I love to simmer cinnamon sticks and apples in the fall. Its definitely fills your home with a happy scent. I bet the lemon and rosemary smells very clean. Thanks for sharing!

This is a cheaper hack for those like me who cannot afford essential oil: just go to the dollar store and pick a plug-in warmer refill that you like and then pop the top off so it is opened up, and use that as your essential oil.
Be careful though because it might stains surfaces or cloth. Test first.

I just had to tell you I made this on the stove this evening and my 4 year old daughter (who is my tough critic with no filter) came in and asked "mom! What is that amazing smell"? When I mentioned what it was she said " yeah, and it doesn't even smell disgusting"! I guess I have to give it two thumbs up because it really does smell amazing!!! Thanks for your videos!!!

I recently purchased a tripple milled soap bar from TJMaxx made in England (they have beautiful luxurious soap bars, so many different kinds) it is wrapped in a beautiful covering.. i just put it in our bedroom (my husband and i) and the whole room smells incredible!! like wow.. i wasn't expecting that at all!! I placed it there because its beautifully wrapped plus it is for my mother when she visits from out of state.. So this random situation turned into a great idea... i told my husband i want to buy different soaps and place them in different areas of our home! And you cannot beat the beauty of these soaps.. so many to choose from.. ❤👍

I love to the stove simmer idea. I use to save orange and lemon peels and if I had any fresh herbs or dried cinnamon I'd simmer it on the stove The whole house smelled amazing!! Thanks for the reminder 🧡

Great tips! I love your enthusiasm, how fast you talk - getting good information out quickly, and the short length of you vids. You are an expert editor. I get happy when I see you've posted a new video and I'm still marathoning your old ones. -And going back to the Dollar Tree (where I never shopped) on a regular basis. we had something similar to the first one, but we used an old tin coffee can! we'd put orange peels and cinnamon in it, and kept it lower than simmer point, but it still worked really well! i definitely recommend it, especially in the winter, because it keeps moisture in the air (meaning less dry sinuses and cracked lips!)
and for some medicinal benefits, you can try a four thieves blend; clove, cinnamon leaf, rosemary, lemon, and eucalyptus. this mix was used in the middle ages to stave off illnesses and plagues and it can keep you from getting sick. i used to always get the flu and colds every winter until i started using a four thieves essential oil, and now i get by with the sniffles at most.

These are all great ideas!! And when you change out your baking soda, pour it in your drain, pour in some vinegar, and it will bubble up and clean your drain. I am going to try all these ideas because they are natural. I also read that you can put some vodka in a small spray bottle, add a little essential oil, and shake. This makes a natural air freshener, and the vodka is the preservative so it will last for years.

    • @ilovenoodles7483

Yes, I make vodka and eso sprays. With the vodka you don't get the smell like you would with rubbing alcohol. Just a really nice eso scent. I also use baking soda and vinegar to clean my drains. Works great!

you are so awesome! i have rosemary too. i bring mine in in the winter because i have it in a pot. i guess i should plant it in the ground this spring. i ADORE! rosemary and i love to mix a batch of rosemary with lavender! they smell wonderful together. they almost look like each other too, maybe they are meant to be together. i will definitely be trying the lemon and rosemary simmer. i do lots of simmering with oranges and cinnamon. it does make the house smell wonderful and rosemary is very good for you and your memory. and lord knows i need that. the soap in the drawers!!! genius! i am a soap freak and i have sooooo many bars of soap.. a lot of them i buy just for the scent and what a great way to get to smell them! i love that. i love watching you and your videos. your energy and all that you come up with just always makes my day.

When I put something on the stove to simmer, I set the timer so I won’t forget about it! Boiling out the water will not only ruin your pan, but you chance a fire

I've always done dryer sheets in my drawers, never thought about perfume or body spray, I always get tons of that at Christmas! I've done Epsom salt baths before and they always make my bathroom smelling wonderful, I wonder if there was someway to do that in a jar...
