I love to simmer cinnamon sticks and apples in the fall. Its definitely fills your home with a happy scent. I bet the lemon and rosemary smells very clean. Thanks for sharing!
@@DoItOnaDime This is a cheaper hack for those like me who cannot afford essential oil: just go to the dollar store and pick a plug-in warmer refill that you like and then pop the top off so it is opened up, and use that as your essential oil. Be careful though because it might stains surfaces or cloth. Test first.
I just had to tell you I made this on the stove this evening and my 4 year old daughter (who is my tough critic with no filter) came in and asked "mom! What is that amazing smell"? When I mentioned what it was she said " yeah, and it doesn't even smell disgusting"! I guess I have to give it two thumbs up because it really does smell amazing!!! Thanks for your videos!!!
I recently purchased a tripple milled soap bar from TJMaxx made in England (they have beautiful luxurious soap bars, so many different kinds) it is wrapped in a beautiful covering.. i just put it in our bedroom (my husband and i) and the whole room smells incredible!! like wow.. i wasn't expecting that at all!! I placed it there because its beautifully wrapped plus it is for my mother when she visits from out of state.. So this random situation turned into a great idea... i told my husband i want to buy different soaps and place them in different areas of our home! And you cannot beat the beauty of these soaps.. so many to choose from.. ❤👍
I love to the stove simmer idea. I use to save orange and lemon peels and if I had any fresh herbs or dried cinnamon I'd simmer it on the stove The whole house smelled amazing!! Thanks for the reminder 🧡
Great tips! I love your enthusiasm, how fast you talk - getting good information out quickly, and the short length of you vids. You are an expert editor. I get happy when I see you've posted a new video and I'm still marathoning your old ones. -And going back to the Dollar Tree (where I never shopped) on a regular basis. I'm organizing my house a bit each day. -Admiring some of my own cabinets now! Thanks again, Girl! Keep up the good work!
I agree with this comment above. I really like how bubbly, happy, and "awake" you sound - some people who post videos have no energy, and are in dire need of a nap, it seems. I recently watched one on organization that made me feel worse after I had watched it. lol Where did you get that honeycomb sock organizer thing?
we had something similar to the first one, but we used an old tin coffee can! we'd put orange peels and cinnamon in it, and kept it lower than simmer point, but it still worked really well! i definitely recommend it, especially in the winter, because it keeps moisture in the air (meaning less dry sinuses and cracked lips!) and for some medicinal benefits, you can try a four thieves blend; clove, cinnamon leaf, rosemary, lemon, and eucalyptus. this mix was used in the middle ages to stave off illnesses and plagues and it can keep you from getting sick. i used to always get the flu and colds every winter until i started using a four thieves essential oil, and now i get by with the sniffles at most.
Popsicle sticks...I now have an alternative :) I spray card stock or business cards and stick them in the drawer. I also use dryer sheets from time to time. Thanks for sharing.
If you like the scent of a perfume sample in a fashion magazine, tear it out. Put it w/ the scented flap open in your clothing drawer...works as well as the bar of soap trick.
Brilliant ideas and all with no chemicals!! Thank you , it's amazing how many people are happy to fill their home with artificial aromas just because they think it's easy. I hadn't thought of the drops of oil inside the loo roll , I put drops of essential oil on a bowl of pine cones I have in the bathroom.
I have often saved perfume ads to put in drawers, but never thought of just spritzing my favorite scents onto popsicle sticks! Genius, and so simple! We leave an open box of baking soda in the fridge, but the mason jar idea is much prettier. Thanks for sharing!
Omg!! I am soooo trying the bar of soap!!! Dove has the winter care limited edition bars and they smell soooo good!! Now all my clothes will smell like that!! Love it. Thank you for sharing!!
+CORKY NATURAL CREATIONS Corena Garoutte when you can smell the soap anymore use a potato peeler and peel a couple of layers off. It will smell like a new bar of soap. Keep doing this untill .......

These are all great ideas!! And when you change out your baking soda, pour it in your drain, pour in some vinegar, and it will bubble up and clean your drain. I am going to try all these ideas because they are natural. I also read that you can put some vodka in a small spray bottle, add a little essential oil, and shake. This makes a natural air freshener, and the vodka is the preservative so it will last for years.
Yes, I make vodka and eso sprays. With the vodka you don't get the smell like you would with rubbing alcohol. Just a really nice eso scent. I also use baking soda and vinegar to clean my drains. Works great!
Love the simmer with the lemon and rosemary. I use fabric softener sheets and put them in my draws and pillows cases filled with the sheet set when I put them away. Alway use coupons and get the fabric sheets really cheap
Hello! I just finished binge watching all the previous seasons of The Good Wife and thought I would be catching up on my sleep...that is until I just found your channel! I am going to do every one of the suggestions you have walked us through above and I will be binge watching your channel and will have my notebook at the ready. I can't wait ♥ Namaste
You seem like such a natural person. Have you ever looked into cloth diapering? I fell in love with it and you would love it because it saves money and I know you love that😉
Amazing tips. Soap one reminded me of my mom's hack. she used to place empty soap packet/cover in the closets for a fresh fragrance.. she never used to throw them in the bin right away. :)
you are so awesome! i have rosemary too. i bring mine in in the winter because i have it in a pot. i guess i should plant it in the ground this spring. i ADORE! rosemary and i love to mix a batch of rosemary with lavender! they smell wonderful together. they almost look like each other too, maybe they are meant to be together. i will definitely be trying the lemon and rosemary simmer. i do lots of simmering with oranges and cinnamon. it does make the house smell wonderful and rosemary is very good for you and your memory. and lord knows i need that. the soap in the drawers!!! genius! i am a soap freak and i have sooooo many bars of soap.. a lot of them i buy just for the scent and what a great way to get to smell them! i love that. i love watching you and your videos. your energy and all that you come up with just always makes my day.
Thanks so much for the simmer tip! My girlfriend and I have been looking for essential oil alternatives because they’re not safe for our cat. So excited to try!

Love the ideas. I love the stove top scents for the holidays and the paper roll idea really does work I do it all the time. Do you really kept your drawers that organized? I try but fail all the time.
Hi Kathryn 🙂 I know this is an older video, but I wanted to still ask: 1) How long does the scent on the toilet paper roll tend to last? 2) How long does the scent on the popsicle stick tend to last? God Bless! 😇

Thanks, Kathryn! Great video - My family and I have done different ones over the years. For many years, my aunt had a simmering recipe taped inside a kitchen cabinet door.
Hi Kathryn great tips, i love them all. I have a question about the simmer, if I don't have fresh rosemary can I use rosemary essential oil? Thanks a lot, I love all your tips. I followed one of your pantry organization method, it is a huge success finally my pantry is organized. Keep it up girl and congrats for your baby boy. Xoxo
Yes you can use rosemary eso! Not too much tho, it's very strong. Sometimes I just add a little peppermint and vanilla eso's to my little glass pot that I keep on my stove. The possibilities of different scents are endless! Cinnamon sticks with cloves and orange slices smell really nice too, and you can reuse the cinnamon sticks! Have fun with it!
Hay there, great tips on the lemon & vanilla in a pan of water and dropping essential oils on the cardboard toilet paper holder. and good idea on putting the soap in the dresser drawers. something that I do, that I believe I got off of youtube, is when I finish a bottle of perfume I put it in my dresser drawers and also when one of my air freshener bottles is empty I will put it in one of my dresser or chest of drawers.

Mixing with witch hazel is much more cost effective, in my opinion, and then you're left with only the scent of the oil
