a hard one
It's just beautiful from the outside but the interior is really cheap and very overpriced I would go for the Mazda CX-5 before going to the Vw TRoc, Vw is doing shortcut and it off putting and it really sad I used to lovve there cars but now its just sad
We jumped the line too quickly and went ahead with the 140TSI X version. Expensive as but it looks alright externally. Safety is great but pricing for what you get in the interior and just few bits and bobs that other car makers offer doesn't compare. No wireless caraway, wireless charging, sunglass holders and the screen is still 8 inch. Entry levels elements doesn't doesn't it. Last VW for us and we'll switch to Audi.
Great review Matt. I wanted to love the 140TSI but the pricing was exorbitant for what you were getting. The 110TSI seems like a great buy and places the Roccie back on my list. (Edit: static reverse guide lines are a deal breaker).
@@carsguide there are some technologies which make driving so much easier. Heads up displays, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alerts etc and dynamic reverse lines is another one.
Bought one this week, picking it up this Saturday!
How much did you pay Ben ?
Right now it’s showing 38895 for the base model
This video is showing 33,990
Wanting to buy it but the price seems gone up from 33 k to 38k
Lol, picked mine up last Saturday (second hand, but new to me), love it!
How does it drive uphill with 4 people inside? That’s something you’d struggle to test drive usually and you’d only know about after buying the car

@@ashalim79 would agree with the Troc except for the fact that it's smaller inside and the Skoda has a better interior
Your the only test to mention actual consumption on test !
Love this model and would be nice if we got the R version

Love the look but why don’t they have a single colour leather option, can’t stand the tricolour leather
Thanks for review,i am not an expert but i have decided to buy it,
Wow!!! A “normal” automatic. Thats unheard of. Love it👌. Im so sick of the low speed jitters. Especially in my gla45

I'm waiting to buy in 2022 and considering same choices. Did you test Subaru XV? And Kamiq? What was your final purchase and why?
When and where can I see a 2024 review please 😊
Let's see how this 8-speed torque converter gearbox will go on its sale record.

Have you driven a Cx5 compared to this ! My CX5 diesel had 5 major problems in 2 yrs !

I think vw have hit a home run.! Finally !
Great review. However, you say "it's a nice place to be" far too often.
You are correct.
Sent from a nice place to be.
Matt
I'm ordering one now ! The 8 speed auto won me over ! Rav4 is good but 12mth wait too much !
Is there any delay with T-roc? Tiguan in AU sets you back to May-Sept 2022. Can’t wait that long. I can’t even wait for March for an Audi A3.
Plus TRoc far better drive !
Great review Matt.

Really? Static guidelines would STOP YOU from buying a car? Wow. That's a very specific sticking point.
Cheers
Matt

Under $40000 for German engineering & quiteness , handling & ride.! Vw have finally nailed it !
Oh looks great also.!
@@graemecouch5010 haven’t seen many on the road but when I do, they really stand out. Saw a dark blue one today which looked awesome.
I might consider one now the Dsg is gone ! Tcross too jerky in city traffic !
So true i wanted one but got TRoc for only $2000 more !
DSG is still there for more powerful engines
only one thing wrongwith the 110tsi it could have been a bit higher
Better than the C-HR but that isn't a very high bar.
VW T-Roc R looks even better
I really love it😎❤🔥
I love it♥️
Slightly cynical design where LED daytime lights surround a fake vent.
Simple design...but nice look
مراجعه رائعه ❤
I think VW just ate into there own T Cross sales...and it seem VW & Skoda are losing there love affair with the duel clutch autos.
Better spend a little more and get Octavia LE
Another car not adapted to Australian driving habits - spacesaver tyre. Next!
volkswagens are boring. great cars, but oh, so boring design
VW: Do not buy a Car from Scammers…
For that price that's one boring interior and cheap.
Too expensive
Only if you can’t afford it 😂
I don't like this car, T cross is better
Yeah try driving one in peak hour traffic ?
Good: It's new
Bad: It's SUV
Handy if you need to camouflage at Woolies.
Good. I wait for love from you 💝💖
