Slow living isn’t a trend for me. It's a lifestyle I have embraced for years; I learned it from my mom and grandma. We always just took our time to enjoy the beauty of the everyday. I’m a romantic at heart, with a very practical lifestyle approach “ keep it simple.” I grew up on a farm, which furthered my love of simplicity and back to the basics mindset.
We moved six months ago to our cozy cottage, and we are in the process of fixing it up. I strive to make our home cozy and inviting no matter what stage of remodeling we are in. Making a home hygge and cozy is just a normal way of life for me, and I can’t imagine it any other way.

That would be my favourite day , all the best places and family, foid and friends. Best day out ever 🥰 i love that big oval frame with someone's beloved probably great grandparent in it . The domed glass just gets me. I have a little collection of (brass?) 4"×6", frames with domed glass, I adore them. Ive had a few pictures in them over the years and now I'm thinking I'll put antique looking herb pictures in them for the dining area. That coat that Natasha got was absolutely made for her🖤 the colour and style are just gorgeous. Great idea with the cider kit. Thank you for sharing another amazing video and beautiful day with us. As a native Southerner I can attest to the fact that sweet Iced tea is the perfect drink on a hot summer day. We call it the house wine of the South.:) I am a purist...no lemon or other flavorings for me! Loved all the treasures you picked up and that frame will be the perfect Victorian touch. As for your covered dish...as a nana, I would suggest using it for sweets. I always keep some sweet treats on hand for the grands when they stop by and now some of them are teens but they still know where to look for a treat. Looking forward to your gardening video!

The lovely portrait is called “Pinkie.” It is half of a set of paintings of which the young man is “Blue Boy.” My mother-in-law had a set of bedside table lamps which were one Pinkie and one Blue Boy. She had a beautiful white French provincial bedroom set of furniture. The oval gold picture frame glass is called “beveled glass.” I have my grandparents’ wedding photograph in it’s similar gold frame with beveled glass. It is over 100 years old.
The picture is Pinky of the pair Pinky and Blue Boy. My aunt had the set. So charming.

We had that print of the girl with pink ribbon in our hallway growing up. There is a matching print of a boy in a blue silk suit.

The small mid century casserole dish could hold guest towels rolled up, sanitary items-tampons/pads for guests, fresh baked muffins for a neighbor, wrapped candies at Christmas, coupons, holiday cards, candy canes, nuts, potpourri. Put sand and pebbles inside and grow some paper whites when in season.

I love that covered dish, it’s beautiful, it really appeals to me, I definitely would put your butters in it! I used to collect cut glass dishes and I would use them for serving condiments, like pickles, olives, and cranberry sauce they looked beautiful on my table!

What a lovely day you had with the family 🧡 I have to say my favorite pieces where the little dish( your right would be perfect for homemade butters or salts) but it would also be great to put little succulents in. I also loved the little candle holder. It is beyond adorable. Tasha picked out several beautiful clothing pieces. The jacket is definitely a gorgeous find. It was nice to see her in another video !!

Just so you know, I virtually picked up those chairs 😅 (don’t worry they didn’t get very wet on strapped to the top of the car ) I also love your new butter dish, if you use it for bulbs you won’t see the gorgeous lid. I would use the vintage casserole for sewing notions or pens & pencils. I love to repurpose dishes for all kinds of fun things! I would love to see some tortilla making videos too. The kids have grown so much!

the picture of the pink girl is in the National gallery based on painting of Gainsborough.....there is also a Blue Boy...both very famous paintings...I have the lithigraphs...they are very much loved in the UK..

Your Goodwill hauls are much better than what I can find here. Yes. That cost was fabulous! Stunning find. I love four year old fashion! Sometimes, this soon to be 63 year old tomorrow reverts back. I am glad you got the covered casserole I would use it for setting on counter near dishwasher with dish pods in it. I love dishes with flowers on them. My sis and I use to live in Wyoming when we were two and four I was the four yr old we lived on the edge of a reservation but we would walk out on the prairie and we came across some wooden boxes that had very pretty flowered dishes we would play with so they are special to me.

Don't we love the little touches from a thrift store to make a home cozy. I don't know if you would be interested but I make herbal fruit tea. There are all kinds Celestial Raspberry Zinger & other fruit flavors. I put 12 bags in a pitcher add cold water and let it brew overnight you can add whatever sweetener and lemon slices as well it's very refreshing for summer. You could always pour the liquid in the ice cube tray so the Ice-T doesn't get watered down.

The dish to use for butters is a great idea! I have been making strawberry butter and we are enjoying it on our toast. I would have bought it also. Not a fan of cherubs, but he found a nice cozy spot on your desk😀 The fam had a nice day with mom, and everyone seemed to enjoy❤️ Looking forward to hear more about the permaculture garden. I was going to say what Daniel said - planter for succulents even. The lid, since that’s where cute flowers are, could be hung and use handle part as a hook for potholder, dish towel. You could even use lid as the top to a wind chime of old silverware - use a special bit to drill holes. I love the waddle fences you’ve had those in all the places you lived I remember seeing when you lived in the “woods”. I’m a thrifting queen myself, but I resell too

Great vid!! You could even use pretty dishes that you find but don’t need, and fill them with goodies and share with a neighbor! Then you don’t build clutter bc it’s so fun to buy thrift dishes!

The picture is named something like pink lady and there is an accompanying one called blue boy. My in-laws had both in their living room in gorgeous, ornate frames. I believe they were popular in the 60’s.

It dish complete with cover is such a steal and its beautiful. I think it can be used to put even cooked food such as scrambled eggs or vegetables. It would be great used to serve food on the dining table, çovered before everyone comes together to eat, even those who arrive later!

Love the dish-I got excited when I saw it-as well as the chairs and frame! Myself, I would use the dish for butter, just because I need an additional butter dish and the ones I’ve found haven’t had the right design for our needs and that one would be perfect. I’ll have to be on the lookout for something similar. As a matter of fact, I have one saved on an Etsy shop that I found, but it’s much more expensive than the one you found, which is why I haven’t made a decision on it quite yet.
When I visit my daughter we frequent a shop called “My Mom Had That,” and we both are also drawn to pretty bowls, and find ourselves questioning whether we really need another one…although now the decision is a little easier for me since I moved because I can’t bring all of the bowls in my carry-on now that I live further away!

Love the ceramic refrigerator dish or casserole! I use almost all vintage refrigerator dishes and have a big collection ❤️ You could use it for storing anything! If it’s crazed though, I wouldn’t use it for butter 🧈 Little hard to see the condition from here 😉
