First phase in the remodel process for our master suite, hope you all enjoyed a glimpse into our journey in making our mobile home into a sweet little cottage of our own. Thank you for all the encouragement I get from all your sweet comments!
Oh honey, that wallpaper!😍 its the prettiest wallpaper ever. Ive actually been imagining wallpaper on one wall of this lounge room. The one I love the most has big old fashioned root veg all over. So then I've been thinking it would be better in the dining room. Not sure yet. We've never wallpapered either but learning new skills every house is what we do. I'm definitely going for a cottage feel here. Book piles, candles, little jewellery boxes, sewing baskets and old tins everywhere. Just got to decide on colours. Probably greens . That linen looks beautiful. Our last house totally suited that hogbristle half strength we did , its a bit like your linen colour there. A sauna😮 ive never seen one inside. Thats fantastic. Its all looking beautiful.🥰 I really like how you use decorating and possessions that you love instead of sticking to rules of aesthetics. 💜💜💜

I'm amazed at what you have done so far to your mobile home. I've completely forgot it's a mobile home. You have turned it into a Vintage, cozy cottage/Farmhouse that looks so, so cozy and inviting. It's like going into a time capsule from the 50's with modern flair. If there was an award given to designers for transforming something into an Eclectic/Vintage/Modern. You will definitely get it. Who knows? Maybe if you do research to enter your home into one of those showcase feature in one of those famous magazines, they will most certainly be interested in it. My hat goes off to you and your husband. So far you have done an amazing work. Seriously, I'm not kidding. Your home and lifestyle is very much worth featuring in one of the interior design magazines. Good job.

That wallpaper!😍 I love the soaker tub, how luxurious! I feel the same way about our bed, it makes the whole room seem finished when it’s been freshly made and fluffed.❤️

I love the wallpaper too....I was thinking if the painting over tub had its frame painted the same soft sage green pulled from the wallpaper....it would really draw your eyes to it upon entering room. Your hand towels could be a mixture of the colors from wallpaper, changing out per the seasons.

I would have never known your house was a doublewide I started watching your meal videos first. You have done a amazing job on your house. I know it was a family effort with your husband and children. Your husband is very talented and I you work so well together. The family closet is such a great thing my daughter did it in her 1792 farmhouse renovation she had the room in her laundry room to make it the family closet right beside the bathroom and her master bedroom. Funny thing is she was born in 1992 she said that she said made her even more sure this was her home also it reminded her of her grandparents house.

Thanks so much! 😊 It does feel like things are starting to take shape, it feels like just yesterday we were camping in the house on the floor in the middle of all the construction.

I love what y’all have done and you could not have said it better, remodeling comes in stages and layers of remodeling and decorating. I also feel like a huge part of that is getting bins to go to the dump and getting a million supplies and making returns. So many details. But on the bright side of living in the home that you redid yourselves is that you know you did the best you absolutely could 😊💜. I have been a collector for so many years to the point I think you could sum up my style because I don’t like to collect for the sake of collecting. But the way you set the old with the new was beautiful. That bathroom really brought that art piece to life! It’s a dreamy do over for sure 🔥! Congrats! 🎉

I absolutely love it! I was always against wallpaper because of the horror stories of trying to put it up, pattern to match, and trying to remove it. There was also a period where it was “out of fashion” but I absolutely love what you did with it. If I have have the fortune of owning I home I may use wallpaper in it now. Beautiful!

I agree with you on the bedding. I love layering. I walk through my bedroom several times a day. Seeing my bed made is so motivational and comforting to my mind. We live in a double-wide and are doing some updates too. Can’t wait to be done.

I love that wall paper as well. I have taken down so much wallpaper, I said I would never have it again but in small spaces I think it is lovely. I also enjoyed seeing you and your husband make your bed together. A wise older couple shared with my husband and me that they made their bed together each morning. and they recommended that practice to all newlyweds. Well 46 years later and we still make our bed together each morning. Your house is going to be beautiful and I think it is great that you put such thought into the renovation and what works for you. The family closet idea is one that would benefit many families with young children.

My children are grown up now, I'm 63, and my husband 64, but the outdoors your family enjoys as well as baking treats to have on hand to your decor to reconstructing houses I know all very well. Your channel brings back so many memories for me. I am always learning from you. Your content on contentment is so very true. Wish I would have known that earlier in my life. Life is a gift everyday and it is what we do with it that shapes our attitude towards life. Finding beauty in some part of each day brings us closer to gratitude. I also love to thrift shop, and garage sale. Being able to spend a day thrifting, or garage sales is a wonderful day for me. I have a nice length of Norfolk Rose (the pattern of your comforter on the off chance you didn’t know) I picked up at the thrift store to put into a quilt (my husband wants a quilt very much) for my bed. It’s been almost 18 years and I *still* haven’t figured out how I want our room….

We started work on a small bathroom laundry room and home office over a year ago. Still not done. We don’t know how install trim and about three pieces of tile need to be replaced. One day. Really agree with you, nothing like a good bed to go back at night, in the bathroom just would do a longer mirror, going down and a older picture frame around that gorgeous painting, just an opinion 😊🙄

I love your new home! Thanks for sharing the whole process. Could you explain how you fit your large family in the house. I have a large family and that is always a challenge.
We lived with eight people in an RV while building a house and we lived in 700sq feet in our last cottage, this house is just under 2000 sq feet so this would be a good topic to cover in another video! Thank you for the suggestion :)
Doesn’t any buddy iron anymore. It looks good but a little ironing on the bed skirt looks better.

Hi Abby Jo! I am really enjoying your channel. I agree that a comfortable bed is so important and a luxury. I hope this question isn't too personal but what brand of mattress did you select. Mine needs to be replaced and there are many choices among types of mattresses!

But I’m planning on doing research and finding a better quality bed in the future. I would love a more natural or organic one, but I don’t know much about those yet. ❤️
@@ForgottenWayFarms I like organic as well but when I learned that most mattress companys use latex in their product and call it organic or natural. I suppose legally they can but..I'm allergic to latex! I can't use gloves or bandaids...many things. Can't even imagine what a mattress would be like😳😣

Luv the bedding ♥️ Luv the wallpaper, bathtub and painting. All gorgeous 🖤 I feel like the bathroom mirror is too small and the wrong shape for the area 🤔 I feel a larger oval mirror in an ornate frame above the sink would look amazing but that’s just my opinion though 😉
The mirror is just a holder for know. I have had it for years, not what I want there. I know what I want but haven't found it yet :) I will show it off when I do. Oval and very ornate is my goal :)

Consider installing a larger oval mirror over your bathroom vanity, I think you will be very happy with the look
